This song changed my life. Dramatic as it seems, but it’s true. I remember travelling to Alberta in the height of winter, sub zero conditions and exploring the mountains all alone, listening to this song and feeling how wonderful life is.
This song means a lot to me as well. I literally just made this realization about it 10 minutes ago but it has a lot of meaning to me about my grandfathers recent passing. Not only that but the band was my first ever favorite band in my life… ❤
This is so good. A true feel-good music. But I really don't get people walking by. Everybody can take a 3 minute break for such a beautiful song performed by lovely people even if you don't know the band.
Probably top 5 live performances.... if only because Italians simply go about their lives, and couldn't care less. Incredible performance, fantastic song too.
I love how they brought peeople into their area... the gathering. I WISH I WAS THERE :") I could imagine people going, where is that lovely music coming from ?!
+nathan hanson Those are awesome. I got invited to the roof top one, and I just thought it was going to be a real concert so i went to work at walgreens instead....one of the biggest regrets of my life :(

If you can live above a cute cafe on a quaint cobblestoned passagio publico in Roma, that'll be la dolce vita enough without caring what happens on the street.
Guys, that’s Rome and it was 2013. We found out their existence in 2011 with Little Talks. People don’t know them, they are still underrated and Italians just know one song. People are pissed because Rome is a big- chaotic- full of tourist city, that man is a local and he maybe he was late to work, that’s why he is pissed in the video.
if only those people knew this band. But most likely only maybe 2 or 3 people seem like they knew. Everyone else probably thought they were just some random band. That would've been a major treat for OMAM fans to just stumble upon them like that
No way anybody knew them. Of Monsters and Men aren't really that known in Italy, aside from Little Talks. Certainly not known enough to be recognized on a random alley.
I just love these guys in every way, I don't know who I like more now, then or the music. Plus I burst out laughing when I realised that the car had been waiting the whole time, although I doubt he had much to complain about after hearing OMAM.
The trumpet is the real hero of this song. I LOVE IT! The best from the 3:00 (esp. after 4:31). The studio version is not so good - the trumpet was replaced by other instruments.
Something truly amazing about this.It restores your faith in people.Just a chance harmony as you walk by.Much better than hearing a brand of politics or reports of a new war.Harmony.As a soldier of no fortune,I appreciate the simpler, more peaceful things in life. Of Monsters and Men-they have been a fav of mine for quite sometime.
Haha. This DOES sound like the Edward Sharpe song! Lol. The ending at least. I love both songs dearly, and never made that connection until you pointed it out. I guess good music is good music :)
I love the songs of Monsters And Men, I like their soft folk rock and it’s even more incredible to watch them performing this amazing track in one of the most beautiful neighborhood of my home town. It seems that they have completely embraced the joyful and vibrant atmosphere of Trastevere. I don’t get at all the anger of the taxi driver, after all it was just a free performance of three minutes.
This video is awesome, during all the video there are the environment noises, even the idle engine sound from the taxi car. I would like to find this great band in my street blocking me! It would be a delight!
I love this channel and hadn’t watched a video from it since Beirut. A cover of this song for a parody video about a Twitch Streamer brought me back. What a weird world.
***** if you don't like it just push the dislike button dude, your comment just like you own france, go fuck yourself if you fell bad when met them live on the spot..
The "La La Laaa"
part got the crowd's attention
sounds awesome
How epic would that be to walk down the street and find monsters of men playing.
devito501 no one had a clue.
Monsters of men?
You mean Of Monsters and Men, I guess
Epic X infinity
My dream, tbh
This song changed my life. Dramatic as it seems, but it’s true. I remember travelling to Alberta in the height of winter, sub zero conditions and exploring the mountains all alone, listening to this song and feeling how wonderful life is.

Its amazing how they write all of this in their second language.
That's normal dude
Normal, they're northern Europeans
@@labradog05 Not HERE. 😳
Not normal for most Americans who unfortunately only speak one language.
@@grahamster5280 I’m American & I speak 2 languages & I still find this impressive. 🤷🏻♂️

It's a testament to how modern society doesn't even stop to smell the metaphorical roses
it's the reality of life, if you take a second, you may appreciate it.
I dont know why......but this song is making me tell myself to drop everything and go out on an adventure. It's a weird yet liberating feeling
Did you do it yet?
Of Monsters and Men will always be one of my favorite bands, they're just friggin' genius! There are no words. Pure brilliance!
That nice.. Where are you from?
agree
Probably top 5 live performances.... if only because Italians simply go about their lives, and couldn't care less. Incredible performance, fantastic song too.
how could anyone talk crap about this band..they are so talented, can't wait to hear new stuff from you guys
I love how they brought peeople into their area... the gathering. I WISH I WAS THERE :")

+Alex Nguyen How funny Alex...I just watched this too! Have you checked out the Lumineers videos from this series?

thumbs for the Brazilian Flag on the door.

Yes TH-cam. I do want to whatch a five years old video of monsters and men

Dirty Paws - Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Jumping up and down the floor
My head, is an animal
And once there was an animal
It had a son that mowed the lawn
The son was an okay guy
They had a pet dragonfly
The dragonfly it ran away
But it came back with a story to say
[Verse 2]
Her dirty paws and furry coat
She ran down the forest slope
The forest of talking trees
They used to sing about the birds and the bees
The bees had declared a war
The sky wasn't big enough for them all
The birds they got help from below
From dirty paws and the creatures of snow
[Verse 3]
And for a while things were cold
They were scared down in their holes
The forest that once was green
Was colored black by those killing machines
But she and her furry friends
Took down the queen bee and her men
And that's how the story goes
The story of those beast with those four dirty paws
Alfredo Manjarrez thanks so much
thank you, now we can sing along here ❤️
of monsters and men. I love this band so much. I wish I could watch them live concert someday. They're amazing. Love their songs.
I'm seeing them in Glastonbury in June! I can't wait!
why this does not happen on my street?

