    If you actually need to regularly fly with more than one full size passenger, this is a great choice. Putting two couples and baggage in most planes quickly turns out to be one of those things where just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
    Most owners find that the back seats in their planes are for kids and pets or bags. Your friends, for many reasons, end up meeting you there.

    If I had a spare half million dollars laying around I'd have a G36

    Very nice aircraft! Came to see it b/c one just crashed outside Victoria, BC, Canada. Thought it might have been a “v-tail” but, no, much nicer model.

    Beechcraft What do you think about the new Lycoming iE2 engine (YTEO-540-B1A) in your Bonanzas/Barons?

    this is not the best option for a ga plane but my god it looks like a ww2 plane, its just beautiful

      The core design is a museum piece from 1949! That it can still hold its own is a credit to all involved.

      What would you consider the best option for this mission (serious question)?

      To me, the Bonanzas are one of the most beautiful single engine plane ever build, they're so great looking.

    0:39 or you could get a baron and go a lot faster and safer

      Yes, and have to overhaul 2 engines and replace 2 props instead of 1 at TBO. :p

    • @patriotsfan1236
      @patriotsfan1236 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      VelocitySim and waste another 15 gph and over haul another engine for 20 more knots.......... it's wasteful and extremely inefficient.

    • @P_RoC45
      @P_RoC45 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harry Harkins You’d be praying you had 2 engines if your single engine failed...

    • @patriotsfan1236
      @patriotsfan1236 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pete Hadaya true. but it's unlikely if you know the airplane and maintane it. Alot of people don't do that just oil change etc..... Statistically in a single engine you are more likely to starve it from getting fuel ( left or right tank.) Or running out sadly

    • @patriotsfan1236
      @patriotsfan1236 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pete Hadaya but don't get me wrong if I had money for a new g36 I would look for a older Baron and spend the rest on fuel. But remember it's going to cost 150,00 in fuel over the life of the engine. Then another 45-50 to overhaul it. 200,000 you could get a 1982ish a36 bonanza with a good panel.

    Only 750 nm.and acost of 750 grand wow expensive.buy a cessna 4 seater with 1360 nm range far less.

      +Daniele Pelaia Beechcraft is owned by Cessna. But your point is stupid. The 172 can cruise for a longer endurance but will do so at a much slower rate. It also will not climb as fast, handle density altitude as well, nor plow through headwinds as well as a the more aerodynamic and powerful Bonanza. The Bonanza also has a much higher useful load so you can actually take 4 people and full baggage, which you cannot do with a 172. Both are great aircraft, but there is a reason why the Bonanza cost more money than a 172. It can do more and requires a complex and high performance endorsement to fly.

      Yeah... you mean a Cessna that can't carry jack once you fill the tanks? Unless you're talking about the 206 (awesome hauler) you're basically talking about 2 and 4 seat aircraft, no matter how many seats are actually in the plane, if you're wanting to really travel cross country without stopping for gas over and over again. These piston engines need to be put out to pasture. Underpowered, unreliable, and too heavy.

    • @likeawhispr
      @likeawhispr 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      REGGIN RETNUH "appropriately powered"... meaning low-powed and barely adequate, until you run into adverse conditions or trouble. Pistons are for the birds. Too bad modern tech hasn't found an affordable (relative word) solution to the outmoded piston engine.

    Too expensive. Hell all new aircraft’s are expensive. Just buy a used one. Make sure you have a trusted mechanic to look at it before buying it though.

    G1000 panel is just nonsense, its 150lbs of extra dead weight. TIS system is so delayed its a joke. Go back to top quality steam gauges combined with Foreflight and you have a super machine again. Amazing how Garmin has blown so much smoke up everyone's butt convincing the industry that this is better.

      @TLO129 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Considering the G36 entered service in 2006, and Buddy Holly died in 1959, the g36 is not what you’re looking for. What it correct, is a V-Tail 1947 model B-36.
