    In the directions it says you are supposed to put each slot into the "Low" mode for batteries under 750mah (e.g. AAA, 10440 and 16340 batteries). To extend battery life. You do this by selecting the slot or slots you want to use in LOW mode, to do this you hold down the "Mode" button for ONE second. It will then have the word "Low" on the display. Now you have to do this for each slot. Holding the mode button down another second takes the chosen slot out of low mode. Also, if you are going to charge a liFePO4 battery, after you insert the battery and it has a couple of seconds to begin check the battery and begin the charge, you have to select that manually, as it will NOT automatically detect and switch for LiFePO4 batteries. To do so, you have to hold down the mode button for more than TWO seconds and it will display LiFePO4 on the display. Again, you must do this for each slot separately. And to undo that mode, you must hold the mode button down another 2 seconds to go back to normal mode. I hope this helps, as you were not in "Low" mode for the smaller batteries. Check your directions in the manual.Cheers!

    Why on earth would you want to drill holes to mount that? They only make about a thousand different sticky materials for mounting things like this which weigh about an ounce.

    10:47 There's nothing wrong with how it's charging those NiMH batteries. Full charge voltage of a 1.2V NiMH is roughly 1.45-1.5V... just like how the full charge of a 3.7V Li Ion is roughly 4.2V. That's a nice charger, though I just bought a BT-C3400 charger as it has 4 charging banks.

      I was wondering about this as well. Could you explain the reason behind the voltage difference? Is it related to the internal resistance of the battery?

    Sorry for the stupid question, but will this fit a protected button top 18650? I have some measuring 69.5mm long and they don't fit my current cheapo charger. I can't find anywhere the maximum battery length this will accept.

    18650 are 3.7, but charger to 4.2v
    so i wouldn't worry about the AA 1.2v going to 1.5v seems perfectly normal. My energizer charger does state 1.4v though. But at a much higher current.

    I notice your box doesn't have the verification scratch panel on the top. I'd check you don't have a fake. I'm currently in the process of trying to find out if I have a fake too. I have two D2 chargers one with the scratch code and one with out. Nitecore website states chargers should have the scratch panel.

    • @vBDKv
      @vBDKv 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffreycordle6084 500mah charge is actually really slow and you won't damage the batteries at all. My LG HG2 still holds a lot of charge after 3 years of use, and I have never lowered it to 300mah. If you go too low, the charger wont be able to detect the voltage drop in nimh batteries for instance and will overcharge them.
