For real tho… I had the best ice fishing of my life last year. Lack of ice kept the ice castle army away and with less pressure it was really really good.

@adambartusek it was super helpful along with “Expose the ice” I do a lot of solo fishing in upstate NY and have found a lot of success with your guys methods. I don’t use live imagery yet but hope to soon for breaking down my lakes without maps. Keep it coming!!!
If I had the opportunity to fish backwater lakes, that is probably where I would focus majority of my efforts for a slob. Feel like those bodies of water are more inclined to have more volatile size diversity. If that makes sense? My experience, one moment I catch a 5 inch crappie -the next a 15... But still, an 18" class fish? How do you even target that? You just go fishing -as much as possible. I personally cant seem to get on to push 15/16. Very difficult! Good luck!

Never went out last year didnt want to drown. Buddy ofmine was out said it was really sketchy even in feb faribault area
