The Outsider offered Corvo those powers and wanted to watch him like a lab rat using them. Then Corvo goes out and does this without any of the magic he was offered has to be the single largest flex in all reality.
@@lizsigma9451I completely agree. From a narrative standpoint, it also gives Corvo an ace up his sleeve. If there are no witnesses to Corvo using the gifts of the outsider, then the opportunity to use them when completely necessary would only make Corvo more terrifying and formidable. Imagine if Dishonored was a film, and for a majority of the film, we see and hear Corvo without the mask. When we do see Corvo with the mask, it’s in the background of scenes including his targets. Only the audience is aware of him. He’s truly a spirit of sorts, almost existing in another world. For the audience, we may be confused that we never see Corvo using his powers. “Is this even the same dishonored? Where’s the Outsider? Where are the powers?” Then, something happens (like act 9), and we see Corvo possess a rat or manifest somewhere using blink/stop time. As a collective, that would be a holy shit moment. Additionally: If Daud has accomplished all that he has with the powers, and Corvo has done feats as impressive without them, then it makes all the difference the moment Corvo’s tattoo lights up.
The fact you can do this mostly without any breaking the rules more than a handful of times is pretty incredible. When I played this game years ago I knew it was good, but I had no idea you could do so well without even using the powers; I'd say it shows the game's quality. I'm also glad your run doesn't rely on exploits or glitches or anything like that, that's part of the reason I never liked most speed run videos.
I'm glad this is getting a little bit more attention, i can't even begin to imagine how long you might have had to practice or reset some of these levels. I'll never get tired of seeing gameplay or challenges of this game
The only downside is that plague kills everyone after this since you've left Pietro and Anton to their doom. Awesome run, been giggling through all of it xD The man has all the skills he needs, to hell with paintings, coins and distractions! Went in, went out, done.
This is pretty swanky. Some of the parts in here made my jaw drop. I was trying to figure out how you would deal with Curnow in mission 2, but I never expected him to just not look for you and instead walk away. The cherry on top was the two overseers who busted in just after that and then did the exact same thing. So great. So good. Very nice work. I can't imagine the time and effort that went into researching and practicing this.
Yeah, I don't know why that works but it does as long as you approach him slightly behind Curnow. If you do in front of Curnow he will fight you and Ghost will break.
@@NatteeeI’m currently replaying Dishonored and I was able to have success without quite as much risk-I suspect you already know, but if you spill the drinks, the high overseer will take Curnow to his hidden chamber. He’ll bait Curnow into inspecting the painting closely, with the intent of stabbing him in the back. During that time, I was able to quietly snag the overseer without Curnow spotting me-he seemed to get the memo and run for it, all the same! Edit: Wanted to clarify that yours is defo more efficient. Just noting it cuz it’s interesting the different ways to nonlethal on this mission while still saving Curnow

@@HushtheMag no need to get agressive boss. I just find it incredible that dishonored, as a game, is beatable while not interacting with such a majority of gameplay mechanics. While the devs very clearly intended dishonored to be a sandbox experience, and i have done my own share of weird challenge runs to see what i can get away with. Runs like this are just very impressive and probably not something the devs had in mind when making the game. "Could someone beat this without using a majority of these mechanics we put into it"
"Neutral Zone Reached. Try to blend in!" - The game's instructions to a man who just completely submerged himself in raw sewage. No chance Corvo gets to spend more than two seconds in the party before security gets called to boot him. Nice run, by the way. Reminds me of the old legend Prenatual and his "Nihilist" playthrough. I love watching world-class skill like yours.
First of all... You were detected by Samuel literally every mission. So much for no detections. I mean you walked right up to him and said hello. Also i really wished dishonored had a 3rd person cam you could watch after a run. It would be hilarious to see the serious and deadly lord protector hopping everywhere. The reason there are no detections is that no one will admit to seeing Corvo. "Did you just see a guy carying a body bunny hop past us?"... "Are you getting sick man? Do you have a fever? Is it the plague?" 😅 "No! I guess I'm just tired."
At first I thought this run used glitches but without glitches, no power ups, and hard difficulty is just boss move, keep it up man, really awesome run.
Ugh this game. So damn good. I beat it straight evil first time, because I wanted to get the killing animations and cool abilities the first time. But when I got the ending, and how bad it gets even with your closest friends, I was so taken aback that I instantly replayed the game on a strictly no kill campaign. One of my favorite 360 titles hands down. This playthrough os actually crazy dude 😂😂💀 good shit!
i think this video does a great justice to showing how dishonored is one of the greatest stealth games ever made but an incredibly difficult one to master. a run which canonically shows how corvo is meant to be played (much different from my own where i was guns akimbo and died to river krusts more than id like to admit).
