This exact thing happened to me, I was walking through balmaha, a small village near Loch Lomond, Scotland and they were playing a little acoustic version of mountain sound, was fantastic

Most bands/artists aren't as good live as they are recorded. Of Monsters and Men are an exception to that rule. Never have I seen artists outside of their studios and recording rooms make music that sounds just as good live as it does on albums.

There are literally countless bands that are just as good if not better live than they are in studio. You just aren't looking in the right places.

This "performance" of Mountain Sound is simply awesome! Absolutely love the playing of the drummer on this one -- getting a variety of sounds out of the plastic 55-gallon drum was amazing! But they were all amazing!
The trumpet playing makes me super happy cause she's so good (It's very difficult to play that quietly.)

I've seen them live in 2012 and that girl with the trumpet was the most fun musician I have ever seen before and after that. She was just pure joy and I will forever be bitter about the fact that she not only isn't even part of the band but that the next time I've seen them she was nowhere around.

A few generations ago. I would be looking behind occasionally, at this group. As they came ashore and I was running up a mountain to get away from them. Now they are touring the world singing.

Not sure if I am regarded as/considered a young buck or old head at 32 yrs old, either way, when I first heard "Little Talks" while incarcerated in 2011, I was a child reborn but endowed with the wisdom of an ancient elder. I felt so privileged, fortunate, even lucky to be alive & able to experience & enjoy the music that OMAM create as brand new to me

I got to see them at sasquatch this year and holy shit did they blow my mind. So amazing live, I urge anyone to see them if the opportunity arises.

I have suddenly starting listening to Indie music lately and had a realization that I have always loved these types of music, in fact it always seems to uplift my spirit when I'm feeling down.
I became a instant fan of Of Monster and Man, I feel like their music and voice just captures my spirit that has been longing for freedom for so long... It feels like my spirit just wants to come out and just be in it's former form once and for all...
