Sir I meam why concentration is high and reading is small? Because we know that pH meter give the concentration of H ion. And in acidic medium concentration of ion is more than why reading is small less than 7
High concentrations of hydrogen ions yield a low pH (acidic substances), whereas low levels of hydrogen ions result in a high pH (basic substances). The overall concentration of hydrogen ions is inversely related to its pH and can be measured on the pH scale and If the concentration of acid A is higher, it will dissociate to give more H+ in solution, hence A will have a lower pH.