This was always my favorite way to do the game, it's such a power fantasy. I only managed to do it a few times, though, and not nearly as clean as this. Kudos. First mission in particular is such a run killer. The amount of times I've been spotted after jumping off the bridge... I get a headache just thinking about it.
This is what makes this game so good. I platinumed this on PS3 and PS4 and used different routes each time and you've got all new routes here. The freedom the game gives you is up there with Hitman
After two complete runs on this game, one in Low Chaos and another on High, I cannot watch this without thinking you're INSANE, all the things you have done in this run shows an immense knowledge on the game and the levels, huge respect buddie!
I'm fcking wheezing XD No, first of all - a wonderful run. I tip my hat and express my honest fascination by the run, a masterpiece by the definition. A literal "We have no idea why things've changed, Corvo, and we doubt you had any part to play in that, you lazy bum" playthrough :D However The way you traverse the streets of Dunwall... I just lost it XD XD Corvo Toadttano The froghost of Dunwall :D
The guards and Daud’s assassins: “How is it possible that nobody saw or even heard him!?” Them: “Sir, we believe that Corvo was bunny hopping. Which as we all know is the most stealthy way to navigate, sir.”
It's pretty funny to visualize all this in 3rd person, with Corvo sorta bunny hopping around quietly. It also makes me yearn for another Thief game. Dishonored has slightly similar-ish world, so seeing this type of "thief" like playstyle makes me think how fun it would be to ghost around people just to steal shit.
I can’t believe that you’ve basically turned this into a minimalist Thief game lol. Also I really want to write a small story on this version of Corvo, the ultimate ghost. Cause with anyone who could’ve possibly seen him end up silenced it’s fun to imagine the *ghost* stories that would happen when the right hand of the queen suddenly reappears without a word with the heir to the throne also with him.
Aside from Lady Boyle and Daud maybe, I'd say all other non-lethal methods are worse than death for the targets. I think the High Overseer has it the worst.
@@jep1st Well Lady Boyle is pretty much turning her into a sex slave for a deranged fan.... Without the additional content we could assume she never sees the light of day again. As for Daud...having him LIVE is cruel, the guy can't get a break.

Hello!! First I want to say your run is SO impressive and the lack of save-scumming blew my damn mind. I’ve played the Dishonored series a lot, and recently my friend gave me a friendly challenge to go through stealth, but no knockouts. I always play ghost/clean hands because I’m terrible at combat, but I’m having some trouble in the first mission. Thanks to your video I got past the initial room of the first mission (though it took more tries than I’d like to admit to get on that metal pallet) because after climbing onto the fence wall I tried jumping onto a bunch of different pipes or lamps before deciding I was stuck. I’m trying to figure it all out in my own but using your video resource when I can’t makes me feel better. I got through the whole rest of the mission on my own experience, which made me feel pretty cool ngl- Buuut, I keep getting spotted and someone keeps dying when I have to blow the exit. I finally went back to your video and we’d seemingly done the exact same thing (creep along the pipes, place the charge when the nearest guard starts his route to his furthest patrol position, hide in the dog kennel). You even mentioned that that part sucks, and I wanna know if it’s because there’s RNG at play for someone dying or catching sight of you? I’m asking because I’ve finished the mission twice now with basically the same result. Previously I’ve always knocked the two guards in the room out and made sure they were safely out of the way so I was unseen and there were no casualties… so I’m not at all used to the variable of them being conscious lol. I’m also on normal difficulty and that makes me have so much respect for your achievements. I just can’t tell if I need to improve my timing or if it’s the hands of the RNG gods. Thanks, and again, majorly cool video!
Hey, brother. Apologies about the late reply, enjoyed a bit of a break. But to answer your question, the reason it sucks is because the timing is very tight. If you blow the bomb too late, he'll spot you, and too early and he'll die, or vice versa maybe... It has been so long now. I recommend checking out MFPatr1ck's nihilist run where he provides some insightful commentary on it. Dunno how relevant this is now, but best of luck with your run!
Oh!! Thank you for responding! I hope you’re having a good break. I took a pause on my run because I was afraid of getting no change in results. I’ll give it another go after checking out what you recommended! Have a good one 👍✨

Indeed. I believe so.
The Outsider offered Corvo those powers and wanted to watch him like a lab rat using them. Then Corvo goes out and does this without any of the magic he was offered has to be the single largest flex in all reality.
