I'm one of the lucky few that got to see this live in Tokyo! It was absolutely incredible. The Warning played first, and then Band-Maid followed with their set. We all knew we were in for something special when Dany came running back out on stage, guitar in hand. Ale and Pau were close behind, and the crew wheeled out Pau's drums and the amps. Some of us caught Kanami and Akane hiding at the side of stage, watching The Warning play the first few songs and smiling all the way. This is definitely not a collaboration put on to garner views (though it certainly will), but because of the mutual respect and love these 8 incredible women have for each other, and their genuine desire to work together. I would also highlight that this has been a great opportunity for The Warning in many respects. The vast majority of people I spoke to at the concert had either never heard of them, or had heard their name but not their music. Speaking after the show, a lot of them were left with a stellar first impression. It's also a great opportunity for Dany to deepen her ties with PRS. Although they don't look it, the ladies from Band-Maid are all in their 30s (compared to TW who are in their early 20s). Thanks again from Japan 有難う 💛。 I witnessed the live debut of this song 😍 that was played as the encore & finale of the special concert by Band-Maid & The Warning on June 12 in Roppongi, Tokyo . My seat was located on the 2nd floor but in the center meaning in front of the two drummers. I was in bliss! It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed like a duel to see which drummer can kick harder enough to break their bass drum in the joint performance. 🤣 (FYI : In the special concert, The Warning, who opened as the special guest, performed so powerful that the Maids were fired up to start their turn with fullest energy as the hostess band. It was fun like a kind of martial arts between two fighters respecting each other. 😄)
This was a great song. Very high energy, and everything sounded great. Loved Dany belting that note at the beginning of the song. To me this felt a lot like when I heard Temple of the Dog for the first time. Two great bands getting together and creating awesome music is always fun to see and very exciting. Thanks for the great reaction video!
Hello from New Mexico! I've been a huge TW fan for years. You tube suggested your videos to me. I watched a few and really enjoyed them. Today, as I was watching this one, it all clicked - band teacher, PA, a familiar last name... 😮 It's a small world! Happy to be your new fan. - Jennifer, Kiski '88 trumpet.
Holy cow Jennifer. What a small world it is. Glad you enjoyed the videos. I’m betting you were in band with my brother Rich. He played trumpet and Tuba. I graduated in 85 I was in all of the bands and I played baseball.
Great reaction, if you want to know how this song was put together. Check out the billboard jp interview and you'll see how Kanami Tono, Band-Maid and the Warning put this Song together.. Again great reaction as always. 👍👍🤘🤘🕊️🇺🇸
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo back in June where they live debuted this song Also caught the premiere of this video too. Nice to get to read the lyrics on this one Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too! Both Saiki & Dani are world class frontwomen! The Warning brought it that nite. Think Band Maid ratcheted up a notch so as to not be shown up on their home turf! Was an amazing concert!
Years ago, when I started on Instagram, I saw that Pau was liking nearly everything that BAND-MAID and Akane posted. I had a feeling they’d meet up eventually, and when they did at Aftershock 2002, I believe it was Saiki that said The Warning mentioned doing a song together.
Also, the one time one of the sisters answered my questions in one of their Instagram lives, I asked Dany if she was a fan of Japanese bands like Pau is. Dany said yes, they all are, and specifically said they’re fans of Babymetal. When they played this live, I was there with my wife and two of ours friends and we had a great time. The energy in the crowd was great, and the ladies had so much fun playing together. The drum exchange (I hesitate to call it a duel) was a bit longer.
When talented musicians come together nothing can go wrong... lucky the fans of both bands, who in little more than 3 minutes came together in this extraordinary collaboration.
from JAPAN. Thank you for your react. It is my pleasure to see you commenting so happily. The great thing about this project is that it was not planned by the management, but was made possible by the friendship and respect between each other's members. This song is not a battle, nor is it meant to compare bands. I think it is an expression of the joy of bands that are fans of each other playing together. What is unfortunate, however, is that there are those who criticize the artists without understanding the significance of the collaboration and ignoring the artists' wishes. As the band and fandom grows, it may be inevitable that there will be antagonists and haters. Dissing either band will never please either member. Regardless of which band you are a fan of, you should warmly support them. I look forward to more videos from you in the future.
