  • Hello nerds!!! Today we are learning all about London Dispersion!
In essence, London Dispersion is the intermolecular force that arrises from the uneven distribution of elections within molecules.
    Important notes:
    -All molecules exhibit london dispersion
-When molecules have an uneven distribution of electrons, that means that for a split moment in time, most electrons have migrated to one side of the molecule. This leaves one side of the molecule as slightly electronegative, and the other side becomes slightly electropositive. The slightly electronegative side of the molecule then becomes attracted to the slightly electropositive side of another molecule that is exhibiting london dispersion. This forms a 'bond' between the two that is very weak and very short lived.
And that's london dispersion!!! I hope you learned everything that you came here to learn. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments and I will try to get back with you!
    Good luck and happy studying!!!

Is this constantly happening or every once in a while

Because electrons are constantly moving it always happening to a certain extent!

To add on, its constantly happening to a certain extend because electrons are always moving in a completely random way. So sometimes its stronger than other times
