- In this episode we use OEM GM Parts to bolt an OBS GM bench seat into our Squarebody dually and modify a van drive by wire throttle assembly to bolt to the firewall in the correct position. We also installed the correct software file on the ECU and went on our first test drive! This one isn't for sale just yet. As always, thanks for watching!

Don’t know what’s more annoying: all the ads being thrown at us or you lowering everything you drive…🫵🏼
Sounds like you need a hug Keith…
All good I lower everything as well
It’s your truck you can do whatever you want with it.
Unless Keith is being tortured by being forced to watch content, 'Clockwork Orange' style, there's a simple solution to his problem...
I been missing a pinned comment this week.....and here it is
Mortske making Monday's bearable! 👍👍
Morske making good Monday morning 🌄
Chin nailed the editing on this one.
Mortske and Lord Duff returning to base in “the golden hour”; a cinematographers most precious and creative light.
Chins creative decision to just let the camera roll with the only sound of Duffs breathing and the tune singing of Mortskes motor. He allowed at least 15 seconds of Mort to silently enjoy the loyalty and dedication of Duff without a word. That’s a tough decision for an editor. Yet, more came through the screen in those 15 seconds of silence with only the light of the golden hour on Duffs fur and Morts expression than hours of exposition.
An editing tool to be used sparingly, but when used in the golden hour with the right elements…it wins awards.
Well Done! Love The Duff!
Best show on youtube thank you Duff and Mortske for all that you do great content as always cheers !!!
It is my opinion that this is an excellent channel to watch
Much appreciated
@@MortskeRepair I look forward to Mortske Monday
Glad to see old Duff got a proper ride this week. Even got to pant level excited!! The project is coming along nicely. A few more instalments and she should be one sweet ride. Thanks for all you do to keep us entertained every Monday!!
I feel like the weather has turned for most of the midwest, except wherever Mortske and Duff live. :) Love that dually.
Being different is what makes you Mortske and we love it! Thank you for another awesome video.
thanks for watching!
Just a man and his best friend, cruising along the highways of this great country!
As someone who isn't typically a fan of lowered style trucks, this one managed to really catch my eye. Nice truck and excited to see where it goes from here!
Glad you liked it!
That jukebox took me back! Playing pool at the Lewisville bar. Drinking pepsi while the old man shot the breeze with the local yokals. Thanks Mortske!
Awesome!
Hey Mortske if you're not a fan of the higher pitch bark coming from that twin exhaust, adding a same sized crossover pipe ('H' pipe) approx 12-18" back from the collector will help deepen the note and make it sound less peaky.
Thanks for the tip
The glass is always half full with you mortske. Always looking on the bright side.
Yes, make a car with stealth controls on the passenger side and take a drive with Duff behind the wheel.
Remington 870, best shotgun EVER devised!!!
Been a full-time gunsmith for 30 years, SOMETIMES Remington didn't put them together right, but best one EVER designed!
The 12 valve Cummins of shotguns.
Right on
Haven’t even clicked on today’s thumbnail, but grateful just seeing Duff Dog brings a smile to my face and putting on my mouse ears anticipating another great episode. You and Duff are doing Gods work. Love the Duff. Thank God for Mortske and Duff Dog; universal ground!
An Illinois truck, you nailed it
That truck stole my heart. There is nothing better than a lowered dually maybe a lowered Semi. But not to many of those around driving everyday. God bless you and duffaluffagus
No doubt!
I am definitely digging the more door content. Keep up the great work.
Hello Mortske & Duff. As all of your faithfull viewers know Duff runs the show. He even has a dedicated Duff Cam. So it is a no Braiiner to this viewer, call the build "DUFFS DUALLY" Keep the videos coming.
Always making Mondays better!!! Truck looking better in each episode. Greetings from PR
Mortske Monday , Like a breath of fresh air on spring day with a pollen count of 50 . Thanks for filling my day with great entertainment . Stuart in Ontario...............
haha
You can use the pedal from a 1994-2000 6.5 diesel. You just have to repin the connector.
Bolts right in and is the same setup as a squarebody.
I feel bad that I forgot to comment on last week's video. Would have saved a good amount of time.
And I just got to the point where you said to do that...
That rug removal scraper is SUPER!
Love the looks of a lowered ( dualie truck 😊 ) Keep the great videos coming.
The grand slam.. it's a famous breakfast at Denies too I guess..
Why yes, duff.... all that laying down on the job was mighty helpful to Daddy... he really needed your help lifting those seats in & out of the truck.....we are all glad your there...
