    People saying they can’t justify that price on a cam, let’s say u got intake headers exhaust with a tune, you’d be around 430-440, and this came alone brought u up to 520+ bruh, that’s money well worth it in my book, that motor is a 600hp NA monster.

      Camshafts are the new heads mod! It used to be power was restricted by manufactures at the heads and so buying heads was just a massive performance gain...now that mechanicle bottle neck is the camshaft..if you want to mod your daily driver skip the exhaust, skip the port and polish skip the cold air intake and put hour nickles into that camshaft and tune...after that you can start doing bolt on stuff..but that camshaft is the bottleneck you got to replace to unlock all that performace in a modern car..

    Any guys that do decide to do a cam please go to 3/8 pushrods, Manton rocker shafts, and Stanke collars and braces. These items will help you stabilize your valve train and rev on up to 7500 or so if the cam is big enough to do it. We've got to rev these motors guys if we are ever going to compete with the LS or new LT engines. Port the heads run a big cam that pulls hard to 7300+. Bad ass torque converter and these cars should run some good times

    • @blackericdenice
      @blackericdenice 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      I checked your channel to see if you had any videos of you working on cars. I'm not surprised you don't. A 6.4 does not need to turn up to 7500 to make more hp. If a stock Mustang 5.0 can make 460 hp @ 6500. A 392 should be able to make 580 @ the same speed.

    It is a lot of money for not a lot of gain. You have to tear the engine almost completely down to do a cam on the 392. At that point with the investment of going that far you should replace the pistons and rods so you can pro-charge it in the future and get some real hp out of it. You won't want a Hellcat anymore...

    • @1320_ikimasho
      @1320_ikimasho 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You can do that, but the Hellcat has more of a ceiling to work with because of the transmission. If you want a cam swap done, it makes more sense to combine it with headers because overall it will be cheaper, instead of taking the car in twice, etc. Also, the cost of _everything_ has gone up, and this kind of work is expensive regardless of make, model or platform.

      The scats can make demon power if built properly. That's really when dollar for dollar, it becomes worth it. I've seen a few twin turbo 426 short blocks pushing 1000+whp.

      Nah can’t you’d have to basically rebuild the whole motor to super charge it , but no cap 500 - 550 NA power is really good , that’s almost hellcat power , a stock hellcat is 600 to the wheel

      A lot of folks get confused by dyno numbers . NA and boost is different power delivery. The (stock) Hellcat power kicks in much later in the RPM. An NA 392 car kicks in the power early. This is why if you watch a drag race the Hellcat will start to pull away after the 1/8 mile mark. I've had both cars.
