for anyone who is about to play this game please know this one very very important thing about tarot cards, DO NOT UPGRADE THEM. some cards are significantly more important than others, as a result you want these to level up. the only way to make this happen is if the card you want is the only acceptable drop. you create this scenario by capping out on the collected cards on every other type of card then only updating ONE CARD at a time. this forced every card drop to be that card, which means you can upgrade it fast. if you upgrade all cards as you can then you screw yourself and increase grind by like 100 hours. first max out the +card drop card, then pick one at a time.

I came across 'Martyr' about 3 1/2 years ago, while stuck at the hospital for surgery. I was bored & looking for a good Sci-Fi ARPG, they are actually quite rare. 'Martyr' came up on my search & though I have been aware of the W40k franchise since it came out in the late 1980's, I never bit on it for some reason. So, with that tiny bit of awareness, I picked the game up. 1886.2Hrs later, I can safely say that I have enjoyed my time with it, Immensely. ^_^ Now, at 53, I've been struggling with Chronic Pain due to inoperable spinal damage for over 30 years. Any Videogame that can, for periods, immerse me enough to reduce my pain to some degree, is the highest praise I can give. These guys did a fantastic job both playably, mechanically & literarily.
Sorry to hear about your unfortunate condition, but I'm glad you've gotten into the franchise as we always are happy to welcome newcomers into the fold! I'm not sure if you're much of a reader, but the books are another great way to enjoy the world. The 'Caiphus Cain' series I would highly recommend if you enjoyed the story of Martyr. They are written from the perspective of Caiphus Cain, a commissar of the Imperial Guard and hero to the Imperium, and play out as kind of detective novels with some humor sprinkled in there about how the Imperium is actually ran. 10/10 ✌️
@@mikehawk8984 I've been a huge Nerd and avid reader since I was a kid. The last decade or so it has been too hard for me to read regularly, so I use audiobooks more often than not. Over the last 3ish years I've gone through a bunch of 40k stories. The 'Eisenhorn' series, a number of scattered short stories & about 30 books of the 'Horus Heresy' Yeesh! THAT saga is almost TOO big. ^_^

It’s a complete game/grind. Yes, it can get samish. But the solution for that is just to switch weapons, of which you will be drowning in. They all useful and satisfying in their own way.
I was an early backer for this game. I bought it when it was early access to fill the void Diablo 3 made. Recently while being monetarily fleeced in Diablo 4, I got annoyed and started reading The "Night Lords" again. I remembered this game and went back. It is SOOOOOO good!!! I started a new game, named my Character "Talos Night Hunter" (I know he's Chaos But IDC) and am having a blast. This game is so much better than D4 IMO. However POE is still superior in some ways. Hard recommend for 40K and ARPG fan's from me. I'm a nobody. Just some random guy on the internet!

Played this game for the last year and was very intrigued. By the fact alone that this plays like no other ARPG, I would suggest it to fans of the genre. And knowing nothing about the Warhammer 40k series, the story was still SUPER interesting, and had me interested up and until the end! Highly suggest this one!
I was on the fence with this game as I have a lot of loot driven ARPGs to play in my backlog. Hearing that it's very different from the rest of the genre is probably helping me decide to pull the trigger on it. Thank you.

Something tangential about this game: It feels really good on a controller. Unless you absolutely can't stand to use a controller at PC, or don't have one, I'd seriously recommend trying it out and seeing how it feels. Movement on controller, in particular, feels a lot better.
It plays well on a controller, I did try that indeed. The only thing I didn't like, was that you can't swap between mouse and keyboard, for inventory management, and controller for gameplay. You can in games like Last Epoch. That is a shame imo

