2 Fast 2 Furious Yenko Camaro Throwing Down, Sideways Smoke Show!!!

- It's always a blast shooting with our friend John cause he's a true enthusiast and loves to drive hard! He was on the Netflix show Hyperdrive proving that he can drift accurately and build a car that works. He's also a hardcore Fast and Furious guy which was what initially got him into cars along with Gone in 60 Seconds. This replica of the Yenko Camaro from 2 Fast 2 Furious is something John has wanted to build for a while and although it's not quite done it's really close and is a badass Camaro so sit back and enjoy the ride..

Love seeing a younger guy get excited about muscle cars. Film John again after he loads in the 427.
Dude! This is why I LOVE your content! Not only do you cover super high end builds, you cover the "builds in progress"! You don't judge them at all, you just appreciate the work in progress! You are truly a enthusiast!
I second that comment! 🤘
As a kid this car stood out the most to me in the movie. Little did I know then how rare and great of a story yenko have
Love how it played out in the movie
Still wondering if the yekno can snap a speedo in 4 seconds though
If you loved the Yenko story, look up "Baldwin Motion"--its actually better :)
I did my Yenko Tribute Camaro 28 years ago....actually I was driving it an hour ago sucking $4.50 premium like no tomorrow and Luvin' every minute!!!
That Yenko resto is so sick. Nice job kid.
He did a great job. Still some stuff to be done but pure cool and he can drive it!
I like how he kept it nostalgic
This is really great! That kid oozes ‘COOL’ and could be a movie star in his own right.
He is pure cool for sure!
finally a tribute to the 70's street machine , cragars and nice stance ! that's how i like my cars and how my Charger sits!
Put a big smile on my face !! I come from the late 70s early 80 s era of hot rodding with my older brother and cousin being some of the biggest nuts behind the wheel of the chevelle and nova witch the still own.. i have a 64 malibu 327 4sp thats been the same since 83... its all you really need to have fun ... we didnt have all the options and money for whats out there today but im glad the industry has really taken off in the last ten or fifteen years... i hope it continues.
God bless good old hot rodding !!!
I hope it continues too and guys like John give me lots of hope that it’s just getting stronger
@@AutotopiaLA my brothers name is John Too lol... great show 👍
Legendary car, legendary movie🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes and yes 👊
This kid and Tomy Drissi are the only two that mad me smile. Real drivers
So it doesn't take 1000 hp and 500k to have fun after all hahaha well done!
I love the raw visceral experience or super plush. But no matter what it is, you should always look forward to getting in it and going for a drive. Great video. Thank you
I'm lost for words John know what he's doing building this YENKO BITCHIN CAMARO ❤
I have tons of fun in my fully built M5 Wagon, you don't need tons of money.
I paid 5k for the car - less than 100k Miles at the beginning of covid. Started at 220hp, it's now pushing 400+
People don't expect a wagon to float by them at 150mph. Total cost was a little less than 9k.
Ok,brother, the entire video is top-notch. But my big takeaway is the joy I get from watching the next generation love all the things about these old classic muscle cars. It is the excitement of how these cars can touch your soul and bring you back to how pure life can be. God bless you all, and have a great weekend. 👍
Nice build good to see something still raw
Very raw, unrefined and awesome!
Sean another Killer Car..Simple but Amazing street car..all you need to have an Awesome time!!
Agreed. Just raw driver car
@@AutotopiaLA what up Sean ..Keep up the Good Work!!..Camaro is very similar to my 68 simple but fun 388..150 shot with a tko 600 Hotchkiss suspension 4 wheel.discs and I got a 415 small block waiting to get put in..
@@AutotopiaLA yes like the kid said just start it up and drive..Straight Fun!!
John's a G.O.A.T!! Pure simple pleasure....
He’s awesome!! Known him quite a while now and it’s always fun hanging with him
I remember seeing 2 Fast 2 Furious in the theater. The Yenko Camaro and the Challenger RT blew my teenage mind! Awesome work on the Camaro and awesome work filming this!
That's the only reason I watched the first two movies. After that I gave up. 😁
Was a fun shoot 😎 thanks for having me
Always fun shooting with you John!
Yes, this is our rides. This is the common man. This is what most of us have or are in for. The hundred thousand dollar rides are dreams.
the $60,000 rides or somewhat capable. Thanks for posting this.
