What is Hydrogen Bonding | SIMPLE Explanation

Hello Nerds! Today we are learning all about hydrogen bonding.
Hydrogen bonding is an intermolecular force that forms a special type of dipole-dipole attraction when a hydrogen atom bonded to a strongly electronegative atom exists in the vicinity of another electronegative atom with a lone pair of electrons.
A hydrogen bond can only occur in molecules where hydrogen is covalently bonded to Fluorine, Oxygen, or Nitrogen
Hydrogen bonds provide many of the critical, life sustaining properties or water and also stabilizes the structures of proteins and DNA
