Hi thanks for your great honest review on Tynee mini 2. We really appreciate it and we hope you didn’t get hurt. Tynee mini and Exway wave are all good mini boards. You won’t go wrong for either of them. And Tynee mini focus more on performance. it’s the most powerful and longest range short board in this industry. And it also use very famous Molicel battery cells. Very good quality and reliable. You will find it’s very powerful and stable at high speed. For other things. We want to keep it simple. The more simple. The most stable. This is Tynee’s product philosophy: practical, simple, good quality, high performance and good price. Hope you and your subscribers will love our product. Thank you!
just brought a tynee mini 1 with big battery. only rode a work mates evolve GT (old one) for a minute years ago. can't wait till my short board comes. these things look like so much more fun than long boards plus the range. win win.
Thanks bro. Looking at the mini 2 for a quick 6 mile commute before and after work. I can charge at work. Speed isn’t really a problem. Just distance. I’m 210 pounds plus my book bag.
@@EboardMY would you recommend the bigger tires? I live in Chicago, por holes / debris in streets. But I will ride this like 50% bike trail and 50% streets. Always been good with my bike. I think the belt drive is not in my options tho. I am getting the getting the battery one though. Unless you think it’s not necessary. Weight. Cost.
10ah battery is definitely one of the largest battery options I've seen on a short board. That being said, some use swappable battery packs which is lighter.
If you can only keep one board after exway flex, what would it be? would it be mini2, wave or x1? I am thinking about a second board but can't decide. Rough road urban environment
Hmm, i think it would be an AT board. I usually ride off roads as well. And the only safe wheels to ride when raining is pnuematic rubber wheels. Ill go for exway atlas.
Unfortunate the Wave's comparison was made during a fall but it pretty much confirmed my choice on the Wave, I like that you have a bit more room on the deck and don't really need to go as fast as the Tynee. Excellent comparison though. Exway - 105's lit up.
Great review and hope you’ve recovered from your fall!! Can you do a comparison with Cloudwheels on the Tynee Mini2 and the Exway Wave? But if not just a review on the Mini2 with Cloudwheels and range test too. That would be really good to know if the ride and handling is much better on the Cloudwheels and your preference especially on your type of roads. In UK, we also have similar roads with lots of bad roads and potholes etc…. Thanks!
Thanks! I’ve recovered now 😁🙌 i personally use cloudwheels on exway wave, its amazing for my kind of road conditions, the one u see in the video. I havent tried it on tynee mini 2 but it should be the same thing. Range wise, u can subtract 10 % of ur range. That will be the range of cloudwheels. Sorry i cant promise a video on it since right now lots of new boards to cover! Thanks for watching!
Cloudwheels is great for rough roads. It helps around 50 % in reducing the road vibrations. Also because it would do better on potholes vs standard wheels. But On smooth roads standard wheels would be more fun.
@@EboardMY I love minis, probably my favourite of all eboards. Once you go over about 288Wh (10S2P 21700) it gets too heavy and kinda defeats the purpose of a mini if carryin it briefly is important. Great to have such long range on the Tynee Mini 2 for those that don't need to carry it much.
In order to commute around campus in US, and maybe to go to supermarkets. Maybe a trip in a day could be 15-20km. Do you think getting the Exway wave is better or Tynee Mini 2. I really like the extra range on Tynee Mini 2, just that it is 1-2kg heavier. I would ask you how important is it to use the kicktail, as I feel that being able to use the kicktail is important but with the Tynee Mini 2, it is seems to be quite ‘impossible’ to use it to go up kerbs
If its convenient for u to bring a charger and charge, i would go for wave riot. But if u cant charge it, 15-20 km is not enough for wave, u gotta go tynee mini 2 with the big battery. The kicktail is usable on tynee mini, just that its heavy and u gotta give more effort. If u compare it to wave’s kicktail then u will feel the wave is much easier.
@@EboardMY I would agree with this. I just bought one of these this summer but after I put the cloud wheels on I'm averaging about 7 and a 1/2 miles in 1 charge. the good news is you can buy an extra battery which I did and you can carry it with you to double your range.
Absolutely love the channel. Fun real world stuff. Just wondering if the battery on the wave is the 180 or 216 as 'm trying to get a real idea of the range on the 180 as that's all they do now but some of the older boards were larger batteries so hard to tell. Thanks.
@@EboardMY thanks for the info. That's just confirmed what I was afraid of and pushes the Wave to the back of the pack. It has some nice features but the low range being cut even further means I have to pay an extra 499 AUD for a proper size battery. which just doesn't stack up cost/Value wise. Really a shame they didn't give people the option to upgrade. 3 hot swap battery packs options would have been great and they could of saved R&D costs for a year as they were offering something new in the market. (which is all people want sometimes) Oh well. Looks like it's a Mini 2 for me then. Cheers for the help and the mad vid.
Hi! I want to buy the Exway Wave, but I've seen many posts on TH-cam and Reddit where users had issue with the brakes locking up at 15-20mph. One person had the battery replaced, but is still experiencing issues. Do you know why this is happening? Has this been resolved? The most recent post I've seen with this issue is from 6 months ago.
Have you tried the Onsra Challenger? the 155mm AT wheels option look interesting. I know it's much more expensive, but that's also a board I'm considering between Wave/Mini2/Challenger.
I havent try it but that looks nice. Its not a mini board actually, its pretty long but short than a longboard if that makes sense 😁 for performance and comfort, definitely onsra challenger takes the win. But its much bigger than wave and mini 2.
@@EboardMY I tried to lessen the belt just a “little “ literally just a little so it’s not too tight . And it started happening. Any chance I could email you a very short video of the sound? you’re an expert and I wanted to see if you could help me out a little bit .
@@EboardMY hey thanks for the reply. Which one is more responsive? I'm coming from a Boosted Board V2 so I'm very used to it's smooth responsive control from remote to ESC. Thanks again :)

It's just kinda sad that Exway doesn't have any big battery options for any of their boards. If you want to run cloudwheels on your mini board then Exway Wave will have basically no range at all since the battery is half the size of the Tynee and the board is still around the same price

I believe its better. More features like lights and the wave have belt drive version that makes it more comfortable to ride on rough roads.