Honestly, I think the Outsider would appreciate that more. That means Corvo is very interesting. Even if he doesn’t use it, he’s still Marked
Glad you enjoy, dawg.
Agreed with that if I’m being honest with you
Dude’s been practicing for the past 10 years!
This run really showcases one of my favorite parts of these games, which is how well done the level design is
14:53 Gotta love the AI of Dishonored. How that isn't a detection is beyond me and it's hilarious. XD
NPCs who are in an exchange have lowered detection, this could be a result of that. (I could be completely wrong idk)
yea that was bananas
Genuinely godly.
its just such a power move they didnt have time to process what just happened until he was gone
whenever they are crouch jumping i just imagine corvo comically sneaking like a cartoon villain
I love the detection sting at 1:23:22 when Emily sees you.
Damn girl broke my run at the last second. Smh
@@NatteeeAdmiral havelock noticed you in the very last moment. Damn him.
Just noting it cuz it’s interesting the different ways to nonlethal on this mission while still saving Curnow
corvo casually bunny hopping brings me immense joy
sam: they say shes (granny rags) is nuts!
corvo: *rapid nodding*
She gives great presents nonetheless.
The fact you are still coming around and responding to comments is absolutely awesome! Congrats on the run and it was absolutely amazing to watch it all!!
Thanks, dawg, glad you enjoyed it.
the way my heart dropped at 1:21:15 😭
I'm sure there's no more heart in the weapon selector after this point
@@maxengioCorvo lost the Empress (again)
The autonomy this game gives you really makes this. The bunny-hopping, the swinging around the chain while speakers blare on about Corvo's escape. Just lovely. I recently got into Dishonored and as a stealth-obsessed player, this video was a joy to watch.
The jumping around in the prison with the bottle left me so anticipating. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
damn, if Corvo was like this lore wise he'd be in the hall of fame of video game assassins right next to Agent 47 himself
This run is insane there was so many moments i was like “how tf did he not get spotted” and i thought i was good at stealth in Dishonoured 1 you truly are the ghost of dunwall great run man
Dude, I don't think anyone (developers included) thought the game could be beaten this way. Congratulations on this run, that was AMAZING.
Thanks, dawg. Appreciate it.
There's no single way to play the game though, it literally encourages you to play your own way lol
@@HushtheMagyeah its a sandbox playstyle. But that doesnt mean the developers thought sonething like this run would be possible.
@@mattimeikalainen6963 so they know how everyone on the world plays it? Lol just because you and the original comment poster plays Dishonored conservatively doesn't mean we all do.
"Could someone beat this without using a majority of these mechanics we put into it"
Seeing Samuel each time still brings a smile to my face, what a great guy.
Good lad.
Prenatual is definitely an OG, that's for sure.
What I appreciate is he takes the time to stop and stare at some of the finer curves of the game :)
We gotta appreciate the assets of this game.
@@Natteeesome more than others(28:05)
First of all... You were detected by Samuel literally every mission. So much for no detections. I mean you walked right up to him and said hello.
Also i really wished dishonored had a 3rd person cam you could watch after a run. It would be hilarious to see the serious and deadly lord protector hopping everywhere.
The reason there are no detections is that no one will admit to seeing Corvo. "Did you just see a guy carying a body bunny hop past us?"... "Are you getting sick man? Do you have a fever? Is it the plague?" 😅 "No! I guess I'm just tired."
I should have killed him in the final mission when I had the chance, smh.
At first I thought this run used glitches but without glitches, no power ups, and hard difficulty is just boss move, keep it up man, really awesome run.
Thanks, man!
“These hands are rated C for Certain Very Specific People.”
No Powers, No Knockouts, No Kills, No Detections and definitely no door left open.
Latter is the most important, naturally.
28:11 i can assure the viewers that this scene is of utmost priority and essential to the plot
This is true. Highly advanced and classified strategy reserved ONLY for the most ELITE of ghosts.
I'm fcking wheezing XD
No, first of all - a wonderful run. I tip my hat and express my honest fascination by the run, a masterpiece by the definition.
A literal "We have no idea why things've changed, Corvo, and we doubt you had any part to play in that, you lazy bum" playthrough :D
However
The way you traverse the streets of Dunwall... I just lost it XD XD
Corvo Toadttano
The froghost of Dunwall :D
The guards and Daud’s assassins: “How is it possible that nobody saw or even heard him!?”
Them: “Sir, we believe that Corvo was bunny hopping.
He's doing it sideways.