I bought this one near release. Had a good time with campaign, but I eventually bogged down on the Starmap. I think that might have been the only endgame at the time. It looking really great right now with the DLC and the fleshing-out of other systems. There's a ton of depth in this one!
If you played the Game before the Release of Prophecy you might be surprised how much the Game has changed. With the Release of Prophecy the Game was overhauled. The Game is much better after the overhaul.
The starmap can be daunting but it's easy to progress campaigns. The difficult part is when your high level and there is a point where finding a challenge is well challenging. Then you find the challenge and holy shit lol.
I've rediscovered Martyr a month ago amongst my PS4 Pro games. It's great fun, so many weapons and tools to discover, a vast fighting universe and a great story
Also, for anyone having problems with Psykers when he played before, they were fixed roughly july 2022 (half of their runes for their skills didnt work at all) after I bugged someone for long enough in the official discord to look into. Amazing flow and really strong now. Although the Sororitas is just as fun. Edit: Also, if anyone is starting it up, unless you want to roleplay hard, just go Puritan, the perks are so much better and useful in any build.
This is an awesome game for WH40K fans. I got about 300 hours out of it before its game loop starred becoming overly repetitive. I stopped playing recently during the current season. Great for 40K fans and so/so for arpg fans. It doesn't really innovate upon anything but it does feel different than most arpgs. There is a cover mechanic but you will never use it.
Couldn't agree more . D4 has suddenly become instead of a daily thing, is now once a week , it takes a little while but you do find d4 is shallow boring , and a crap grind .
This game was a slap in the face at launch. It is an always online single-player game (mainly). It took me nearly a month to even get to play because the servers wouldn't let me create an account. THEN, you are greeted with generic and long(ish) intro missions to unlock the deck and play multiplayer. FINALLY, my son and I could play some coop!...but then we realized that it's not true couch coop, the other player just has access to a generic guest account. On top of all of this, the game crashed/disconnected regularly. We decided to play something else and I was out $60. A long time went by and we decided to pick up another copy on sale (like $5 for complete edition). A lot of the issues have been fixed and content added. We are having a really fun experience once you get to the endgame, made even better with online coop. Not many games out there where I can be a jumping space bunny (Assassin) exploding all enemies around me into a blood mist!
Glad to hear the game finally lived up to expectations. I played at launch as well. Wasn't impressed. But just shelved it. I hardly ever refund a game, in that sense. Especially not indie games like this one. But these days, very solid. And respect to the devs for keeping at it.
I keep Inquisitor around because it's fun to play when I want some WH40k and somewhat mindless ARPG play. Like when I'm done dying in Elden Ring for the day, but still want to play a video game, haha. I don't have the Nuns with Guns DLC yet, though...But a sale will happen on it eventually.
Yesterday I was googling trying to find out where the hell the Sororitas DLC is for consoles. Today this video was in my recommended list. It's all good though, you did a thorough job of covering all the important systems.
I came back to this late last week on a whim and I've already levelled a new 'seasonal' character as far as my older one; as an utter noob in ARPG I'm really enjoying this first return to the game and predict I'll be in and out of it for a long time to come. I've been in and out on it on console...now PS5 and it's been a pleasant surprise....especially the maps and details. Right now, only gripe I have is the new class came out last November for PC but has yet been released on console. I've played all four characters...really fun...but not having the new one yet is a let down.

I saw that you like necro builds in one of your other videos. I think they call it the adeptus mechanicus or something in this game (its been a while since I played). I found it to be one of the better minions classes as you can choose what and how many of each different machine follower you want and each one is customizable. Its actually a bit like Wolcen, but the medications come from modules (items) so you can go nuts getting super over the top modules that you then craft the heck out of (unlike Wolcen with its garbage crafting).

I got this game when it was on sale , I have all dlcs - which again where on sale . I have not got the new dlc yet - waiting on sale 😊but there is so much to do in the game , I feel the replay ability is great . I urge anyone on the fence about buying it , to buy it , if not when on sale . In all a really worth while purchase .only issue is there doesnt seem to be any players or servers online . Xbox one here .
Absolutely. It's solid, and as I think this vid did a good job of showing, there are a ton of customization systems to really make a unique character. Plus it goes on sale all the time.

I’ve been having so much fun on this game. I got burned out on Diablo 4 and the lack of rewarding gameplay. The new season has been pretty mediocre. Now I just need to get my wife to play this one with me.
Man this is the people who made van Helsing, their resume is beyond impressive. If you ever played top a down action game and have a brain this is must play instantly.

Oh, the game was not out when you made this review, but I have discovered something interesting- The new W40k game, "Rogue Trader" is the FIRST cRPG ever made in the W40k universe. Like 'Martyr', Owlcat did a masterful job. Now, though the games couldn't be more different mechanically (Rogue Trader is a Turn-Based, slow-moving game.) They actually fit together very well, both conceptually and in terms of background/Setting. In 'Martyr', your character is a Inquisitor who hijacks a powerful Rogue Trader, to do your bidding. In 'Rogue Trader', you play a Rogue Trader who has an Inquisitor hijack YOU (essentially.) So yes, though they couldn't be more different mechanically, they actually synergize beautifully. Both games also do a great job of showing you how much power (lots for both!) each position holds in W40k. Play them, see if you don't agree.