Jokes on you sono una loro grande fan e ascolto le loro canzoni praticamente ogni giorno haha
Never gets old. How is the sound so good?
People who have never been uplifted are now uplifted. Wonderful.
Lovely.
I've watched this over 20 times. The production value is perfect on this.
An applause for the cab driver that didn´t honk and wait for the music to ends :)
marcoferher but the passenger was angry así hell 😂😂
Sí sí. Vaya cabreo haha
Pedazo de canción y de banda!!
He honked at the beginning... : ( 1:34
@@jamesdelahunty2968 it was the other car, not the taxi

This band is one of the many reasons I love Iceland 💙
I am japanese. I love this song. This song makes me happy!
+t kaito wish they come to japan! and perform in shibuya sta. that would be cool to see them relax people there.
I love the dog barking/growling at the end as if it's offended that they are singing about his dirty paws lol
I love the fact that like no one really takes time to listen to them at first, but by the time they finish, so many people have stopped to listen
I just love these guys in every way, I don't know who I like more now, then or the music. Plus I burst out laughing when I realised that the car had been waiting the whole time, although I doubt he had much to complain about after hearing OMAM.
I'm an italian guy, and I can't believe that there were such few people around them, unfortunately in italy they are not so famous! Love Them!!!!
So good even the dog was barking.
Glad I got to hear this. Sad I had to find it... TH-cam. Hear my cry for older but better music.
TH-cam hear our cry!!
I love most performances from La Blogotheque, but this I think was the only one that actually made me feel like I was there. Great work :)
this is sooo raw that even a dog barks from behind.... and that's how good these people are
The trumpet is the real hero of this song. I LOVE IT!

This is my favorite version of the song. Even dirty paws expressed her appreciation at the end of the song.
Ótima banda, músicas com excelente vocal e instrumentais, abraços do Brasil.
Im in love with this take away show series. Some of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. They always pick locations with great acoustics.
Is it just me, or does anyone else love it when they say HEY?
its the best part of all of their songs
It's been a ten years and we still saying "Heey"
"Hey" @rocketmailmillonelytworoad
I prefer the "la la la' bit, and then the "hey" x
I love this song. Probably my favorite OMAM song of all time.

blew me away watching the people walk by, what an opportunity they missed, i wish i was walking the streets that day, this band is massive.
This song makes me cry, reminds me of alot of memories:'(
***** Their username is 'Small Girly'.
That should be a somewhat sufficient explanation.
I think one simple word recaps this video. Legendary.
the trapped taxi driver just spent the best 4-minute stop
They speak the language of music which is a beautiful sound!
AHHH HOME YES WE ARE HOME, HOME IS WHEREVER THERE IS YOUUUUUU
Haha. This DOES sound like the Edward Sharpe song! Lol. The ending at least. I love both songs dearly, and never made that connection until you pointed it out. I guess good music is good music :)
+JC Cole I think the same))
As an Italian, I m thankful you guys picked Rome for this beautiful song, you rock! Grazie :))
someone knows what music they sing on the beggining? sounds real nice!
mugison- pathetic anthem :>
So cute! I love Nanna's laugh at the end of the video.
the taxi waited for 5 mins lol
+limz777 I would have waited for 100.
and the angry guy at 3:33 was the passenger i think hahah
and the adorable cute girl at 04:44..
Caio Augusto dos Santos Alves that makes sense actually, never thought of that. Was wondering what he was annoyed about.
Jodi Gilar isn't she adorable. Very typical of the Italian/Spanish women that come to visit here in Ireland every summer.
These humble bards came from the Middle Age to make our world happier place with their Ballads.
The rhythm was a bit remind me of "home is whenever i'm with you" from edward sharpe but with a bit slower tempo
Yeah the guitar is very similar in both songs. If you look, there are plenty of good mashups between the two songs.
That's a great song
Aditya Diveranta omg. So true.
Exact same melody
There is actually a cover done of both home and dirty paws and it goes together so well!
Amazing! And the dog really enjoyed it too!
Still come to this video in 2015 to watch because its so freaking amazing!!!! I will continue to watch in 2016 and so on.
2017 too?

Don't cry! It is an awesome song. The entire album is. Such a beautiful band.
Great band.. Great video.. Great sound.. Thanks again La Blogothéque
Com aquela bandeirinha do Brasil na porta ficou ainda mais top 😁👍👍
I always liked this band and what ive heard on the radio...but this stripped down stuff is amazing..im in love with their sound
Eles foram encontrar a própria melodia, quando a melodia já estava na harmonia da própria atração da existência dos envolvidos desse momento ✨🖤
Mad props to the audio engineer, stellar quality.
That Taxi driver was probably like "we WILL wait, we WILL listen!" 😁🎶

My favorite song. Can't get this song out of my head, and honestly, I don't want too.
when he said “1..2..3” then the trumpet started playing...had me some sort a way
Right there with you!! Thats why i love music
Argghh! The anticipation of waiting for Ragga to play her trumpet!
Is this part of a movie or something? I mean how come people just pass by ignoring them?
not everyone knows greatness when they see/hear it :p lol, but really it's not like everyone is going to know one band, plus people got places to be
And I don't expect them to...but hearing the beautiful song...id go crazy over this!
But yeah I know...I was a bit exaggerating :D
And the driver gets in at 4:28...How tolerant people out there are (y)...
YanKickOn nope the furious man after killing machine lyric passed ,he can't do it anymore and walk by himself
Cause they are italian
Man how lucky to see this in person!
