Didnt come here to judge your beard. Came here for the spin on the chargers and the batteries... and I found a great video which explained it well. Ya sold one over here and thats the meat of the issue.

Great and informative video! I just purchased a 2 slot charger and was wondering what the red light meant. I thought my battery was bad or something.

I would like you - especially you - as the official Nitecore channel to talk more about the technology and why I should upgrade from a D4 or an SC4. Is there even a difference under the hood, other than a lesser display and the USB charging? Thanks.

5:12 exactly, that's why i buy Nightcore. Every year I save 2 cents because my 21700 charger has overcharging protection, and in 900 years I'll have saved enough to buy my kid Ramen.

Will there be versions with LCD display and selectable charge current? Would love to see updated UMS2/4 with USB-C. Micro USB is really a weak point on those as they tend to break off the PCB.

    • @NitecoreStore
      @NitecoreStore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes i Series batteries can be charged in the Ci4/Ci2. However, because of the design of the i series batteries, they are a bit finicky and you have to put them in the slot charger and then kinda "roll + twist" it to get the angle right to make the contacts stick.

Hi, so you can not change the charge rate with these ones? It will just automatically fast charge all batteries that are rated over 1000mah?i am looking for one where i can change the rate as i do not want to fast charge the batteries every time.
I have the sc4 but are looking for a replacement because of the sc4 coil whine ( have to unplug the cord every time after batteries done charging because the coil whine is very significant) does this ci4 also suffer from coil whine?
Usb c type connector seems nice, but the wall outlet needs to be bought separately.. should have been included but thats my opinion. This creates a possibility for people using all types of qualities of wall outlets and probably is not the safest thing if people are charging 4 big batteries with an unknown make wall outlet.

Is there a nitecore charger with discharging ability, to store batteries for a longer period of time?

So as I am using my Ci4, after I put my battery on the charger it starts to blink red steadily, then turns off after about the third blink of the red light. I am confused because this is happening to two of my batteries, one of them being brand new out of the box. I hope my nitecore isn't broken 😅

What is the charging current used for small batteries like 14500 and 16340? The manual suggests the lowest charging current is 1000 mA. My 14500 cell has a recommended charge rate of 250-500 mA. Can you confirm this?

I bought this one ONLY so I can charge my 14500 battery for my Wurkkos TS10. But it doesn't work 😑 I can charge every single battery type with this charger, EXCEPT for the only battery I need to charge...
It says it's compatible with 14500, but nothing happens when I put a 14500 battery in it. 18650, 21700 and every other battery stated in the manual works.

If someone will provide me with ANY types/styles of
rechargable batteries I can discharge , recharge, discharge
and USE for a few hours-at-a-time before needing to recharge again,
with the 30,000-to-50,000 rate-of-cycles our presenter mentions,
I will pay a minimum of $20 for each 'AAA' or 'AA',
$30 for each 'C' and about $45 for 'D' size battery. Regarding
batteries for our flashlights that take Li-ion batteries and
such, we can talk about those later. They just MUST be able
to be charged for this fictatious 30-to-50 THOUSAND times. 🙂
For ME, a full cycle is down to no less than about 20% charge,
then SLOW charge (NEVER fast charge your batteries, people!!!)
up to about 90-to-95% full. FAST charging is a good way to kill
    batteries_ NOT GOOD for them.
NO SUCH CONSUMER BATTERY EXIST. Military ...? I can't say
as I was 'forced' sign a non-disclosure regarding what I was made
    aware of regarding electronics.
Oh! And we are EXTREMLY lucky to get anywhere close to 60%
of whatever the stated amount of recycles are claimed by battery
manufactrurers. It is very difficult to maintain your batteries
between 20% and no more than 90% charge rate. HINT_ using a charger
with a MAINTENANCE setting is the best way to go, if batteries
are not to be used frequently.
