- In this video we throw a ton of parts at the 1985 Chevrolet C30 that have been taking up space in my shop. Including AC, a stock grille, seatbelts, air pressure switch and gauges, sway bar bushings, dash pad, transmission mount AND MORE!! After we get done with all of these upgrades it was time to finally test out this LS swapped 1-ton to see if she's worth her salt towing a trailer! This one isn't for sale just yet. You should check “sunshine” for a hide a key somewhere under it. It has the vibe of having a previous owner who had a back up plan to get in the truck.

You can use those old fire hose to make vertical and horizontal wind and water seals on the bottoms and sides of sliding metal garage doors. I used them on my home made hangar doors.

The Crewbie Dooby is coming along great. I can use it next year for my new water gettin rig. Speaking of which. Next time you need water, record the process using your pump. Specifically, the fittings hook up from truck tank to pump. Maybe second channel??
Just installed AC in my 02 Chevy 2500 hd, was a county truck so no power anything and no AC. Long story short, the AC was all new except the evaporator which requires the dash be removed. The AC lasted from Wisconsin to the New Mexico/Arizona border and then the evaporator had issues. So this is all very familiar! Glad it's working

To get the door unlock. Take a Dodge key that fits in and running in and out of the keyhole turn it at the same time. Do not put a lot of pressure. And lubricated first . WD 40. That's the way you unlock when you use a pic.

A “low pressure switch” disengages the compressor clutch if there is excessive refrigerant loss (below 30 PSI). A “Binary Switch” incorporates both of these protections into one switch.

Another entertaining offering for a Monday evening! As you already know, I love spouting off , so here's a few random comments:
1) Your supporting cast...Mojo, Chin, and Duff are the best!
2) Not a big fan of lowered rigs, but down here in Grand Junction (Valley of the Single Buttock) they just don't work off-roading in the desert...personal preference and all that...
3) Those red floor mats make it look like you're standing on the gate to hell
4) Had a big yellow Lab (Chivas) and a beaver pond behind the house, and often times when I got home he was so totally covered in mud that the only part of him clean was his eyeballs! And he just knew he was getting hosed off!

Ever since i was a kid seeing the gmc crew cab jumped the train in cannonball run, ive been a fan!!!! I have always called truck cannonballs.
Im excited to see a video on the dakota. I loved how they drive and those manual 5 speed are really nice shifting trans from what i remember. I've never driven a sport but from what i see it might be a neat little truck for scooting around town.
Got to love a crew cab marshmallow. I had one so low it would scrape on anthills

I still use my club that I bought in 91 after some teenagers stole my wife's caravan. They were caught but never caught the person who stole my 82 K5 blazer back in 85, they even burned it. The newer steering wheel locks feel so cheap and weak compared to my old one.

You'd be surprised how many times people see a loss in the vacuum on your AC system is because the hoses on your manifold gauges are leaking.... A HA then ffwd a few minutes and that was your problem

In AZ, that's a rare factory option. I had to buy a NorCalifornicatior '69 C5500 to get non-A/C.
I’ve used distilled water to find ac leaks. While it’s under vacuum spray the connections with the water. If there’s a leak it will suck the water into the system. Once you fix all of the leaks and pull a final vacuum all of the water flashes and gets sent out of the vacuum pump.
Who doesn't need an extra tow pig? If you are going to tow, and we all know you will, it might as well be in comfort and style. The only drawback is Duff can't feel the wind in his ears. Thanks as always. We are already waiting til next Monday!

The best part of this for me was replacing that hideous grill. 200psi out of that compressor, that's a keeper. Yes, seems the little things take forever and never end. You are really loading up on projects. I just hope you can get to the ones you would enjoy. My vote for the name of the firebird is definitely Dirt Reynolds. Thank you for taking us along. That was lot of work to install the AC but you did it yay. Mojo still kicking ass at 75. I got some 60 year old men that do nothing but sit at home and yap about the good old days and probably wait til death finishes them. In that sense Mojo is doing way better, seems having activity as a senior is the way to go? The Yellow Dodge seems to be too good for a Alaska car. usually Alaska cars are just rusty as hell. Wood ticks are annoying but deer ticks can get you infected with Lyme disease and that can cripple you into a wheel chair if left untreated.
Since you were kind enough to go to Pott County and drive those Datsun trucks, I think Puddin should travel north when it comes time to pressure wash that Dakota...to an endless loop of Barry White, of course.

Mortske, the name should be “The DUAL-HICKY” as it has extra tires for fun and rummages through the country searching for stuff not quite yet defined.
You can also run gorilla tape, 3 or 4 times around the sealing edge of the wheel to help it seal. I just tried it this weekend and it works great, but it wasn't my idea, I saw Colt do it on the S10 he's building on "Bl##pin' J##p" for the "X" build off 👍

I just bought 4 lug nuts for my car here in Australia because a mechanic lost mine and they cost me $36 so those would have cost me $288 and you got them donated, wow cool deal.
Thank you for always a educationally entertaining quality show. I am not sure as well about stereo speakers stuff? A left and right channel and a center speaker adds to the ambient sound you hear and the fullness of it. As to the back plug ins for the 3 speakers? I do not know? Maybe the speaker plug in the speaker wiring is all you need? As in the plug having the 3 speaker connection plugs to each at the 3 speaker's???? The auto stereo shops/stores would know this as well as finding information about it online. You do quality work on your vehicles. Duff makes the show more entertaining as well.

Nice that the dually together and towing! The idler pulley fell off my 4.3L and stripped the bracket threads as I was doing 80. Too far from home so shop has it fun times. Just got running after a new distributor too.

I’m not into the lowering trucks but to each their own. Big fan of the Cowboy Cadillac we had back in the day. Ours had a Pape sleeper cap and a 100 gallon auxiliary fuel tank in the bed. We travelled the East Coast bracket racing and that truck got 6 to 8 gallons while towing with the anemic 454. Thanks for the video!