I always thought a size up on the nut would be a good idea on all nuts and bolts, so you only need 1 set of wrenches.
Jesus! 21 min. in and you managed to get the truck on the lift. And Wes was talking about HIS time management?!
✌️❤️
🙈🙉🙊
but we never ran into the wall!
@@MortskeRepair Comment was about TIME MANAGEMENT, (contextually inferring loquacity) not safety.
Mr White
For all you breaking bad fans. I own a Fleetwood bounder a little newer than the year they used in the series. I like the name mr. White for sure.
Great vlog Mortske.
Really liking that truck . Generally not a fan of lowered vehicles.
But the truck really does look the business.
Amongst other news I’ve just acquired a Duff dog .
He’s called Arlo 4 years old . His family were always mad busy with work , so didn’t have time.
So he’s moved house and living with us now .
Mmmm I need a truck .
As I was watching the time-lapse of your carpet extraction, my heart tug made me double-check that I had given you thumbs-up but you had me at "Hey there, boys and girls", it turns out.
Thanks for the videos!
Anyone who said, You ruined that truck cause you lowered it… never took a look at what the OE conversion companies did to ruin these classics when they were NEW!! Holy carpet glue & hacked in sheet metal! You’re doing awesome work Mortske!
Thanks
Thanks Mortske! and this was like a feature length film...even had to get the popcorn! go ahead and just name it "Duff's Double Door Dually"
Thank you Mortske,
I don't know what you did but I was able to hear everything you said. No need to guess at what the rest of your sentences were. solid volume to go with the solid content.
Glad to hear it
Dualin Dalton for possible name? Great song,Great truck,Great Duff Dog,Great Show!
I put power bucket seats from a 93 Suburban into a 85 Suburban with Flex-Steel seat conversion. The 85 did not have the plywood to level the floor, so I had to leave the '93 inner brackets in place and cut down the outer brackets. It wasn't a huge job, the plasma cutter worked well. A whiz wheel would also work to cut down the outer seat riser. A little paint, and it looked completely stock. The back seats in the 85 were captains chairs, which I switched over to benches from the 93. I don't remember having to do any major fabrication to get the rear benches in. Those Flex-Steel seats are HEAVY!
We also used the term footfeed. From my previous trucking days that pedal is also known as the hammer or go-pedal.
My theory on sizing a 7/16 bolt with a 5/8 for the bolt and 11/16 for the nut was to sell more infrequently used wrenches UNLESS you owned a 750 - 860 Massey Ferguson combine. 7/16 bolts were EVERYWHERE on those! The 5/8 and 11/16 also made get-me-by substitutes for a 15 and 16mm.
Keep up the good work!
My Granny and Grandma always called it foot feed lol Great times!
Yup heading south on 283 drove straight into that storm had to stay in Aberdeen and wait it out
Good content!! Thanks
Before I retired, I used to hate Mondays. The end of sleeping til I felt like getting up and drive across town to work feeling like going to bed rather than working. Then, along came Mortske and Puddin' and suddenly, Mondays didn't suck so severely. Now, I look forward to Mondays knowing there will be high-quality videos to keep me smiling and entertained. Well done!! 👍😁
Glad to hear it
I had a 73 ford pickup with the original bench seat still in it! It was in bad shape! Had a buddy that gave me a 95 ford truck bench seat that was in good shape! All that was required for the 95 seat to fit the 73 was changing out the sliding rails! Changed out the sliding rail frame! The 73 frame bolted right in place on the 95! And the measurements were the same because it lined right up back in the 73 truck! I was amazed at the time that this actually worked!
Oh wow!
The "road sodas" comment made me immediately think of our solution....the "Maddox" cup...named after a good friend. Get one of those super-size slurpee or soft drink cups with a top. Dump out the drink, insert an open samich can, surround with ice, and put the cover on with the straw in the can. Total stealth. As always, great vid...
I like Maddox already!
Thanks for taking us for a ride. Seems to run pretty good. Looking forward to seeing the next episode! Looks like Duff really likes the bench seat!
Thanks for watching!
Yeah, I’ll vote for a Mortske Minute on the Nutsert. That seems pretty cool. 👍
Wow I’ve never seen as much snow in my life like you get over there
Thanks for the R.I.D.E! Between the relaxing sound of the pipes, the warm colors of evening, and Chins choice of music, the day just faded away. Looking forward to more!