Just a quick thing I wanted to ask (and sorry if this is a stupid question) BUT: In your video, the camera seems 100% competely locked to your character. The moment that you move, the camera is right there with you. Its smooth and it follows instantly. This is the same experience that I have currently with Diablo 4. The thing is, I've tried playing Inquisitor Martyr on my PS5 and its just AWFUL in terms of movement. I move my character and then the camera takes time to react and lags behind. Its gives the whole game this floaty weird feeling that makes it feel like its running at 20fps. At the same time, theres screen tearing and lots of stuttering. My question is, is there a camera option to lock it solid on your character? OR is that just how the PC version works? (as in, properly). Any info on that would be great, cheers.
I'm really unsure, but a camera locking to your character in a hack n slash isometric arpg like this one, is the default setting. Has been since diablo released, the first one, as far as I know. The only thing I can imagine if another stick on the controller somehow moves the screen around. Martyr does have a feature where you can turn around the camera, but I never touched that in the settings. Also, it is likely PS5 has different settings than the pc version, and I'm only playing games on pc. Maybe a google search can help you out? Surely more ps5 users have the same issue

I actually have a video on my channel that I made (back when I was producing videos) and in the gameplay you can kinda see what I mean. The camera lags behind a bit, like my character can move a little bit without the camera reacting, then it kinda catches up. Ive looked through all the settings but cant change anything. I tried playing it again today and its just horrible, makes me feel so sick when playing. So sad, as I just dont like playing games on a PC.
I don't see it being mentioned by reviewers but this game is always online. If you have spotty Internet you won't be able to play this game. I bought it wanting to play an offline experience but then my internet went out temporarily and i was kicked out of character creator.
@@ThywormIt's just a matter of clarification as information on the game is pretty limited due to how little interest the game got. It's a deal breaker for a lot of people so saying it right off the bat helps them.

Played on ps5 Does a lot of things right for an arpg. I found the campaign too long and boring though. Combat feels really good and itemization is solid with lots of depth
Haha we had the same exact build for the most part. While I tried alot of the builds, the hand flamer & brazier AOE DOT dmg build was too fun. It's great to incinerate the Emperor's enemies with phosphorus, Salamander style 😂😂

I tried the game already and did not like how you need to rotate the camera constantly. It was really annoying me to a degree that I stopped and got stomped around lv40 by everything but maybe I will give it a shot again if I can figure out how to navigate with the camera
I struggle with this game because I don't usually play top-down RPGs and guy advised me that "Diablo4 is about 4 times as good as Martyr" but to me the world of 40K is 40 times more enthralling and the artwork here is just beautiful. I play at 4K on XSX (which i believe is very comparable to a 2080) with VRR and it's butter smooth and claims to be 60hz. But I am always stopping to stare at details and my fantasy is that i could snap my fingers and make the game 3rd person then snap them again for 1st person and I wouldn't mind if the textures appear rough up close or if big draw distances were fogged. I really, really love the music, the script and voice acting are great and I LOVE the look and the lore but I always want to get closer, to dive in to it. I hope I can just get used to my view hovering way above it. I'm used to the style of all of it's mechanics from 1st person RPGs but It's kind of torture to play so far, like the workd is right there but I can't reach it and I have to stay 50 feet away all the time. Since top-down isometric views was a technique used to enable 20 year old hardware to display richly detailed worlds, I believe there's no need for it with modern power and wish these guys had put all of their beautiful work in to 3rd or 1st person. But ill keep trying to get used to it.
@@MrMightyZ I just picked up the first Gaunts Ghosts novel and first Night Lords novel. I just discovered the deep lore of this series and I'm ready to dive in head first. BOLTGUN was my first foray into Warhammer and Inquisitor is a worthy second IMO
@@DiZ_490 I would agree and insofar as it is about future space wars against aliens, it is to me the most unique and epic universe, I heard someone call it "horrificly beautiful" and that sounds fair. Such a meaty lore. The games are improving and Henry Cavill is a staunch adherent to the lore so his new movie and TV shows have real potential and the more who buy in to it, the more games we'll get. It's a good time for 40K and the next 10 years could contain lots of 40K goodness 🤞 🤞