That’s what is said now because the constructive criticisms are correct with measures and time stamps, so there’s no other way to debate the truth, so they revert to “It’s what the bands wish” and “It’s a collab” and it’s for “Band Maids new album so TW should take a back seat” blah blah blah. These are reaction videos and that’s where substantiated criticisms are supposed to be. Statements like yours are what attracts the trolls who then say that the fan bases can’t take constructive criticism and these bands are being coddled. If you can refute the constructive criticisms then do so, but this diversion so many of you are attempting doesn’t help at all.
@@rodneyramirez603 You are right. Even if I do not intend it myself, it may be considered a distraction. I think everyone thinks and feels differently, and it is not about what is right or wrong. So even well-meaning intentions can have the opposite effect. I may not have thought this through properly. If my comments have offended you, I apologize profusely.
@@HG-kr5dc No no no my friend there s no reason to apologize, this is a just robust debate. I felt I needed to say something for the reasons I already listed, I will always fight for TW and their integrity. I had to step back when I first spotted the problem and then slow the video down. When I did that, it was glaringly obvious, but not so much at regular speed. And on top of that one of their commenters just came out and said: “@toshimatyu6654 Between the two bands Miku maintains the rhythm, changes the composition and plays between the gaps in the sound. I feel the greatness of Miku’s presence in this song!” This is what I’m hearing in this song, stepping all over anything TW plays and gives TW very little time in both medias. BM gives nowhere near the amount of respect that they’re getting from us, TWA and TW. No worries and no apologies needed! 🤘🏽⚡️VIVA THE WARNING⚡️🤘🏽🇲🇽
@@TlanImass😅 How sneaky! 😜 I thought Dani pushed herself to adapt to Saiki. Didn't know Saiki was also a bit lower. Is it Kanami who has a really high voice (especially speaking voice) in Band Maid? In any case, if you are right, I'm sure Dani and Saiki will get her back, and repay the prank, with interest 😁🤘
@@niclasvestman Yes, Kanami-san has a high speaking voice. Higher than the others but still pretty normal. In the Billboard interview Dani said she will write the song in the lower key next time! lol
Good reaction. Great collaboration. Lots of people were waiting for this. Hope Band Maid comes to the Netherlands one day. Did see the Warning last Monday. Both great live bands. Thanks for this reaction.
John, they played Melkweg in 2018, but hopefully they return soon. But if they don't come for the european tour, Paris and London aren't too far away by train😉
I loved the badsss lyrics and Saiki's phrasing of "more" in the initial verse. I think you are the first reactor to point that out! Such a thrill to hear these Queens of Rock and Roll rip out a banger like Show Them! The feeling I get is like Wayne and Garth said "We're not worthy!"
She's smiling all the time live, but I thought it was a good point. In the MVs they don't really show the instrumentalists faces much in general, and they're almost always rocking out hard when they do show them. This video did show everyone's faces much more than typical BM videos.
Dany's scream gets your attention right away. lol. Really liking this song, lost track of how many reactions I've seen.🤘🤘 Yep the 'pairing up' is cool, they used that in a bunch of shorts leading up to this release. Labeling them Ale vs Misa, Akane vs Pau, etc, plus a solo short for Miku. Kanami's smiling because it worked out awesomely, lol, from what I've heard she wrote it. Writing for 2 bands, and challenging everyone as well, awesome job. So apparently, the key is higher than either Dany or Saiki usually sing in. They did blend very well. Hoping they release the live version soon, so far only that 30 sec teaser clip last month has been officially posted. if you haven't seen it, check out the Dany and Kanami interview on PRS Guitars Japan, they said that the bands should do a return engagement in Mexico, that would be awesome.
I didn’t see those clips or the guitar talk Chris. I’ll have to look for it. Man Kanami is such an incredible arranger and composer. This whole things just is off the charts. If they come to Mexico that would be so awesome! Those shows would sell out for sure. Ima ire Band-Maid would time it for a us tour again too.
I was doubtful about this collaboration, I had been a diehard maidiac for years, but with the release of this song, these girls did AWESOME!!! the lyrics i should add are meant to tell ALL of us to "show them"...thank you girls for such powerful lyrics and meaning. Together? ok I am sold, they can make more together!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Kanami must have done the arrangement for this. This was a potential train wreck, but that didn't happen. Allowing so much space for each other. Amazing!