Glad you enjoyed it
Omgosh!!! Duffers forcing the love in the cab of the truck was SUPER cute!!!!!!!🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Nice showing and explaining the whole seat conversion, nice job!!
❤love to Duffers❤
😁
Speaking of storms we had one roll through here last Wednesday, took out a sub station, then the power surged and set off the hardwire smoke detectors, oh and it's 1 am, thankfully I've got a generator, it's hooked up to the breaker box with an interlock, as borat says very nice
Custom vans were same crap they glued carpet to the floors and walls. Another great video mortske !
Ewww
I had a set of those Atturo tires and got 75000 out of them before I got a new set and never had an issue, they still had tread when I pulled them off!
Sweet!
Wow, just under 2hrs to put a set an petal in. Amazing 🤩🎉. Hope you had a good Easter. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! You too!
Man it was 68 degrees in Flint MI, had to drink water with ice in it no snow going to be 80 dgrees this weekend, another great episode you and Duff make my Monday
Appreciate you having us along, I’m a Huge Fan of that Rig Personally. Very Sweet Ride even though Lowering a Truck is not my Cup of Tea ,I Recon I could make an exception in this Case. Catch you on the next one, Keep it Safe Out There Sir.
Hey, Rub Duff behind the Ear for me, Would Ya?
You bet
A hardtail bike with a tin seat is literally a pain in the erse, I used a friend's on a couple of occasions and I felt as if I had shrunk 3" and I mean because of the back compression not because it was cold out and I had torn jeans on. All the best from Scotland.
Sir Mortske,I had a set of those Atturo tires, nothing but good luck with them, great on ,mud ice, snow and water, good choice sir!!
awesome!
Hey Mortske: The best automotive video on TH-cam... Reminds me of the county rigs here in NE Ohio and its Duffalumpagus approved... From the home of PB Blaster Silicone spray... Cleveland, Ohio...Derek @ VGG is in Tennessee... (Concorde Mountain will melt on June 15th.. Celebrate with a suitcase of sammitches!!!!) Call the dually Maude.......
Turned out to be a nice truck Mortske, looking forward to the gauge install and maybe an exhaust upgrade, thanks for sharing, love the videos as it makes my day just a bit better watching in the morning, thanks Mortske and Duff!
Thanks 👍
Mortske, Watch Wes Work, Rain Man Ray, and South main auto are my favorite car channels. Love the lowered look on this one. The window tint and maybe a little interior sprucing and this will be a good one. Btw love the outtakes.
Glad you like them!
Got that GM feeling! Your definatly on the right track. All my vehicles were white cause it's cooler in summer. Love the Duffer! Idon't think he likes using prop's. He look's like a loving and loyal friend. Because of a disability l haven't driven in 20yrs. I enjoyed the ride to CHIN'S. See you two next time aye. 🍻🍕🚚🌞 really, l enjoyed the ride dude.
Mortske and the Duffmister ridin into the sunset.Priceless!!!
Love the truck. I have a 91 SQRBY DUALLY, same color. I removed the running boards, Switch suspension. Removed the chrome simulator and Powder coated the stock wheels. Like the air compressor setup. Right now have Schrader valve to fill rear helper bags
Very cool!
@33:40 nothing like some good oldies on the radio! I wouldn't mind making a dually square body suburban
I stabbed a set of '04 Grand Am buckets into my '87 Chevy pickup and it was the best mod I've made to it. Only took maybe an hour to make some brackets, and they're way better than the old sunken-in bench for sure!
Great video, I love a bit of fabricobbling, nice work, more progress 👍
Thanks 👍
I run those exact same air compressors in several of my carpet cleaning vans.... Harsh hot and damp environment yet they all have thousands of hours on and still work great.
Good to know!
Love the truck and it is going to be sweet when your done. Since you bagged the truck and everyone loves Duff, I think "The Duffelbagg" would be a good name
Right on
The White knight... The bench seats actually looked good.....You told us not to pay attention but that awesome pickup in the background is definitely a 48 to 54 GM pickup. My guess is a 49 Chevy. Keep up the good work 👍
47
I put a 90 bench seat in my 86, completely took off the box type mounting braces off of the 90s bench seat and put the two piece square body mounting braces on the 90's bench seat.👍🇺🇲😀
So nope, I didn't have to drill holes in the floor pan of my '86, I didn't want to that.
Thanks for the ride!
Awesome Mortske Monday!. Gives me inspiration for a 1981 Dodge D350 I just purchased
lowered crew cab LS. that is different. i dig the sound. thanks for sharing your project. we are lucky that you do. i watch more of your stuff than any others and there is good content out there.