Very underated game. When it came out it had to compete with Path of Exile, and Games Workshop keeps Warhammer close to the chest and does not spend any money showing this game off.
Love the game, but I did not get the sororitas dlc.. hopefully they make a part 2, but without tieing the abilities to the weapons. Their Arthur turn based game was very mediocre, and I didnt even finish it..
I didnt play the Arthur game, but I know what you mean. I can imagine them making a second part, or maybe just a different part of that universe. The game seems solid enough, and people still play it.
I reinstall for the new season and tried Battle Angel which is pretty cool but looks a little bit similar to the crusader(they have some same weapons) 🤨
I played this game a lot and had a fair bit of fun with the campaign. But the end game was just....not fun and overly complicated. The psalm system gave me migraine, and I have to open a wiki page right next to the game in order to make sense out of it. The pace of leveling is also just down right atrocious in how slow it was... I bought it on sales so I cannot complain too much, but I only had fun with the campaign and could not be bothered to grind for a min/max build at all.
I thought the psalms were actually kind if fun to figure out, but yes, if you expect all info to be included in the game, it isnt great. But I play Last Epoch and PoE, so I'm used to it, and in many ARPGs you would use outside resources, especially for crafting recipes. You can increase XP by picking certain tarot cards. But I agree, after level 80 or so it is really slow
@@Thyworm I really dislike games that force you to refer to info outside. It's just a symptoms of overly complicated mechanic, or simply bad game design. And yes I used all the XP tarot cards but it became a real slog rather quickly. I almost hit 80 on 1 char and decided to give up. It also killed my mood to try any other classes knowing the amount of grind and pain I had to go through again. A shame really.
The Grey Knights are Astartes though, they would have to be OP compared to the other classes. The other classes are technically closer to true humans than the Astartes.
@@boosterprime5757 Not that the devs care much about lore accuracy. You play as an Inquisitor and mow down chaos marines without batting an eye and even solo dreadnoughts and other chaos engines. So yeah, might as well have our fun with GK 😅
i want grey knights too but its sadly just wont happen, im using a crusader with a thunder of authority build to roleplay being a grey knight. the problem is grey knights would essentially be a hybrid build of the crusader/pysker. theres limited scope for a unique character identity because grey knights embody a bit of all the the current character classes bar the tech priest

Arpg's are best played with a controller imo. Inventory management is worse. But moment to moment gameplay is much more fun.

If you played the Game before the Release of Prophecy you might be surprised how much the Game has changed. With the Release of Prophecy the Game was overhauled. The Game is much better after the overhaul.

The starmap can be daunting but it's easy to progress campaigns. The difficult part is when your high level and there is a point where finding a challenge is well challenging. Then you find the challenge and holy shit lol.

I've rediscovered Martyr a month ago amongst my PS4 Pro games. It's great fun, so many weapons and tools to discover, a vast fighting universe and a great story

Also, for anyone having problems with Psykers when he played before, they were fixed roughly july 2022 (half of their runes for their skills didnt work at all) after I bugged someone for long enough in the official discord to look into. Amazing flow and really strong now. Although the Sororitas is just as fun.
Edit: Also, if anyone is starting it up, unless you want to roleplay hard, just go Puritan, the perks are so much better and useful in any build.
This is an awesome game for WH40K fans. I got about 300 hours out of it before its game loop starred becoming overly repetitive. I stopped playing recently during the current season. Great for 40K fans and so/so for arpg fans. It doesn't really innovate upon anything but it does feel different than most arpgs. There is a cover mechanic but you will never use it.

Just bought this for $9.99 on Steam and I’m loving it. I needed a break from Diablo 4 and was looking for a new arpg, this definitely filled the void
Couldn't agree more . D4 has suddenly become instead of a daily thing, is now once a week , it takes a little while but you do find d4 is shallow boring , and a crap grind .
This game was a slap in the face at launch. It is an always online single-player game (mainly). It took me nearly a month to even get to play because the servers wouldn't let me create an account. THEN, you are greeted with generic and long(ish) intro missions to unlock the deck and play multiplayer. FINALLY, my son and I could play some coop!...but then we realized that it's not true couch coop, the other player just has access to a generic guest account. On top of all of this, the game crashed/disconnected regularly. We decided to play something else and I was out $60.
A long time went by and we decided to pick up another copy on sale (like $5 for complete edition). A lot of the issues have been fixed and content added. We are having a really fun experience once you get to the endgame, made even better with online coop.
Not many games out there where I can be a jumping space bunny (Assassin) exploding all enemies around me into a blood mist!
Glad to hear the game finally lived up to expectations. I played at launch as well. Wasn't impressed. But just shelved it. I hardly ever refund a game, in that sense. Especially not indie games like this one. But these days, very solid. And respect to the devs for keeping at it.
Honestly this is one of my favorite games. I am a huge 40k nerd and I love the loop of diablo, so it was like crack for me.