Just my speed🤙
Me too!!
I love seeing a young bloke get off on the old school muscle. Just a shell basically and a tough driveline. Great man, just great.
He’s old school all the way. Love seeing the young guys carrying forth the hobby
That intro was freaking awesome, his ride is sick! Thanks for sharing it gents 😁
Good to see young people like John take up and enjoy old American Muscle… we’re not getting any younger and we need someone to take over
I know a bunch of younger guys/girls like John that aren’t letting the hobby die and it makes me happy!
@@AutotopiaLA and people like you keep it popular by posting great content on TH-cam …thank you
Great example of a pure car that is just about having fun and enjoying it for being raw and real.
Those are My favorite movies ✊
People think they’re dumb but I love ‘em and own em all
Now thats a good car.
One id enjoy driving around forever.
Awesome build. That kid has some talent.👍
Another awesome video guys...mad respect to John too!
This is the way.
The best yet, now that is the way to drive a muscle car.
He’s such a great driver!
Awesome!
This guy definitely gives me the Paul Walker vibe
I agree…. Someone needs to cast him in Fast 11 😎
Awesome buddy..... Mind blowing buddy....... childhood memories rekindled🎉🎉👍
Still one of the baddest muscle cars ever created salutes to yenko for making a sick car into a iconic peace of history.
That was a fun video. Great looking clone. I love the unfinished interior. The sounds inside of gutted interior are fun for a gear head.
And even when he finishes the interior it’ll be loud. No plans for sound deadening at all
Love the blue on that car!! Yenko camaro is one of my favs from the series. Gotta watch the movie now!
Love the early Camaro......take your time and you won't be sorry.
yes yes and yes! such a cool no bs car, and ya John is pretty cool as well.....lol
Nothing cooler or that sounds better than old-school muscle, especially a 69 Camaro!
Hell of driver John
Reminds me of my 1970 GTO 455 HO - 3 different colors - barely finished - ran liked a striped ape. Loads of fun.
Awesome!
Great setup with that small block from Blueprint and 6 speed transmission, sure does work. Fun car 👍❤️
Really fun and I can’t wait to see it with that 427 he’s building
Now we’re talking! I love the way he drives that muscle. It felt like 600+hp
These things are good if you keep it bone stock I have driven a 69 myself in 1995 this thing drives a lot better then modern cars
Brilliant opening shot
Our editor K2 killed it on the opening!
Very simple and clear build. If he end the build it will be awsome. Greetings
It won’t get any more refined. Just finishing the interior off but simple old school all the way
Happy premature 30th birthday, John! Stay on the fringe. 🙂
He’s always on the fringe…such a cool guy
@@AutotopiaLA he’s a GenX’er child if I’ve ever seen one! Kudos to his parents. Nailed it
It's simple builds like these that gives a dude who doesn't have the funds for a 6 figure build hope and motivation
Hey Shawn
Love Johns car! So raw & simple. Reminds me of the cars we had in the late 70s . We had very basic no money cars. GTO’s Gtxs Cudas etc
Cool episode
Thx to John for showing
Reminds me of the same thing. With builds getting so refined this type of build is refreshing to me
Also, John knows how to rip it!
Like the old saying goes “ Drive it like you stole it!”
Tuning in from Buffalo, New York. Looking forward to ordering an AutotopiaLA t-shirt.
Awesome!! New merch coming May 5…such a cool new design
@@AutotopiaLA Looking forward to the merch and that's a hot Camaro. I can see myself driving that Camaro along with all the other cars on your channel.
@@TheTheboomwearcompan quite a few I’d love to have in my garage
@@AutotopiaLA I have a AutotopiLA dream garage man and it full. There's to many hot cars on you channel I want them all in my garage. Have a great day AutotopiLA.
Raw American muscle.. simply amazing
🇺🇸💪 all the way!
Hay Shawn he's the California kid, John knows how to drive that yenko. I love it just the way it is, but I can't blame him for wanting to put that 427 in. Iooking forward to the next video with John, also May 5 on new merch, later gator
That guy is a amazing person. Modern day Paul Walker!
Just stop it right now you hooligans! Woohoo! What an awesome video! John's a friggin' nutcase in a good way. The original Gone in 60 Seconds is by far the best! Rock on, fellas.
John’s awesome! Love riding with him and it’s always sideways lol!