Thanks for watching!
100% agree about the seat and comfort. Cool truck.
"Crewcab " that's an original name. Will be cool cab. Thanks Mortsky
Central California watching
That bolt head size thing... it's just because "that's the way it is." Notice that Duff doesn't let it bother him, or if stuff is blue or black.
I enjoy everything you put out 9n both channels. Thank you !
Mortske Monday with Duff and friends!! Best day of the week
No armrest in front because they used the room for the ones in the Captain seats (conversion vans were the same). Love this build! Talk about an amazing tow pig, darn near perfect.. Glad the running boards and roof rack are going to make the cut. Appreciate the work that goes into this content! Thanks again.. And "Barry White" cause it's so "smooth"..
duff dog likes those seats. snow in April wow. hope you can get around. nice garage.
Finally got me some super scrapers! I'm sold! Gonna get some more and stock up. Thanks for the tip. You rock Brother! Got to get a hoodie now. Love your vids bud!!
Good stuff
Thanks Mortske, great to see you working on this and finally getting it out and going for a R - I - D - E ! Awesome truck!
You bet!
My son started watching you because he wants to learn I started watching you because you are a very good looking man so please keep making videos
His father might not like you saying that!
it looks good! have a blessed week
You were having way too much fun with that Jukebox! 😂
My dad who was from Northern Minnesota used to call the gas pedal the foot feed too.
Just a guy and his dog cruising down the road.. Cool !
Nice job on the seat. Looking forward to the next dually installment. Have a great week!
Thanks, you too!
These things where all the rage in 80s and 90s. Lots of racers here in the Carolinas had the slammed to the ground as there daily
I have that same compressor and an air chuck on my Wife's Sooper Doody. The air chuck is pretty well protected and it STILL gets "gritted" up and has to be freed-up every time I try to use it.
The sliding collar is what gets stuck.
ALSO, it would be easier to access if you hadn't lowered the truck.
Oops, I said it AGAIN!!!
Love the channel, love the crew cab. I am one of those west of 281 ND fellas, so I lift everything I own. But, if I ever find a good condition dually, I might have to do the same. Keep up the excellent work Mortske!
Sorry to hear that!
Its the right amount of beater so you don't feel bad driving it. Nice rig, can't wait to see where you go with it!
To me that truck sounded amazing when you was sitting in your shop and revving it up
Cool truck and yes you should keep on keepin on with it. Good god at all the snow.
That's the plan!
The great Mortske buttoning up another one. Good looking rig.
Thanks 👍
You mentioned the double controls made me think of a guy we worked with nicknamed Bobo who had an old VW Bug. The throttle cable jacketing had disintegrated along the hump between the seats. We were heading down the street to get lunch and I surreptitiously reached down and pulled the cable for a few seconds. Momentary terror. 😂
the neck snapping air cooled 4 cylinder power!
If you weren't like 1000 miles away I'd like to have those Flexsteel seats. I think they could be re-upholstered and brought back around.
1:49. And to think, I just mowed my yard yesterday, it's nice and green. Maybe living in Missouri isn't too bad...
Lucky
Yup, still my favourite truck you’ve done. Don’t sell it, I don’t want to have to make room for it. Enjoy, happy Easter!
Thanks, you too!
I added one of those fitting to the factory air tank on my Ram thinking I would use it all the time and I think I have used it 10 times in the past 5 years.
I looked it up and Viaire states it can be mounted in any direction since it is oil-less! That’s pretty neat!
My 2012 Range Rover had a refrigerated center console maybe you can get one out of a wrecked one and adapt it. Very nice!
Amazon has cheap Bluetooth or wifi obd port transmitters that when you download their app you can modify the gauges you want. This allows you to see all operating variables of the truck. Temps, pressures, relay statuses, speed, revolutions…you name it they have it.
Awesome!
@@MortskeRepair name the truck Polar Express
That's one slick lookin ride. 😊😊😊😊. Mondays with Mortske and Duff is always a highlight on a Monday 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm really liking cowboy Cadillac. But whatever you name it I love what you have done with it. And screw anyone that has bad comments about it cause at the end of the day it's yours and it's what you want that matters.
Exactly
My boss has a 94 c1500 bench seat in a 78 c10 on uncut 94 brackets. It fits perfect
Yeah, at least a 10 minute jukebox video. Good idea!
Great interior improvement :) White is also my first choice of colour always, with red being the last. Fab video as always
Good choice!
