I have mine for about 3 years and 90.000 km. Still happy with it and it can tow up to 400 kg, unlike the other car in same size.
No turbo to go wrong. No EGR valve to gunk up. No Direct Injection to thin your oil and cause pre-ignition. No DPF to fill up with ash. No dual mass flywheel to go wrong. No silly dual clutch gearbox to fail. No fuel guzzling fluid drive auto box. No heavy battery to lug around. No cost or weight penalty from all of the above.
Well done Suzuki. You created my perfect car...
Peter Growcott well said Sir. Cars are such a waste of money, the dealers know this but image obsessed fools will always be sucked in. A lot of people think renting a house is dead money, yet those same people will pay hundreds a month on a PCP deal for a car they will never own, just to show off to friends and neighbours. I dont do many miles, but even if I did, cheap cars like this are still more than capable. I dont care about badges and labels, why should I be bothered what others think? Diesels are only bought by sheep because they have turbos fitted, and the more complex the engine, the more problems you will get in the end. I might get one of these. Makes more sense.
Peter Growcott+ Some NA engines have EGR, it improves the fuel efficiency a bit. It won't coke up the intake manifold like a diesel, though.

Good positive review for once from Rebecca. I see too many reviews where all they do is make negative comments instead of focusing on the good points. Its a cheap car, and some people simply do not want or need to spend on expensive cars when a simple, fun to drive motor is all that is required. Too many people in this country are obsessed with image, and let me tell you that all these fancy BMWs, Audis and Mercs etc that you see everywhere, you can bet that most of them are on PCP or lease deals of some sort. Someone on minimum wage can afford the payments so it doesn't make you look wealthy. You never own the car, it gets traded in after 3 years and you start all over again on another PCP deal, what a joke. Those same people probably talk about renting houses being dead money, yet will happily pay hundreds a month to rent a car haha. Ah well, never mind, so long as the neighbours and your work colleagues see you in a fancy car that you don't own LOL, thats all that matters eh? Back in the late 1980s I drove a new BMW, paid for in cash. PCP did not exist back then, so the brand was more exclusive than it is today due to the fact you needed real money to own one. Nowadays any tom dick and harry can get them, which to me has devalued the image. Now I just drive cheap cars, and this Suzuki is good enough for what its designed for. And just to add, Ive had loads of nice looking women, and none of them were bothered what car I was driving.

I saw one at the junkyard, it was involved in an accident and it was squashed like a bug...the driver most likely died. The ones sold in my country are built in India with no safety features whatsoever so it is not a wise choice. Nobody buys a car to be involved in a car accident but if you happen to be on one you definitely want the 6 airbags and all the safety features that other Suzuki models offer or look elsewhere at other brands...Oh and I sat inside one when I was at my local dealership and it felt cheap and uncomfortable of course I'd never buy this car. I ended up buying a ZC33S...

In which country you did make this good review
Great car but Suzuki priced it too high.The Alto before it was a lot cheaper and looked cheekier.Price is higher than a Sandero and thats bigger as well.

This is a short sweet sparkling entertaining review that smiles at the very small city car buyer. Is the UP not expensive for what it is? and given that the Celerio is a Suzuki might it not be more reliable and cheaper to run and repair?
Traded in my Peugeot 107 for one of these . I thought my 107 was tinny , but this one wins the tinny award . Steering doesn’t centre properly. Front passenger space isn’t great compared to my 107. Rest of the car is very spacious. No spare tyre ( can buy one of these ) I’m not overly impressed with my celereo . I’d rather buy another used Peugeot 107

Firemarioflower i remember when the Suzuki first came out, they had to recall them because of catastrophic brake failure, so no, you'll find the suzuki is unreliable, the dacia is a great car for the price, and much better than the suzuki.

That wasn't a reliability issue, it was a design flaw on the RHD models, it was picked up by WhatCar I believe 2 days before the launch and they recalled all the 36 cars that had been sold the day after launch and stopped selling them. At least they sorted it, whereas Vauxhall just let people drive around in Zafiras which self combusted and only recalled them when it got into mainstream media.
I've not driven the Dacia, but it wont get over 60mpg in the real world, this does.
But it can go 0 t0 100 in 11 sec cheap but good

I am a loyal costumer of Suzuki cars the last 26 years of my life. So far I bought more than 35 car from Suzuki and every model that Suzuki make from the old Alto Maruti to the last one a new Swift that I bought 10 months ago.
At the moment I got 3 Suzuki cars (under guaranty) that I got a problem with the steering wheel. Wane you turn the wheel 1/3 to the left or 1/3 to the right the car is NOT return to the strait line and continue turn infiniteness and in case you want to turn the car 360° and to the end of the steering wheel the car is continuing to turn to cycle with no stop infiniteness. In test I did the car is continuing turning in cycles more than 3 time's I stop it there because there was not point to continue for infiniteness.
I take the 2 of the cars to the service and communicate with the Suzuki in Athens (for more than 40 times and they refuse to talk to me or to answer to emails… first time in my life I get this kind of customer service and I don’t think there is same like this one in Athens in the rest of the world) about the problem on the 17.05.2018 The cars are in the service all this time almost one month and the try to make me believe that the cars got no problem because they can't find what is the problem with it.. But everybody that drive the cars can say the same that there is something wrong about the steering.
So because they can't find the problem they try to make me believe that the cars are ok and I can live the life of me or my family to the words of them. I ask to get that in writing but no they don't want to take the responsibility wane they are not sure if the car is ok and it will not kill me or my family the next time I drive it in to the street.
And I ask you if you are in my position you will drive this car? With your family in it? And you will trust what they say in words but NOT in writing so Suzuki will take the responsibility in case of an accident and a life lost.

So, you are saying that when you turn the steering wheel to 1/3 and then hold it straight, the wheels don't straighten up and the car keeps turning ? After so many months, have you solved the problem ? Because, this is very serious and I don't know if Celerio suffers from this "disease" .

This has the most efficient engine in the segment thanks to Suzikis equivalent to Mazdas "Skyactive" high compression technology. So thats a good reason to buy it. But personally I just could not live with that dull design, when other cars in the segment are so much better looking.

It's no so cheap but is very good car. 6-7.000 euros will be ok but the communists make it cost 10 oh.
this car and its segments is how to save the environment and conserve resources, not to go full douche with expensive electrical cars that gives you 300 HP because you are likely charging that car from a powerplant the runs by fuel fossil.
it needs some engine tunning to enhance power output 68+ Hp,some modifications in suspension, better tires, sport exhaust and then gooo!
Celerio is the great super eco car.

4:42 Fine by me. Automatic emergancy braking is really useless. It will only be a nuisance and break when you DON"T need it, causing an ACTUAL ACCIDENT cuz cars behidn you think 'WTF' because they don't understand what you're braking for, and crash into you. 3 star? good enough.

The Skoda ugly? What's in your eyes? The Skoda is the best choice. It's driving characteristics are supreme and it's dash is premium quality. It's fun, nippy and handles light and very sharp.
The taste for nice car's.. get it.. Škoda design is kinda boxy and to me they are ugly just like vw or dacia.. new octavia is terrible ugly with that headlight's.. and Mercedes did that before 4 year's.. but Mercedes is nice looking car...
The Celerio has immense cabin room . Its very reliable and more frugal than the Hundai .Plus is cheaper to buy .
