It's hard to find two Ateez songs that would sound the same, their production team prides themselves on constantly challenging themselves with new styles. Recently they've been playing big festivals with a full rock band to add more kick to their songs, and that's saying something because they're already the best performers in kpop by a mile. Their Coachella performance of Wonderland with a sword killing point was amazing, there's nothing else like that in current kpop. A general note - we differentiate kpop groups and bands, the latter are specifically those that play live instruments. And I'm not sure why you'd think rock isn't popular in Korea? They have the same genres as the rest of the world, you just have to know where to look for them :) The most popular bands are the ones on a softer end of the spectrum, like an indie rock vibe, pop rock or generally vocal lead ones - Day6, The Rose, Lucy, N.Flying, Onewe, Jannabi and plenty of others. And if we're talking about kpop then Dreamcatcher has a rock/metal vibe (and they share some of Ateez producers so you know it's high quality). Also, Ateez new album is out in a week!
Halazia is the next in the series and is a top 5 song for me. Note: Throw out any ideas you have about song structure, because it is a unique track. Amazing sonic experience in Dolby Atmos! Guerrilla -> Halazia -> Bouncy -> Crazy Form -> Work For Kpop reactions in general, including dance practices and/or live performances are popular. For Guerrilla, I like the Moving practice and the Coachella live band performance is super popular. Also, the live Flag version from the current tour is 🤯
I feel you’ll really like their song Halazia. ATEEZ are best known for their intense, high energy, and anthemic tracks. A lot of their songs are influenced by Latin and/or Balkan music too. They have some really powerful and epic bsides in their albums that are perfect for whenever the end of the world draws near. I’m not sure if that’s the kind of stuff you like, but it’s songs like those that really solidified my love for ATEEZ’s music. And though rock and metal aren’t big in Korea, there’s a girl group by the name of Dreamcatcher whose music is influenced by the rock and metal genre (but mostly rock).
I really reccomend ateez' album "the world episode 2 outlaw"! Bouncy is the title track and has a music video, but i feel like the other tracks on the album may be more your style and are SO worth checking out. Yu can use lyric videos for the lyrics/find out who is singing/rapping. As for more of the rock/metal vibes in kpop, the girl group "dreamcatcher" is the one to listen to. Here are some reccomendations: Odd eye Deja vu Goodnight (oldie but a goodie) Scream I wasnt a huge fan of work, guerrilla is for sure in my top 3 favourite title tracks and is much more my style too. will keep an eye out for dreamcatcher/more ateez!
I find myself wanting to echo other comments regarding Ateez's style and what to watch, so I'll focus instead on a few different group recommendations! KQ Entertainment (Ateez's company) have two other groups that are also both awesome. Block B (older group): Very Good, Her, and Nilili Mambo. Xikers (newer group): Bittersweet, Witch, Red Sun. Non KQ-related groups - A.C.E: Higher (not Take Me Higher though that's good too), Undercover, Supernatural, Goblin (Favorite Boys). They have a new release coming up very very soon too which is sure to be great. All(H)ours: VERY new group so not many songs to choose from yet but Shock and Wao Wao are both so good. The Boyz: Watch It, Maverick, Thrill Ride, The Stealer. I will say if you want to try and get a sort of sampler of Ateez's discography and enjoy their amazing live vocals check out their "Killing Voice" performance which is presented by Dingo. They sing clips of a number of their songs in that. Or you can check out their Coachella performance for the full live experience including dancing. The Guerilla performance is SO powerful, especially with the fan chanting joining in. I don't know if Day 1 is up but make sure to watch the Day 2 performance if it is!
I listen to alot of Kpop groups and ateez are one of my favs!! I definitely second what some other commenters have been saying about listening to Halazia next:) I’ll also give you some different artists to check out since you want to explore kpop some more! First NCT127 they have alot of hiphop elements and are very experimental with their sound, I recommend Kick It and also Cherry Bomb by them:) Second Seventeen, they have a bit more of a pop sound and are super talented dancers, known for their amazing synchronisation and as a 13 member group, its super impressive. I recommend Super and maestro by them:) Third bts, i know you’ve mentioned that you’re heard of them but I’m not sure if you’re listened to any of their music, I recommend Mic drop (steve aoki remix) Fourth and finally Dreamcatcher!!! Theyre a girl group with a rock sound, it reminds me of Japanese rock:) i think youll like them! I recommend Scream and Boca Hope this helps! I tried to give a variety:)
I’m a 55 year old punk rocker who got into K-Pop through my daughter. Ateez is one of the very best in my opinion. They are second only to BTS in my book. I have been BTS ARMY since 2018. They are currently on hiatus as most of them are still doing their military service. Despite that they are still voted #1 in almost every category in the online vote for top K-Pop artists in rap, vocals, dance, etc. They have won over a thousand awards both as a group and individually for performing, writing, composing and producing. I highly recommend Fire, Dope, Not Today and ON; Kinetic Manifesto. For softer fare I suggest Save Me, Boy With Luv and Blood, Sweat and Tears. Other groups I like are TxT, Enhypen and Exo. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@ Exactly, what a lot of people have trouble with is that we can like several things at the same time but we all have our preferences. Ateez is the only group I put on the same level as BTS even though I enjoy other groups too.
Other Korean bands - if you haven't checked The Rose already, you can try their "Back to me". They've somewhat of an indie rock sound. In terms of ATEEZ - if you prefer fun videos, messages, and a kinky sound, then check out "The Real". Enjoy and stay safe!
Thanks for the kpop reaction. I recommend PIRI by Dreamcatcher in kpop. I am sure you will like this group very much. Because this group has a rock sound.

If you liked this song and dance you should 10000% check out the dance practice for this!!!! It’s so freaking cool

Thanks for reacting to Ateez again 😊looking forward to more Ateez reactions 😁👍 you should check out Xdinary Heroes too. 😊
@@conniewold6034 i have 2 reactions of xdinary heroes so far and did their latest song today!
Hi! It’s pronounced eeeey-teez. Long A. 🙂
