I had the pleasure of travelling to Iceland in 2012. My very first impression was stepping off the plane and the quality of air being the most pure air I’ve ever breathed. My second impression was of course, the beauty of the place, and my third was the kindness and richness of the people and culture there. And I’m Canadian. So that carries weight. It’s heaven on earth. And that’s probably why this band is as amazing as they are.

I'm from Germany, but from my mother's side I have Swedish ancestors. Probably because of the Thirty Years' war. I was born with a combination of my dad's surname and my mother's surname "Lundström". It's very sad that after a political reform I lost my Swedish name. Now my mother is learning Swedish and I will maybe do the same. At least some basics.
I'm with you. I don't think you can really understand a culture until you understand it's language. That being said, no, I'm not from Ísland per se, and I'm still learning the language. I was born in the States, but my mother's side of the family immigrated from Ísland after WWI. My grandmother is the only one left in my family that can still speak it fluently, but I'm working on changing that.
I LOVE THIS SONG (i know im in 2018 and it was recorded October 29,2012 ) it was not long ago they recorded this and i love it i try listening to it on roblox (lol) but it only plays like part of it (AND I WANT THE FRICKING WHOLE SONG!) but i still lo but i still love but i still love it :P