Yuge fan of Don Yenko Shawn! I'm glad you had fun. Stay gold..
Great content! I love seeing all the different types of builds you showcase. A young guy into the old school muscle, that is so cool!
I love the sound of that engine!
As soon as I saw that Camaro going sideways I knew that was not a real Yenko. Haha
Nope…but it’s cool and John is a badass driver
@@AutotopiaLA yes! It’s gotta put you at ease riding with a driver that knows how to handle badass car like that.
Damn that is a pretty accurate clone. Looks so good. This guy has some sick cars
NOTHING LIKE A OLDSCHOOL MUSCLE CAR WITH 3 PEDALS!!!!!😊😊
Nothing like it at all
I remember being a kid watching this on the movie 2 fast 2 furious
I wasn’t a kid when it came out but sure felt like it!
It was smoky and the bandit, dukes of hazard, cannonball run,Le Mans ,ect that got me into cars
This kid is a super bad ass old soul....his build is fire! 🔥🤙🏾
He’s such a cool guy and just gets it!
14:33 dudeee, that sound!
I know!!
That was Fun Thanks
Same engine I have in my 68. Also guys am 30 also I think late 80 to early 90 kids probably last generation that care about classic muscle cars. I went to a car show this past weekend the older guys likes to see a young 30yr old with a muscle car.
My favorite video yet! Looked like a blast!!
Awesome and it was a blast! I always love riding and hanging with John. Cool young man that truly gets the hobby
Love to see a car used how it was intended
Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Good old muscle!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great car
I was taking notes! Badass ride, badass dudes, killer driving!
Dude…he’s such a badass driver!! John is pure cool
He even dressed like Paul Walker lol. That's the same outfit Walker was wearing in the opening race with the Skyline
He’s a true F&F guy. It’s what inspired him to become a car guy. He’s just the coolest
One of the best car movie's that got me hooked was eat my dust with Ron Howard very cool movie.
My Favorite Chevrolet Camaro SS
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pure cool…the car and John!
That’s awesome I remember seeing ads for that car when it was black
Love the content on this one. Ol school nevers gets old. 😊
old school love it
All the way!
Love it man awesome car
sweet ride,,i car that is meant to be driven hard and having fun
That was the best 💪😎🇺🇸
He's a cool dude for sure lol
Cool build love it
Badass car and John’s a kick ass driver
Awesome ride, love it! 😊
I’ve always felt that besides the mid-‘60s Corvette, the 1969 Camaro and 1967-68 Mustang have the most stunningly perfect body lines ever ❤
Damn lucky kid. Badass car
Nice kid and a nice ride....a work in progress and a labor of love. Hope to see the finished car soon!
He’s a great young guy and we will definitely reshoot when it’s got the 427 and interior in
Perfect daily driver.
John reminds me of Richard Rawlings! Looks like a younger version of Richard - Cool and loves his cars (respect bruh)
Drift King 🔥
That small block sounds great
Beautiful car!
Awesome video
Love this show and all the muscle cars that are being presented!
Thank you!
That's a proper car. Nice. 👍
Pleasure!🤩🥰🥰🥰
Love the big boy build stuff but more of this please!! 🤙🤙
Fantastic guys I wish the uk 🇬🇧 car scene built cars like this
Lol I can understand this dude’s sentiments toward created cars completely. I have carpet and one door panel in my f-body but a bunch of missing interior panels, no headliner. Also backing a 383 small block with a T56. Don’t like any of the cowls available for my car so it’ll either go hoodless or I’ll cut a hole and maybe put an MD3 reverse hood scoop in front of it. No stereo because who needs a stereo you can’t and don’t want to hear? His junk is nearly 2 decades older than my junk but they’re built very similarly. Like him, I’ll get around to finishing it one day but I’ve got other priorities for it first.
Love this one. Classic old school muscle hot small block, stick shift, interior not quite done yet LOL. It's gonna be crazy with the big block, gotta revisit when it's "done" please. Keep up the good work, love this channel!!!
Thank you and we will definitely reshoot when he gets it done with that 427
That's just Badass!
Awesome car, awesome video!! Thanks again for the great content!
Thanks for watching! Such a cool guy and helluva driver!
I was not expecting that intro, I guess if I owned a Yenko, that would be how I drove it. WOW.
If it was a real Yenko it would probably be covered in dust in a collection never getting driven. Loved how our opening shots turned out!
