Yes, but I wouldn't put this Hyundai anywhere near the DS. The Citroën DS didn't rely on luxury image (let's face it, Hyundai has chased up market) The DS' innovation and design did all that magic and more.
I hate this bloody shape . Mercedes have three or four of their electronic vehicles like that and I really don't know why you do not not criticise about the design ? This kind of designs are simply disgraceful. Moreover when they claim this kind of design is SUV !!!! What Mercedes does for EQS and EQE.

You can clearly see where all the overpricing of EVs went...into visual/lipstick thing. Sadly this is who we became as consumers. We only look at visuals, not so much whats "under the hood"

The recuperation paddle don’t work when you are braking, in that way the system don’t have the conditions to engage. I have a ioniq 5 (taxi) and that happens sometimes. Now you know why ;)

I think a better way of describing the issue of digital mirrors is that real mirrors have depth that needs to be focused on while camera's and displays only give a 2D image. Yeah it shows the same thing, but you can't tell distance with a display.
If manufacturers are going to have digital door mirros, then why have the stupid camera where the mirros used to be. The Tesla solution is much better where the camera is in the indicator and then displayed neatly on the main screen. Separate screen on the edge of the dashboards are ugly and appear clutered to me. Its really technology for technology sake. Id be really happy if Tesla removed the optical door mirror and just had the camera output on teh centre swcreen all the time.
So real world range of 420km but if you need to use preconditioning you can't below 20% and you can't charge above 80% without waiting for an hour or more. That means you'd actually on have a usable of about 25% - 80% or 55% of that range available. Your efficiency was also combined city/highway so you'd probably lose another 10% if you were just doing highway so you actually get about 45% of that 420km, or 190km. Travelling at 120km/h means you have to stop for somewhere between 20 minutes and an hour every hour and a half.
LOL, maybe at -30c. Anyone who is going a long distance can charge to 100% and, depending on temp and charger speed, it takes closer to 40 minutes rather than 1 hour or more to go from @6% - 100%. Car and Driver rates the Ioniq 5 AWD at 210 miles at 75 mph. The Ioniq 6 RWD should go significantly farther but we must wait for a real world test.

And even if you still create a leatherette seat the classic way with petroleum base without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is very little in comparison to how much oil is used for other car parts or how much oil is burned for fuel or heating. For example, I’ve had 2018 BMW 340i with the real leather and it was much much better (felt great) than my current 2021 BMW X3 with the sensatec interior… It was my mistake selecting SensaTec with my current car.

There was a guy who loved his squashed VW Beetle with a very low front bumper. He decided to take a road trip to the bank to withdraw all his money, feeling excited to hit the road in his belovet car. As he cruised along the scenic route, he passed by a brand new Hyundai, but he didn't let it get to him. Instead, he cranked up his favorite tunes, rolled down the windows, and enjoyed the feeling of freedom that comes with a road drip. The sun was shining, the wind was in his hair, and the open road was calling his name. He felt alive as he drove his trusty car, remminniscing about all the good times they had shared together. When he arrived at the bank, he withdrew all his money, feeling a sense of acomplishment and satisfaction. Agreed that sometimes the inbord navigation is bad or plane ordinary ,this is why i would always have both on so that i can get the fast charging and my waze on.
After driving this car for past 6 months, many software issues some of which you referred to I.e. automatic doors sometimes works and it just never stops beeping and bonging no matter what settings you use also constantly warning me to take a break. Also the infotainment system is average at best and can be very glitchy and soooo slow. My car has been back to garage 6 times without any improvements! Such a pity as it would be an excellent car…so quite except for constant these intrusive alerts…
Why oh why is there no CLA shooting brake version of this as electric estate cars are what people are clamoring? Two types of vehicles, hopelessly impractical sedans and hopelessly stupid SUVs are pretty much the only car body type I'd avoid if at all possible, and the companies keep showing this trash down our throats? Is it that if people want some cargo space they have to get a hulking, bulky SUV instead of a smaller cross section wagon?
I appreciate Hyundai is taking risks but this is quite ugly in execution. I’m not into the pixel motifs they’re doing either, it looks kinda corny and cheaply done. Hopefully they mature and smooth out these designs over time.

For the size of the car, the boot is way too small. I like the approach but this car is not practical at all.

Depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat is the first misuse case, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you demand it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and harms the environment, you make them more profitable. Alternatively, you could support industries with your wallet which try to improve the sustainability of materials. Also, if you turn the argument around to "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize that it doesn't make sense (and is ethically doubtful) to discuss the priority use of individual body parts of mammals. Mind experiment: You are getting slain down or even murdered on the street; would it matter to you if it was for your smartphone or for your purse?
We cannot change what we have bought in the past, but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
Animal leather always has a PU coating. Non-plastic you ll only get with new technology man-made seats that are coming up.
@@autogefuehl I have stated that based on my experience with having real leather vs. synthetics. For example, I’ve had 2018 BMW 340i with the real leather and it was much much better (felt great) than my current 2021 BMW X3 with the sensatec interior… It was my mistake selecting SensaTec with my current car.

Love the hairdo. Do you need to add another few cm to your height from now on. Thomas height v3.0? Great review, I still would choose my Ioniq 5 due to personal design preference, rear seats, hatch and bigger boot I need. The interior is an improvement in quality over the HI5.

After driving this car for past 6 months, many software issues some of which you referred to I.e. automatic doors sometimes works and it just never stops beeping and bonging no matter what settings you use also constantly warning me to take a break. Also the infotainment system is average at best and can be very glitchy and soooo slow. My car has been back to garage 6 times without any improvements! Such a pity as it would be an excellent car…so quite except for constant these intrusive alerts…
Why oh why is there no CLA shooting brake version of this as electric estate cars are what people are clamoring? Two types of vehicles, hopelessly impractical sedans and hopelessly stupid SUVs are pretty much the only car body type I'd avoid if at all possible, and the companies keep showing this trash down our throats? Is it that if people want some cargo space they have to get a hulking, bulky SUV instead of a smaller cross section wagon?

I appreciate Hyundai is taking risks but this is quite ugly in execution. I’m not into the pixel motifs they’re doing either, it looks kinda corny and cheaply done. Hopefully they mature and smooth out these designs over time.
