Hard times create traumatized men who look for easy ways out, cut corners and ignore their responsibilities to the people around them. War doesn’t create men that are great fathers, they become detached and absent, and the cycle perpetuates until a generation becomes mindful and breaks the cycle.
My father was an army ranger in Mosul, and my uncle was a ranger embedded with CIA in Afghanistan. They both saw some of the most intense fighting of the second Gulf War, and they are some of the greatest men and kind, attentive fathers I’ve ever seen. War doesn’t just turn you into a zombie, hard experiences can shape your character.
@@ryangustin4752 My Grandfather served as a Medic in WWII, a Purple Heart recipient and used the GI bill to get a degree and became a professor. I can see the effect he had on my uncles and my father. My other Grandpa was a SeaBee in the Korean War, never saw active duty but was always stationed abroad and I see the effects of his absence in my other uncles. It does happen
You had me at hard men

Hard times create tough men
Tough men create good times
Good times create weak men
Weak men create hard times

@@Hedningen1 suit yourself, no one said you had to agree with my reality. One things for certain your ignorance doesn’t change anything.
Samwise would like a word with you...
Shit I'm a gardener, should I join the military?
So is it hard times or good times right now? You get a different answer every time.
💪💯
It's funny cause we're currently in hard times
What's funny is that the people who came up with this are the ones causing the hard times
