Hey TJ, just watching this video back after fishing more shoreline breaks this early ice season. Thanks for the tip, absolutely crushed them! More of an inside turn guy myself but it was nice to target some new structure. Sitting off the weedline where it breaks flat to 15 feet was dynamite for me 🧨
These videos are very helpful, I don’t have a lot of time to scout and move around with 4 kids so any video that helps me narrow down we’re to go is extremely helpful. Thanks for the great tips!
Inside turns have been on of my favorites since I was young! I remember fishing structure on LOW and my dad would always point those out to me on the handheld GPS!
We would love more info videos. One thing I would love is artificial only ice fishing specifically for Pike. Something not done often but can be done effectively
@@tjsguideservice , Not on Simcoe , but on smaller lakes we use Vibratos , spoons and puppet minnow, lipless baits like duo realis G-fix. They respond well to vibrations. On Simcoe , Whitefish,Lakers,Burbot and Perch are the main targets. We have a ton of Gobies and these predators get big munching on gobies. The whitefish are so thick that their head looks like a peanut. I am a no bait/artificial only angler. I dress my lures like the jigging rap , the treble is replaced with a single hook dressed with marabou which pulsates even when the lure is not moving, been a great trigger for panfish when they are -ve

Another great video Tj! Towards the end when you show the water temp overlay, one of the lakes you picked is the lake I grew up on and spend most of my time fishing! Any spots you'd try?! 😂😂
Thanks for the content! I like informative videos. I appreciate knowledge over entertainment. It would be good content to share how you choose your exact location or depth to fish. Also, how you choose daytime spots and nighttime spots. One spot I like is to find a dip in the main weed line and set up right on it. It seems to hold walleyes in the evening. After dark, they’re gone and I can’t seem to figure out where to transition to to find a night bite. Again, thanks for the info!
We’re you looking for the one on sturdy tire specifically? Thanks for the reminder! I’ll add it to the description. Here is the link if that’s the one you’re talking about. th-cam.com/video/0jhhGvDUFRE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=12Z-KOuE-GBYxB3X
In regard to walleyes, shallow water is intimidating. I have a tendency to stay out of the weeds and lean deep over shallow. I do this because shallow water seems like no man’s land like super deep water basins do. I also haven’t had positive experiences fishing it for walleyes. I mostly find panfish and pike. But, consistently finding walleyes in shallow water is something I want to get better at, and seems to be over looked by most. I would love to see more content on this in the future.
Will definitely do more content like this! Here’s a vid from last year fishing shallow weeds. th-cam.com/video/-ia21nybrV0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eXE46OelV7FAhiBB
tj, I see you list the klondike 2 boots. Been think about ordering some can you tellme if they run turn to size? How well do they work when there is a little snow cover on nice clear smooth icem?
I have found them to be fairly true to size. My Yukons were a little tighter to start but we’re about perfect once I worked them in. I just got the Klondikes and they seem to fit about right. I haven’t actually had a chance to use them on the ice, but I am really looking forward to checking them out!
@tjsguideservice I plan to oder some tomorrow on a black Friday special. I think they will be wonderful not having to take off cleats all the time thanks so much for the reply. thanks jbillies

How far into winter do you fish 1 and 2?
On some lakes, I will fish them all year! But general rule of thumb for me is things start to slow down come January for those spots
