Managing my expectations and thoughts really helps me to reduce stress. I rely on this the most because it is the root cause of stress. I used this method when I was in college and I notice I didn't feel as much worry or stress in class. I was worried about being a bad student for not meeting expectations, but not anymore. Other that that, I exercise, eat right, do less tasks, meditate and remind myself that life is an experience to be lived, not an expectation to be met.
Thank you for this well-presented TH-cam video on stress management! Simple Daily Habits to Reduce Stress & Anxiety. One thing that I had fun recently was having a two-night trip in Eastern Oregon. I had some fun up in the mountains. Now that I am back home, I sort of feel a little depressed now and intrusive thoughts are entering my mind. Being out in nature was very therapeutic and I miss that scenery. In the meantime, I will now have to work on my stress with mind management writing in my journal, exercise and mediation. A couple others I would include for stress management is listening to music. Yes, you mentioned dancing, but even just listening to music and it can be soft music is very therapeutic. Also, reading can help reduce stress too - be it a fictional story or non-fictional books like self-help or tutorial books on hobbies or other books of interest. Here are my notes: *50% of Americans say they will never be stress free again and they are stressing over these 4 things: 1.General health 2.The amount of money they make. 3.Job or some aspect of their job 4.Sleep Eustress: A positive form of stress having a beneficial effect on health, motivation, performance and emotional well-being. (Merriam-Webster) *Stress can also help us to motivate us to get out of dangerous situations. *Need to decrease the overwhelming and uncomfortable stress. What we can do: *To Increase your compacity for handling life by decreasing everything that you are committing to. (Do less, commit less) Functioning can also create stress (Procrastinating) Commit to more. *Over functioning, under functioning and those experiencing depression. *Get out in nature. (Go for a hike or camping) *Movement (Energy in stress is stored in the body) You want to be able to move the stress out of the body. (Exercise - walking, jogging, running, weightlifting, and dancing…etc…) *Meditation: Use guided meditation and/or prayer. *Breathing deeply. *Nourishment. (Eat healthier, drink water) *Relationships, Connections & Emotional intimacy (Good conversations with friends) *Fun (Hobbies or interests) *Boundaries (Setting boundaries are relationship preservers) *Manage your mind (Journal and use therapeutic tools) *Working on being intentional with your choices daily (Is this choice healthy or serving to my well-being? What is in my best interests? What is in alignment with my core values?) *Fellow viewers, if you get a comment form someone claiming to be Julia saying, "You won" just report it. The ways I alleviate stress is coffee, having enough time to wind down, some amount of routine and prayer etc. Preventing stress is about finding a way to say those difficult no's if I need to. thank you Julia! great video :) will use some of those tips
@@Marekcatholic I have a coffee early in the morning if I feel the need for one. It is a good pick me up. Herbal tea would be in the evening after dinner to wind down if need be.

Hi JK Always wisdom from your awesome videos ... Thanks ! My favorite technique to deal with stress is to slow down and be curious about why this state of stress and ask myself; What am I doing right and wrong?!
I think that overall it is not possible to live a completely stress-free live. As you are correctly stating, "EU-stress" is indeed necessary in order to get moving and achieve necessary and desired results. The same goes for dangerous situations: these are normally not part of normal everyday life. Depression, in its worst form, I believe, is a shutting-down of a person's life-force. It is not always related to circumstances in an individual's current life. Of course when bad things happen, it is normal to feel in the dumps for a period of time, which can be very long, but eventually the mind, body and emotions recover.
Hi Julia I just heard a monk in Thailand talking about his habits he went I focus on death I said hell no I want to focus on life and be grateful to be alive, yes I stress about my future the fact that I don't have a health insurance anymore I get scared now of getting sick I stopped cannabis I eat healthy but I am still smocking tobacco and iam stressing anyway I just want to do my best pray God live decently I a'rezdy suffer from panic attacks I avoid stressful situations screamers I avoid listening to Tony Robbins Mel Robbins all these screamers influencers they scare me sometimes it is the tone of voice that scares me
Suppressing feelings can stress you out. It's better to let go of the burden by expressing all the things that are on your mind to the closest person or psychologist. Believe me, after all the complaints have been removed, you will definitely feel much better😉😉

Wouldn't coffee make you more stressed out, though? Try Herbal try instead, perhaps?
@@antonboludo8886 Not me. Herbal tea instead of coffee? Not a chance.