I keep Inquisitor around because it's fun to play when I want some WH40k and somewhat mindless ARPG play.

I've been in and out on it on console...now PS5 and it's been a pleasant surprise....especially the maps and details. Right now, only gripe I have is the new class came out last November for PC but has yet been released on console. I've played all four characters...really fun...but not having the new one yet is a let down.

@@Thyworm ill let you into a little secret..im what's called unique viewer, I do not sub to you or have I watched your content before, I made the same video 7 months ago and the backend analytics pointed to unique views also. To work out how much of your 'audience' (Subbers) views your content, just drill down on the views page...its always healthy to get engagement out of your normal sphere...you gotta expand some how ! good luck sir...
I saw that you like necro builds in one of your other videos. I think they call it the adeptus mechanicus or something in this game (its been a while since I played). I found it to be one of the better minions classes as you can choose what and how many of each different machine follower you want and each one is customizable. Its actually a bit like Wolcen, but the medications come from modules (items) so you can go nuts getting super over the top modules that you then craft the heck out of (unlike Wolcen with its garbage crafting).
I played that actually, i have the prophecy DLC. Minions are fun in this game as well, very true

I got this game when it was on sale , I have all dlcs - which again where on sale . I have not got the new dlc yet - waiting on sale 😊but there is so much to do in the game , I feel the replay ability is great . I urge anyone on the fence about buying it , to buy it , if not when on sale . In all a really worth while purchase .only issue is there doesnt seem to be any players or servers online . Xbox one here .

Just started playing on PS5 and loving it. It feels very satisfying blasting away hordes of bad guys. I haven't got into crafting yet.

Oh, the game was not out when you made this review, but I have discovered something interesting-
The new W40k game, "Rogue Trader" is the FIRST cRPG ever made in the W40k universe. Like 'Martyr', Owlcat did a masterful job. Now, though the games couldn't be more different mechanically (Rogue Trader is a Turn-Based, slow-moving game.)
They actually fit together very well, both conceptually and in terms of background/Setting. In 'Martyr', your character is a Inquisitor who hijacks a powerful Rogue Trader, to do your bidding. In 'Rogue Trader', you play a Rogue Trader who has an Inquisitor hijack YOU (essentially.)
So yes, though they couldn't be more different mechanically, they actually synergize beautifully. Both games also do a great job of showing you how much power (lots for both!) each position holds in W40k. Play them, see if you don't agree.
Wasn't chaosgate daemonhunters a sort of crpg as well? That game also received fairly good reviews

Just a quick thing I wanted to ask (and sorry if this is a stupid question) BUT: In your video, the camera seems 100% competely locked to your character. The moment that you move, the camera is right there with you. Its smooth and it follows instantly. This is the same experience that I have currently with Diablo 4. The thing is, I've tried playing Inquisitor Martyr on my PS5 and its just AWFUL in terms of movement. I move my character and then the camera takes time to react and lags behind. Its gives the whole game this floaty weird feeling that makes it feel like its running at 20fps. At the same time, theres screen tearing and lots of stuttering. My question is, is there a camera option to lock it solid on your character? OR is that just how the PC version works? (as in, properly). Any info on that would be great, cheers.
I'm really unsure, but a camera locking to your character in a hack n slash isometric arpg like this one, is the default setting. Has been since diablo released, the first one, as far as I know.
The only thing I can imagine if another stick on the controller somehow moves the screen around. Martyr does have a feature where you can turn around the camera, but I never touched that in the settings.
Also, it is likely PS5 has different settings than the pc version, and I'm only playing games on pc.
Maybe a google search can help you out? Surely more ps5 users have the same issue
@@Thyworm hey there, thanks for the reply. I have checked around but I can barely find any one else talking about it. I actually have a video on my channel that I made (back when I was producing videos) and in the gameplay you can kinda see what I mean. The camera lags behind a bit, like my character can move a little bit without the camera reacting, then it kinda catches up. Ive looked through all the settings but cant change anything. I tried playing it again today and its just horrible, makes me feel so sick when playing. So sad, as I just dont like playing games on a PC.
It is just a very weird issue. Haven't heard anyone talk about it either, and quite a few people in the comments play this

I don't see it being mentioned by reviewers but this game is always online. If you have spotty Internet you won't be able to play this game. I bought it wanting to play an offline experience but then my internet went out temporarily and i was kicked out of character creator.
Ye, but with seasonal content you can make an argument for that. I don't consider it a big issue. It is like PoE in that sense.

