In June 1975 I saw The Heywoods at Magic Mountain Amusement Park (now Six Flags California) in Valencia (now Santa Clarita), California. It was my first concert. They were outstanding and tight as a unit. The only drawback to the show was they performed only cover versions. Their single spent two weeks in 1974 at the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Listen to the lyrics. It's an anti-war song that fits the zeitgeist of the early to mid-1970s.
The one thing I didn’t like about the Pina Colada song, is that it quite cheerfully talks about cheating your partner as if that is a good and funny thing.
No afternoon delight with sky rockets in flight.
You forgot The Bay City Rollers

The worst band of the 70s was The Starland Vocal Band
I love "Love Grows".
These bands are way better than the Crap thats spues out of most bands today

Damn, I love Genesis and Phil Collins
I like HIM by Rupert Holmes
Any band that played Disco
Holmes gets MUCH more flak for writing (not performing) "Timothy" back in the early 70s. One's an annoying love song, the other is about cannibalism..
Yeah, those are bad.
I thought the heywood were american
