I have the Wave for 2 years now. Amazing city board. I have 2x 216wh batteries and many times they are not enough. Would love to see Exway release a 300wh battery for it! I would buy 2 :D
I like it and would use it for an in town ride but I like em a bit bigger! I just wouldn’t feel as safe at high speeds, I do think it’s a beautiful package all the way around.👍
Love the exway wave chucked 105 cloud wheels on smooth as even when my daughter falls off her bike and I have to sling her over my shoulder and the nike under my arm 😀 love the vids mate keep up the good work 👏
I think Wave is still one of the best boards. I wish Exway used same design principle for Atlas. Smaller swappable battery for Atlas so you could load batteries to your backpack as many as you need instead of slapping one huge battery between your legs.
Great vid Scott! What are everyone’s opinion on the best mini board? I’m thinking between the Wave and Tynee Mini 2? Anyone have both or just some thoughts before i go ahead and make a purchase? Will use your code Scott not to worry 😉
Yea the Tynee has amazing specs, Just no quick swap battery But its good cells, amazing top speed (for a mini) brake light and very classic shape I have 11US feet so the wider square nose helps
The Wave is my daily, to and from the train in Melbourne CBD it’s just a great board to ride. The hub motors are silky smooth and quiet, haven’t tried the belt drive on it, which one did you prefer Scott? Upgraded to 105mm Orange cloud wheels with Evolve Ceramic pro bearings and yellow nipple bushings for a better feel. Keep on posting mate loving your content and can’t wait to see what Vegas brings for you 😊
Also have the hub motor and clocked about 500kms on mine, not a whole lot since I only ride it maybe only once-twice a week to go to the shops. I recently swapped out to 105mm cloud wheels too but noticed shortly after only one of my wheels would spin once my battery drops under 10%. Are you experiencing the same issues or do you never let your board go below 10% battery?
@@avexdevil I try to avoid dropping under 20% as the battery sag is unbearable. Really takes the joy out of riding when the turbo mode doesn’t kick in hard 😁😁😁 I have noticed that one hub will spin longer than the other in normal operation though. It’s not really noticeable while riding but unloaded you do see it clearly.
Dude I just started doing the same thing in Melbourne with the wave, it is so awesome, I've had it for almost a month now, I was already thinking about changing over to bigger wheels because I have the hub motor version and it can be a bit rough, how much has changing the wheels had for you? And how have you gone with getting it wet? I get it wet a bit on wet roads after rain and then just dry it off with a cloth after I finish riding it and it seems to hold up fine
actually while are on the topic of battery, mine has been playing up and not charging to 100% pretty often. I've fixed it before by draining to below 10% then charging it again, but now that's hit and miss. E.g. yesterday i got it down to 5%, charged it and now it's stuck at 83%.
Hey Scott, what do you think is the best rough terrain wheel for the wave riot? I don't ride as nearly as I'd like as the roads/paths in my area are quite rough and cracky.
@Sam Fox I've had the wave for a couple of years but the vibrations I get through my feet when riding prevents me wanting to go out as much as I'd like. Just curious as to what the best option would be. I know the 105 cloud wheels were recommended a while ago but not sure if there's a better product released since then
@@scottdaviesyoutube how many belts have you gone through? Im upgrading from a teamgee h20 mini, i got 700km on it and battery sag is horrible and one of the wheels is crapping out. Is belt that much better?
@@esk8jaimes I misunderstood mate. Cool to see there’s some real love for hub motor version too (I always seem to just hear positives about the belt version).
Longest intro ever ! 😂 😂 sorry too good not to use

I would also really like a bigger battery. Sadly I only have the 180 Wh one 🥲
Your just confirming that I made the right choice in purchasing mine, its my Bodega board. 👍
Yea they are good boards
Yes that Apollo board is the prettiest esk8 on the market
The blue light is a great touch. Nice board, looks fantastic on the drone shot.
I got number 13 of the Wave NASA, we all know how Apollo 13 went...
😱
2:06 I envy this mate
I’ve started taking the Bart/train to get to work and I think the wave is the best overall product for my needs.
Best mini ever. 🧡

Any chance of trying a wave with the new cloudwheel 110 R Rovers?

Hi Scott when do you do the draw for the Tynee Board in New Zealand and announce the winner?
I think Wave is still one of the best boards. I wish Exway used same design principle for Atlas. Smaller swappable battery for Atlas so you could load batteries to your backpack as many as you need instead of slapping one huge battery between your legs.
They did! The aux pack is swappable so you can have 2 and go like 100miles
@@gilmoregibson9184 no, that's too big. Won't fit to backpack exactly.
Oh yeah, unfortunately I won't be making to ESK8CON this year but I will live the experience through your content when posted.
Hi Scott, i hope u feel good! Could u tell me what a song this is at the end of the video? I like this track very much :)

I thought the batteries have smart storing monitoring, so if you leave it sitting, it drains to 60% to maximize its life
Mate that was an early ride . Great way to start the day. Looking forward to your travels 😀
Great video mate. Such good boards.
Great as always, Scott! Gotta know, though: Why “never Onewheels”? Must be a story there…
Mate I’ve had 3 and all
Three have cut out at low speed at 80%+ battery
Never again. 😂
Exway Wave 2 coming April I think :)
Oooo how do you know? That would be sick
That was sick footage !!!! Wish you would have kept in the mishap though 😂😂😊
Haha man that was too R rated for this channel 👄
⚡🤙🏼 The NASA edition is *easily the best lookin mini* 🤙🏼⚡
Beautiful intro shots!!
"Never Onewheels* 😂
How does the Wave compare to the Ace deck Stella?
Wave feels more traditional but Stella has more, torque,
Speed and range
Early! 😂😂😂😂great vid dude
Must be your morning break over there !!
@@scottdaviesyoutube yep started at 3 🤪
im looking on the website right now
its still available
dont say its not
thats the aus website as well
😂 they have 1 left that wasn’t there yesterday guess someone returned it or cancelled a order
Hey Scott, what do you think is the best rough terrain wheel for the wave riot? I don't ride as nearly as I'd like as the roads/paths in my area are quite rough and cracky.
As a wave owner, I don't recommend rough city roads. However, on smooth road conditions this thing is amazing

Hi mate
The 105s cloudwheels work well, with some additional spacers
I’d also try exways new hydro wheels
@@Adzo92 I’ve had the clouds for the wave as long as I’ve had the board and they don’t make a lot of difference. It’s a very stiff board.
The board looked like is was from the future
There's a last one in stock on the exway aus im gonna buy it lol
Doooooo iiiiiiitttttttt
@@scottdaviesyoutube, bro, I ordered cost 1800; how much did it cost you? I'm gonna do a review video too, after I get the board
@@scottdaviesyoutube I got No.169

I’ve been on the Riot kit, for maybe 4800km

Feels so weird to say that “see you soon”
I'm gutted this didn't use a hub system otherwise I would've bought one!
I have 2 exway waves, 1 hub and 1 belt drive.... They do make a hub version and its great
