The Warning are three sisters born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela (24, guitar & lead vocals), Paulina (22, drums, lead & backing vocals), Alejandra (19, bass & backing vocals). They started playing classical piano at a very young age, then their dad bought them the videogame Rock Band and that inspired Daniela and Paulina to learn their respective instruments. Later on Alejandra picked up the bass and the rest is history. Despite being so young the've been a band for 10 years already and they have 4 studio albums and 1 EP. I think you're gonna have a great time exploring their music.👍
It’s so cool that this song is helping both bands so much. There’s a surprising number of reactors who’ve reacted to only one or the other… now they are motivated to explore whichever of these bands they haven’t previously heard. And some reactors to this hadn’t heard either band! More reactions overall = more viewers becoming fans.
This is what happens when no egos are involved. The 2 bands liked each other then got to meet at Aftershock in 2022, Band-Maid offered to play with them at a live show in Tokyo and The Warning did a small tour in Japan so they got together.
I was at the show they did tigether in Tokyo! Its time for you to join the Warning Army! Start your journey duwn this rabbit hole with the MTV 2023 VMAs performance ofvthe sing "Evolve!" Trust me.
The obvious is it's too short. Liked the fact that each member played their own particular sound. I can't say enough of how good Saiki and Dani sounded together, especially considering they're both singing in a higher-than-normal register.
Unlike many other collaborations, this collaboration came about when they met at the Aftershock festival in the United States. They realized that both fans were fans of each other, and agreed to do a collaboration when they met again, which happened in the city of Tokyo this year. So it was a collaboration more about agreement between bands that admire each other than about marketing strategy, record labels and managers, simply as they should be.
Fun facts for you: The Warning and Band-Maid recorded this song over 2 weeks and played it together live as an encore to their concert together. Dany (main lead singer and guitar) from TW has invited Band-Maid to Mexico. You mentioned Electric Callboy - The Warning played rigth after them at Pol'and'Rock (one of the biggest festival in Europe) and at the end of the show they had everybody in the HUGE audience in the palm of their hand. The Warning also played at Wacken (another one of the biggest festival in Europe). Now, "You have been warned" - welcome to The Warning
The 2 TEDx presentations of 2016 and 2017 are highly recommended, the Warning talks about the formation of the band and their struggles along the way. In the first presentation they play two covers and one original song from their first album on the second one the play 3 original songs. Many became fans after watching both presentations.
So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. They went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future. Kanami wants B-M to come to Mexico and and Dany wants the collab to be in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color.
Fantastic. If you like lyrics you’re gonna LOVE The Warning. Be it ‘XXI Century Blood’ (do the OMV), their concept album ‘Queen of the Murder Scene’ (Lunario is great source), ‘ERROR’ (the song & the whole album) (Teatro Metropolitan) to their latest album with a song that contains “please don’t say it. ‘I don’t care’ is such an easy lie.”. As you say, people who say “I don’t care” often are lying to themselves.
ooh The Warning is great! I definitely suggest checking them out! Maybe start with their song - Money Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo in June where they live debuted this song Also caught the premiere of this video. Nice to get to read the lyrics on this one Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
This is a great collaboration. I expect the Band Madiacs will be along before too long. If you don’t mind, let me drop pa bit of introduction to The Warning. Welcome to The Warning. The Warning Army welcomes you to what we believe is the future of rock & roll - The Warning - Three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. With four studio albums, several live concert videos, we think there is plenty of material for you to choose from. They were independent for the first two albums (Kickstarter and crowd-funded), but are now signed to Lava/Republic records. This three-piece is: Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar) Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums) Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay, 19yo, bass) All three sisters sing, and all are classically trained on piano. The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of classic rock, metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them. At the same time simple and complex. What does it sound like to me? Refreshing. A sound that has caught my ear and made me interested in rock again after 25+ years of the same old playlist. While together their combined ages are about the same as many of us fans, their musical maturity is exceptionally high. Need another suggestion? From The Warning’s TH-cam page you might choose from: - MORE or EVOLVE from the MTV VMAs - S!CK or Automatic Sun live studio performances from either MTV Push or Jimmy Kimmel - The official music video for their new releases Six Feet Deep, S!CK or Que Mas Quieras (in Spanish) - 2023 Pepsi Center Live performance of Hell You Call A Dream - CHOKE, ANIMOSITY, Dust to Dust, 23, or any other song from their 2022 show at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (aka Mexico City) - The official music video for XXI CENTURY BLOOD - SURVIVE from their 2017 TedX talk There are really no bad choices. They are something special live-I think it is their super power. Their energy, charisma, and musicality really shine when in front of an audience. In the past two years I have flown all over North America and Mexico, and just got home from three shows in the UK and Ireland. Can’t wait for the chance to travel and see them again. The only other band I have traveled for like this in more than 45 years of concert going was Rush. We would love to have you join us in The Warning Army as one of the Warneros. The Warning can be a deep rabbit hole, but we have plenty of space down here for you. Good luck on your journey!!
Wonderful suggestions, but I’m of the belief that-first time at least-any song off of Queen Of The Murder Scene should be heard in the context of listening to the whole album in its entirety. It being a concept album, and a great one at that! Plus this reactor likes to analyze lyrics so that makes it even more important, IMO, to take the QOTMS in one sitting. Otherwise, yes, you can’t go wrong with picking individual songs from any other album by them!
In 2017, The Warning did a TEDx conference (that you can find on TH-cam) at which they played 3 songs out of their first album (the 4th has just come out) and also expressed that, at their very young age back then, they interacted with many people that tried to change them "for the wrong reasons", so they did music their way instead of listening to them. This resonates so much with the message of this song. I believe that, at least on The Warning side, they deeply believe in the message it carries.
I'm subbing so I can watch as you discover the best Trio on the scene today..3 sisters from Mexico, THE WARNING.. you have no idea what you've been missing..Try The Warning live "DISCIPLE"at #Pol'and'Rock2024 or EVOLVE LIVE AT THE MTV VMA'S 2023 or DUST TO DUST LIVE AT TEATRO METROPOLITAN CDMX 2022..🌎✌️try SHARKS official lyrics video.. it's new
If you are looking for a fresh new Japanese band check out Nek! - Get Over. Just appeared 3 months ago and looks like they are heavily influenced by Band-Maid, and probably Scandal among others as well, some of the members even have individual covers of B-M songs on their own social media.

To be honest,The Warning is my reason for watching. I've found The Warnings music actually makes me feel something.. The Warning lyrics are brilliant in every song they write. It all started in 2022 at *Aftershock* when *BAND-MAID* and *The Warning* met for the first time. 😊

You need to hear more of The Warning. Try 'Evolve' and 'More' from the 2023 MTV VMAs to start, or anything from the Teatro Metropolitan shows.
