Currently playing it and having a blast! Yes, it is less complex than Grim Dawn or PoE. But the combat is very satisfying and powerful. The dark atmosphere and the graphics are beautiful. To be honest, for 3 € this is a steal!
Slayer Edition is the best version it comes with everything, and despite its critics I've put a stupid amount of hours into it, I so wish it would appear on the Switch, because I've got it on my PS4 and PS5 I love the end game in this, and there are some pretty awesome modes in this, the Tower of Chaos mode is dangerously addictive

Bought it on CDKEYS for £1.29 Slayer edition with all the DLC, considering how big this game is and good AARPGS are rare, this is easily a must own bargin buy, hopefully there is a mod or they have fixed issues with the multiplayer now. I paid for the ultimate edition in Diablo IV and I even never wanted to touch the season or to play again. In this game payed 40 bucks on steam and I don't regret. In Diablo 4 i was simply done when I reached max level. In Chaosbane I will play EVERY character to max level and beyond (set items etc.). The game feels GREAT! Animations are fine, the combat is really fast and feels responsive to me. It's simply fun to slay masses of monsters haha!

So, I just reinstalled to figure this out. By default the game seems to be offline. All the footage you see is from offline play. There is no mention to any servers, or any ping. You can make a game public, or join public games (good luck finding one), but you have to select that in the main menu. So yes, the game is offline.
Same here. Just trying out the genre through Warhammer. To my best knowledge, Diablo is the King of isometric ARPG, are there any real competitor that i may play on PS (better if it is cheap or avaliable on PSPlus.

Yeah Steam deck works perfectly for me - no issues at all. One caveat, I had to select Proton 7.0.6 to get the controller working on Chaosbane. I find that a lot of "unsupported" games work just fine. In fact, most of my games are able to run on the steam deck with little to no tinkering.
I wonder how many people saying something feels like a mobile game, actually play mobile games. Last epoch is a better game, but if you're ever bored of that, and this is on sale, spend the 3 bucks. It is a fun game in its own right
Diablo 2 collection has 2 and 3 with all dlc for less than $20 far, far superior than buying wolcen which cost more. Diablo 3 is freaking insane how much content it has been playing for 3 days straight no where in sight near finishing and have soooo much to do.
I played the campaign 2.5 years ago and it was fine. I just returned and will pick up where I left off and play endgame. It's nothing special but for how cheap it can be on sale, it's well worth the money and time if you find the right class for you.

i tried this in 2020 for $20aud... it was horrible, i played 30 mins and couldnt stand it and got the refund. its $4.30aud now... i'll give it another go, at that price even if it sucks again, its another game on the list that might come in handy at some point in the future.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Probably the worst ARPG I've played. I bought this game on a recent sale on PS5 and I've got to say that I regret buying because most people said it's not bad. Even buggy mess of Titan Quest on PS4 is better than this because it was originally made with passion. First of all loot sucks. And that's where you stop reading and remove it from the cart. I'd also like to add that voice acting is horrendous, especially Elessa the elf. Did they go to Oblivion's school of voice acting and gave voice lines to read and record out of context or what? Even then it sounds like overreacting. Still on my first playthrough and if other characters also sound this bad I'll just skip all the dialogs because I don't know if I should laugh or cringe every time I hear her speak. Also I keep getting fragments and gold but can't use it anyway. I assume it's for later but it should allow you to use it already if enemies keep dropping them. Plus skills are all over the place with balancing, like a lot of upgraded levels just add slow/poison/a bit more damage but also remove it at the next tier. Also enemies sometimes run around player character instead of just attacking, like what are they doing? Plus story so far sucks, PS5 version's use of adaptive triggers is just bad (when fighting triggers intensity is strong all the time but it immediately goes off when talking or viewing inventory which is just annoying). And you of course have some fan gear or skills which I assume are just microtransactions in a full priced game. And now I'll have to beat this game 6 times because I'm a stupid trophy person. This is gonna take a while.

Since my original comment I've platinumed the game and I can say that: - it's definitely not balanced (Witch Hunter is OP compared to everyone else for example) - it's full of bugs (playing as Slayer causes graphical glitches all over the screen, boss fights sometimes are stuck in black screen during which you can still play) - it lacks content (no map variety, no loot variety until you're max level, no enemy variety, no side quests) - its story sucks - its endgame is boring and repetitive. I liked the graphics and the story movies but those are the things I care the least about.

Then I started working 12 hour days and started a family and I never had a chance to sir at my PC; let alone dump thousands into it to keep it up to date. A console however adds a lot of convenience for shorter bursts. This whole age old war of PC master race is getting old dude.

Yes, that is my experience as well. Most games run just fine. ARPGs though, due to their complexity, not so much.