I believe she did and you are right lots of potential for bad stuff to go down but the writing and arranging and the professionalism really comes out with all of these awesome ladies.
I have been watching your reactions for quite some time and FINALLY subscribed ( I thought I already had). Watching your reactions always reminds me of my own on my channel. You seem around the same age and get the giddy schoolboy look that I do as well. You're more schooled in music than I am but I do know the joy of music in the same way you do and am a fellow musician. You looked almost ready to tear up at the switch off part just as I did. Thanks for your insights and hope to see you on my channel someday.
@@bobcieslinski Thanks for the reply. Before the link I JUST HAD THE BEST IDEA! I don't think The Warning will play Show Them live without Band Maid but,.........I bet they could play it with Halestorm and Evanescence while they're in Canada opening for them. What do you think? Sounds awesome to me. Here is the link to my channel th-cam.com/channels/VI8ItkS1VwLGIvR_w75MYw.html and a suggestion if you haven't already heard it. Sharks by The Warning is a cool ass song. Either the Pol and Rock live version or the lyric video. One of my favorites from the cd.
An absolutely amazing collaboration! The admiration and respect was definitely obvious. There is an awesome interview of all 8 members on Billboard-Japan's website (use the original Japanese version translated by Google, for some reason the site's own English version leaves a bunch out). The interview provided some interesting insights into the process and was in general just a love-fest between the two groups. In the PRS interview Dany said it's here goal to get Band-Maid to sing a new song in Spanish when they come to Mexico.
That's the most English I've heard come out of Saiki's mouth since Band-Maid started. I was skeptical about this song when it came out. The only reason I gave it a chance was because of your reaction Bob. What a brilliant collaboration. Thanks for another great introduction to my music list. Cheers sir.
И у меня ощущение было, что словно девушки всегда играли вместе, настолько гладко и целостно звучит песня. Сколько же труда и таланта было вложено в это звучание обеими группами.
There's a great vlog on the Warnings channel here on youtube. Shows them meeting exchanging gifts. working on the song, playing live together, and just hanging outand having dinner and drinks together.
🎀 W I N !!!!! W I N !!!⚡I think we can just say, at their level, Band-Maid and The Warning are equal peers at the very top of the "Rock" pile. Thx Bob!
@@bobcieslinski I just watched your reaction again and gotta say I hadn't really appreciated what a rarity it is to have bands of this calibre melding together so perfectly until you pointed it out. I had to think about all the big bands nand, yes, it has never been done like this before.
8 top tier artists in one place (with their instruments) it could have been chaos, but Dani has said that she was pleasantly surprised how much Kanami was involved with everything from composing and arranging to audio engineering (with MISA) and playing, I have to believe that the genius that is Kanami has her fingerprints all over this. She knows how to do it all, so i would think she is basically a producer now
Great reaction! Thanks! Habla mucho del gran talento y humildad de estas jóvenes lograr este tipo de colaboración. Cada banda saca lo mejor de sí actuando por separado, pero esta colaboración ha sido brillante, un hito histórico sin lugar a dudas.
Really an epic outing. I’d like them to linger a little more on each musician. I want a 10 minute extended remix, that would be awesome, but on the whole a real great collaboration, more like a big party. Hope to see more. This one in just a couple days has proven incredibly popular, a stellar response from everyone.
The secret of this whole thing is Kanami's composition and arrangement accommodating both bands styles. A second song recently sung in English by Saiki. Been saying for ages- Good move.
Almost forgot, Bob, have you watched the PRS video with Kanami and Dani? AND there is video of Kanami's PRS Private Stock guitar. If you do, what do you think the inlay is on the back of the neck?
Opposite ends of the globe!!! Notice how they start on the street in the beginning and by the end of the tune they are on a roof of a building with a helipad.
The only thing that disappointed me about this was that there wasn't more *of* it :) World class jam session with 8 stellar musicians having a total blast riffing off of each other. Could so easily have descended into chaos and mud, but instead it stayed razor-sharp all the way through.
