Most singers don't have what it takes to sound good while on stage live, when in their recordings they sound amazing. This band has mastered singing, live and recorded.

I am 60 and got put on to this tune from a musical partners daughter. We now sing it as a duo ( me and her), and I love this song. This live version crushes the studio version to me. Seems more authentic.
Imagine if I was 25 (1987) thinking of a band at that time and that there would never be as good as then, poof 35 years later I hear this and it is awesome.

Love Bruce Cockburn, but he can be a bit pretentious in concert. I saw him mid 2005ish, and was quite disappointed. He was playing just for him and not for us. I cover some of his music as a busker and love it but that concert put me off paying to see him.
If we are going to go all Canadian then might i suggest: Tragically Hip, Blue Rodeo, Red Rider, of course Triumph, April Wine, heck even Lover Boy LOL

I am still in shock as I watch this video. I was invited to this extremely intimate concert in LA on June 5th. It was the most amazing experience in my life. Every time I watch this it gives me chills. Seeing myself in the very small crowd with one of my all time favorite bands is such an unreal feeling. I feel very blessed :)

Alright, I just got back from seeing these guys live, and it was SO FREAKING AMAZING! I think they had an equally good time as their audience did, judging by how much they were dancing around the stage, and Nanna even ran through the seating area for the audience giving out high-fives. The whole thing was just so much fun.
I am just so glad they sang this song at the concert. Not only is it my favorite song done by them, but it's my favorite song ever.
I really hope some day I will get to see you perform live. You are awesome!!

I think that this band sounds better live than in pre-recorded videos. They have a powerful stage presence. Their mini-concert video at the Lowlands music festival in the Netherlands is one of my favorite music videos on TH-cam.

Your voice is georgous but when it gets higher it sounds more poetic and makes a sweeter contrast between your voice and Ragnar's voice..

Alexia Past She used to when they were on their first tour but people criticized her because she didn't sound like the record version and sometimes she couldn't handle the highest notes in this song so she fixed it.
+Aelys Deneb Because of the higher notes. She has to say the higher notes instead of singing them. If you hear the other version live. She struggles at the start.
she has no struggles, she just chooses to sing this way...the previous singing style is staccato not lacking the ability to sing high notes, look at really old videos from 2010-11. nanna is an extremely versatile singer who just keeps switching things up
