Great review Ernest! Was waiting for you to upload a full video review on this board. I agree with the screen on exway's remote, easier if they moved in a bit at the top. 😊
Is this a good first beginner esk8? I owned a onewheel pint sold it, then i bought a onewheel xr. After a few months i sold the onewheel xr, then bought a onewheel pint x. I got bored on a onewheel pint x, then bought an exway wave riot version. I was thinking of buying the exway flex, but i bought the exway wave instead. Nice video by the way.
Thank you for watching! Yes I would say it would be a good beginner board especially at low ride modes. Being a short board, it's very practical, easy to carry around and a good way to learn getting on and off curbs too (with that kicktail). It won't be as comfortable as a flexy long board though, or as safe to ride as a board with big pneumatic wheels.
@@ErnestRamos I was going fast this afternoon on a exway wave. In my opinion this is more fun than a onewheel, and way cheaper. I sold my onewheel pint x for $1,600 dollars, then i bought the exway wave. I’m thinking of buying the exway flex also. I only spent $712.00 dollars on a exway wave after tax and free shipping. I had a good deal.👍🏼 Have you tried the exway flex already?
@@Ntzgt yes, some of the riders in our group ride had Flexes so I was able to briefly try them out. They're pretty comfy and I thought the flex was just right (not too springy and not spongy). Didn't get to ride them long enough to get a real opinion but my first impressions were positive.
The Exway Wave performs great, but in truth it sucks. It costs around $700, but if the battery breaks it costs $350 to replace ($50 for shipping). The warranty is only 6 months, and my battery failed after 11 months. So the real cost of the board after 11 months is over $1k. That puts it in the same price range as the Evolve Stoke. I had an Evolve Stoke and it was stolen. I was trying to save money, so I got the Exway Wave. Knowing what I know now, I regret not just buying another Evolve Stoke. The Stoke is a little longer and heavier, but it's way more stable at high speeds, and is a far better board. Plus the stock wheels are crap and if you want to replace them with softer wheels, that will set you back another $200 for the Cloudwheels. Again, you can get much better wheels and have a choice with the Evolve Stoke, and that's built into the initial price. So overall, you pay more for an inferior board with the Exway Wave.
Ernest. Cereal now? Ernest? Why am I not suprised, well actually I am suprised, because usually the name is more likely to not fit with the person, in my experience at least. Can I ask what happened to skateboarding? I go away a few short years, and now we have board reviews with Ernest? Did Tony Hawk do this to us or what? I have heard the scene is not what it was these days, but am I missing some hilarious joke or what is happening here? Sorry Ernest, nothing personal, but do you maybe have a more layed back, less stuck up, maybe beer drinking or weed smoking brother? With long hair and a name like "Hector" or something along those lines, and does he know you are using his decks? You will not be in trouble, I won`t tell him, but I do need to know...
your fight club style joke you spliced in there got me rollin'
Thanks for watching!
Awesome review! "Having a deadman switch, prevents having a deadman" 🤣 harvested some ernest fresh quotes from this content 😁👊🏻
Hahaha! We're going to end up with a book when we include the group's quotes too at this rate! 🤣