My friend: DarWin, The Warning and Band Maid...3 de las mejores Bandas del mundo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The song was cleverly written. Both bands can also include it in their programme. It has the typical length of The Warning songs, but can easily be extended with the typical Band Maid solos. Who is playing the instruments is irrelevant. Everyone can show off their skills. Only the vocals need some work. But I think it would work with just Saiki or Danny's voice. Including the harmonies of Miku or Pau or Ale.
There is a huge problem here. There is so much talent that these 8 badass ladies would need a 20 minute song for everyone to stretch and play. I love these girls

It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed like a duel to see which drummer can kick harder enough to break their bass drum in the joint performance. 🤣
(FYI : In the special concert, The Warning, who opened as the special guest, performed so powerful that the Maids were fired up to start their turn with fullest energy as the hostess band. It was fun like a kind of martial arts between two fighters respecting each other. 😄)
Hey Flugelhorn! Nice to hear from you again. Man that concert had to be epic based off of this song. It’s pretty epic.
Thanks it was an incredible song and collaboration! So much fun.
Thanks I appreciate your comments!
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo back in June where they live debuted this song
Also caught the premiere of this video too. Nice to get to read the lyrics on this one
Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too! Both Saiki & Dani are world class frontwomen!
The Warning brought it that nite. Think Band Maid ratcheted up a notch so as to not be shown up on their home turf! Was an amazing concert!
Man are you lucky. That had to be epic!
@@bobcieslinski was amazing!
I love Miku got her moments. Right after everyone paired up the dropped out all the instruments but she kept playing the rhythm
I actually didn't notice that on the first few listens. Now I hear it everytime. 😁
@@BlahBlah_13 I guess Dani does rhythm parts on recordings. Band maid fans are pampered with aa rhythm guitarist like miku
She’s the glue that holds it all together. The difference maker.
Future hall of fame rockstars …every single one of them are just talent through the roof ..🤘
I agree
When talented musicians come together nothing can go wrong... lucky the fans of both bands, who in little more than 3 minutes came together in this extraordinary collaboration.
You said it. Great comments!
...and it all started with a small pigeon. Miku shines in her own way, proudly delighting in what she has created. "Pigeons will rule the world."
Because Kobato. 🕊 🙂
Thanks for the great comments. Both bands are amazing rock bands and I enjoy them both.
@@bobcieslinski It is wonderful. I think that is what a fan should be. I, too, will learn from you. Thank you for your comments.
Outstanding reaction/analysis, Bob! I was waiting for this! Thanks! 🤗
Glad you enjoyed it I know I did.
I have never heard Saiki sing in that high register before.
Kanami-san wrote the song in a higher key to challenge both Saiki-san and Daniela. :)
Me either.
In the Billboard interview Dani said she will write the song in the lower key next time! lol
@@TlanImass 😄 Awesome 😎👍
!!!GOODISM¡¡¡ The Warning + BAND-MAID is 100% 🔥 !!!🎵Ole Ole Ole Oleeee Warning/BAND-MAID🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Arrangement by Kanami! 🤘
Good reaction. Great collaboration. Lots of people were waiting for this. Hope Band Maid comes to the Netherlands one day. Did see the Warning last Monday. Both great live bands. Thanks for this reaction.
Thanks John! So lucky you got to see them live. I haven’t seen either one yet. Hoping to though.
John, they played Melkweg in 2018, but hopefully they return soon. But if they don't come for the european tour, Paris and London aren't too far away by train😉
@@allesmetkaas You are right. did not know them back then.
That’s a great reference to Wayne and Garth. The hanks for the kind words!
Kanami is also smiling when she is "talking" to MISA in their encounters, e.g. in "Hate?" and "Dont you tell me".
She's smiling all the time live, but I thought it was a good point. In the MVs they don't really show the instrumentalists faces much in general, and they're almost always rocking out hard when they do show them. This video did show everyone's faces much more than typical BM videos.
That makes sense cause it felt new to me.
I would like to hear this song just with The Warning and the same song just with Band Maid.
You hit it on the note 🎶#BobCieslinski about 2 bands playing together soo seamlessly.
They make it seem second hand nature.
🤘❤🔥🤘
Thanks!
Dany’s Lzzy open is awesome. The collab…HOLY FUCK!
all that and both were singing in a second language,,beautiful
Shorts on the band's yt, teaser clips on other soc media
@@chriso6719 thanks!