Haha we had the same exact build for the most part. While I tried alot of the builds, the hand flamer & brazier AOE DOT dmg build was too fun. It's great to incinerate the Emperor's enemies with phosphorus, Salamander style 😂😂

I tried the game already and did not like how you need to rotate the camera constantly. It was really annoying me to a degree that I stopped and got stomped around lv40 by everything but maybe I will give it a shot again if I can figure out how to navigate with the camera
I can see that. The game kind of expects you to work with that. Are you playing with mouse and keyboard? I didn't think it was an issue with that

I struggle with this game because I don't usually play top-down RPGs and guy advised me that "Diablo4 is about 4 times as good as Martyr" but to me the world of 40K is 40 times more enthralling and the artwork here is just beautiful.
I play at 4K on XSX (which i believe is very comparable to a 2080) with VRR and it's butter smooth and claims to be 60hz.
But I am always stopping to stare at details and my fantasy is that i could snap my fingers and make the game 3rd person then snap them again for 1st person and I wouldn't mind if the textures appear rough up close or if big draw distances were fogged.
I really, really love the music, the script and voice acting are great and I LOVE the look and the lore but I always want to get closer, to dive in to it. I hope I can just get used to my view hovering way above it.
I'm used to the style of all of it's mechanics from 1st person RPGs but It's kind of torture to play so far, like the workd is right there but I can't reach it and I have to stay 50 feet away all the time.
Since top-down isometric views was a technique used to enable 20 year old hardware to display richly detailed worlds, I believe there's no need for it with modern power and wish these guys had put all of their beautiful work in to 3rd or 1st person. But ill keep trying to get used to it.
I picked this game up for 6 dollars and I'm having a way better time with it then that overpriced paperweight people are calling Diablo 4.

@@MrMightyZ I just picked up the first Gaunts Ghosts novel and first Night Lords novel. I just discovered the deep lore of this series and I'm ready to dive in head first. BOLTGUN was my first foray into Warhammer and Inquisitor is a worthy second IMO

The games are improving and Henry Cavill is a staunch adherent to the lore so his new movie and TV shows have real potential and the more who buy in to it, the more games we'll get. It's a good time for 40K and the next 10 years could contain lots of 40K goodness 🤞 🤞

I played this game a lot and had a fair bit of fun with the campaign. But the end game was just....not fun and overly complicated. The psalm system gave me migraine, and I have to open a wiki page right next to the game in order to make sense out of it. The pace of leveling is also just down right atrocious in how slow it was... I bought it on sales so I cannot complain too much, but I only had fun with the campaign and could not be bothered to grind for a min/max build at all.
I thought the psalms were actually kind if fun to figure out, but yes, if you expect all info to be included in the game, it isnt great. But I play Last Epoch and PoE, so I'm used to it, and in many ARPGs you would use outside resources, especially for crafting recipes.
You can increase XP by picking certain tarot cards. But I agree, after level 80 or so it is really slow
@@Thyworm I really dislike games that force you to refer to info outside. It's just a symptoms of overly complicated mechanic, or simply bad game design. And yes I used all the XP tarot cards but it became a real slog rather quickly. I almost hit 80 on 1 char and decided to give up. It also killed my mood to try any other classes knowing the amount of grind and pain I had to go through again. A shame really.
We need grey Knights in this game as a class since they are part of the order militan branch of the inquisition
The Grey Knights are Astartes though, they would have to be OP compared to the other classes. The other classes are technically closer to true humans than the Astartes.

So yeah, might as well have our fun with GK 😅
i want grey knights too but its sadly just wont happen, im using a crusader with a thunder of authority build to roleplay being a grey knight. the problem is grey knights would essentially be a hybrid build of the crusader/pysker. theres limited scope for a unique character identity because grey knights embody a bit of all the the current character classes bar the tech priest