Styx: Master of Shadows may interest you
Man I forgot all about thief! I shoulda play that again since I have an actual understanding of stealth now lol
@@Natteee ADMIN!
@@NatteeePHOONNNNN
Whenever you do that bunny hop, I’m just imagining Corvo doing that cartoon villain tip-toe sneak
laughed out loud every time you were messing up a jump and did the little camera shake of rage
The way Corvo casually and excitedly jumps behind guards is hilarious....
Now I just need a dishonored 2 stealth. This man is a legend-
After the DLCs, my friend.
I love how all the "merciful" option are just as if not MORE cruel than killing them outright.
With all that bunny hopping Corvo is doing I'm surprised Corvo and Jesamine don't have more kids. Excellent video, you are the true ghost of Dunwall.
The instant you climbed onto that speaker I just kinda stared, mouth hanging open, in complete shock.
I am beyond speechless, barely started watching and can tell from the initial jump to the siren to the bridge was going to be a nasty gameplay, Excellent gameplay.
Great video ngl the sheer patience it takes to do that type of run is insane when you consider how many failed attempts this mans prob went through
Oh yes...
Mah man, my deepest respects! You made me fall in love with the ridiculousness and beauty of this game. Glad I found your vid!
Hey, man. Glad to hear. Appreciate the kinds words, thank you!
Thanks for showing up to my front page and great run, young Natteee. I will watch your career with great interest. Can't wait to see what kind of tricks you have up on your sleeves for other games, have a good summer. :)
I love how emotive you are with your head movements. You have truly become one with the game
Haha, yeah. I enjoy being authentic and expressive in my runs. Think it adds more personality and character than just robotic gameplay.
I’m imagining each hop is a really big cartoony sneaky step
I imagine the people like that guard at 12:17 actually DO see Corvo, but out of absolutely sheer *dread,* PRETEND to not see him. Like imagine you're at work, bored on just another stupid day for another stupid wage, hours into your monotonous shift and BAM. Paralysis demon right in front of you. No sound, no warning, nothing. It's just there now. Waiting. Motionless, breathless. like a jpeg on your vision.
Yeah... I can't say I'd feel particularly compelled to check out the threat. Just be on my way and talk about good old whiskey and cigars.
the amount of things you did that i would’ve never geussed you could’ve done. well done
It's a game full of hidden gems for sure.
Lmao this is amazing. I love that there's no commentary, yet there's so much personality-
And the fact that you close all the doors is amazing.
Bro, you going back in the room just to stare at their asses had me rolling
I had to do it. Crucial strat, trust me, mate.
@@Natteee lol
Fantastic video, thank you. Love the charm you put into the way you play; the occasional text commentary is also appreciated!
The misses of Parkour and the frustrated little wiggles of the camera. That got me chuckling. I felt that.
I think the funniest part about this series is that this is technically how infiltrations are done when SpecOps wants no one but the target dead. At least the getting past everyone when it feels safe bit
-He won’t pass me sir
*Immediately passes him *
I can't help but think of someone cartoonishly tip-toeing every time he does that jump walk thing
Ugh fine I'll play dishonored again. Haha this was so incredibly cool, Dishonored 1 was one of the first games i ever played on my first console. Thank you for the impressive and entertaining video!

This video is awesome. I'm going to subscribe and I look forward to the future content you will be making. I really appreciate that it is a content first video, no unnecessary voiceovers or rule explanations or blah blah blah. Straight to the point, and brutally efficient. Great video
Thanks, man. Yeah, never been much of a fan of fluff myself.
There is an idea of Corvo Attano, some sort of abstraction. But he is simply not there.
Corvo has to return some videotapes.
You deserve a hundred thousand subs for this, Outrageously impressive
Thanks, homie. Glad you enjoyed it.
I've played this game through for around 15-20 times, but some of the paths you took kinda stupefied me. Damn, you're good!
Also, 58:07 - the guard just didn't notice a masked stranger with a cup jumping around almost in front of him

Absolutely hilarious with bunny hopping and following right behind the guards. Truly Corvo is a god of stealth

I love challenge runs, I also loved how fast you were going. Really showed your skill even with abilities lacking. My favorite thing is a recognize what your doing and start wondering “Well how are they gonna do that?” And you show me. Incredible
Just played through the game after playing it with high chaos 1 - 2 years ago managed to get the low chaos ending and always went nonlethal unless it had to be done but honestly it is worth watching the pros cuz it gives me a reason to keep playing
I got through the whole rest of the mission on my own experience, which made me feel pretty cool ngl-
Buuut, I keep getting spotted and someone keeps dying when I have to blow the exit.