@@bobcieslinski When you spoke about Kanamis smile the video showed Misa & Ale. 😆
Outstanding.
These are my two new favorite bands. Love them playing off each other, this was too short. Love your reaction. Stay safe.🤘
Kanami must have done the arrangement for this. This was a potential train wreck, but that didn't happen. Allowing so much space for each other. Amazing!
Kanami, the humble musical genius, with nerves of steel considering the task.
Awesome that you have a channel and are a musician too. Send me a link for your channel. I’d love to check it out.
It was cool to see you so excited, lol. It's an awesome song.
Thanks! There’s a lot to get excited about here.
By isolating Miku's strumming of her Zemeitas in the video, you realize that the melody was being laid down in a wall of sound the entire song.
Guys, this song is in 4/4 time. You can tell because this band teacher can count to 4 at several different times during the video.
Good catch. I did do that. I appreciate you paying attention. Lol
I watched Dani and Kanami interview. It was awesome.
That's the most English I've heard come out of Saiki's mouth since Band-Maid started. I was skeptical about this song when it came out. The only reason I gave it a chance was because of your reaction Bob. What a brilliant collaboration. Thanks for another great introduction to my music list. Cheers sir.
Wow Donegal! I’m humbled. Thanks for thr kind words man. You made me feel great on my Bday!

Yep I’d agree Tom.
It's so fitting because both groups formed in 2013. Of course the ladies from Band-Maid are about 10 years older than DPA
Superb reaction and analysis as always, Bob. A very catchy song that keeps popping into my head.
Mine too Tony! It was epic.
@@bobcieslinski I just watched your reaction again and gotta say I hadn't really appreciated what a rarity it is to have bands of this calibre melding together so perfectly until you pointed it out. I had to think about all the big bands nand, yes, it has never been done like this before.

The Warning and Band Maid together what a Great time to be alive!!!! Great reaction as always Bob.
Great time for sure Ron.
Kanami is having the time of her life and it really shows.
Locura!!!
Great reaction to a Great Song!
She knows how to do it all, so i would think she is basically a producer now
She is Ana big and I believe she was the maestro behind the production.
Hi Bob. You can definately each band's style in this song, a well worked collaboration.
Yep you are right Lewis.
Great reaction! Thanks! Habla mucho del gran talento y humildad de estas jóvenes lograr este tipo de colaboración. Cada banda saca lo mejor de sí actuando por separado, pero esta colaboración ha sido brillante, un hito histórico sin lugar a dudas.
Great comments I agree with you completely.
Really an epic outing. I’d like them to linger a little more on each musician. I want a 10 minute extended remix, that would be awesome, but on the whole a real great collaboration, more like a big party. Hope to see more. This one in just a couple days has proven incredibly popular, a stellar response from everyone.
Yeah extended would be great.
The secret of this whole thing is Kanami's composition and arrangement accommodating both bands styles. A second song recently sung in English by Saiki. Been saying for ages- Good move.
Rock Goddesses assemble!
Totalmente de acuerdo , fue genial 🤘
Band-Maid + The Warning = Awesome rock!!!!!!!
For sure Philip!

Right.
Almost forgot, Bob, have you watched the PRS video with Kanami and Dani? AND there is video of Kanami's PRS Private Stock guitar. If you do, what do you think the inlay is on the back of the neck?
I did see it and that is pretty interesting. Very unique.
Opposite ends of the globe!!! Notice how they start on the street in the beginning and by the end of the tune they are on a roof of a building with a helipad.
THIS IS GREAT STUFF
The Pigeon stuck in the middle!
The only thing that disappointed me about this was that there wasn't more *of* it :) World class jam session with 8 stellar musicians having a total blast riffing off of each other. Could so easily have descended into chaos and mud, but instead it stayed razor-sharp all the way through.
You said it. I hope there is more coming.
🤘🤘
Epic!! 🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥🎯
And Dany reaching back to her 14-15 year old voice as to not overpower everyone.
A little unfair, but I get what you are saying.
@@gregjetnikoff7124 But also true.
Especially because Kanami wrote the vocals a key higher than each normally sings in.
Pau and Akane are both just fantastic
Great !
Great comments thanks!
