    The same goes for the word Holy. The Protestants say that only God is holy, and you cannot use words like Holy men, Holy fathers, Holy Theotokos . But Paul and John wrote about the Saints, and they forget that in the Greek language, the language that the books of the New Testament were written, Holy and Saint is one word. Agios.

      I have found debate with Protestants a most arduous task. I cant seem to come up with any other deduction they have itchy ears and suffer greatly from the sin of pride. This sin has never been absolved correctly because they do not go to confession. They all live in a state of grave mortal or venial sins. What are your impressions? I could you some advice. @@KGraceSpeaksKea1335 - Audio Speech Analysis reveals what a person says audibly, along with what the demonic or the Divine has to say within the same audio recording. Think about how a person makes an audio statement and it reveals that the demons agree with the statement being made, we can then factually state that the person is being led by the demonic. It's not usually just a one-off that the demonic agrees with the person because a continuous analysis would reveal that many statements the person makes, the demonic agrees with them. It's 100% accurate and yet it doesn't involve Biblical scripture in order to be factual; after all its not like a Lie Detector Test that consists of a graph.

    Father Peter thanking you for this explanation cause as an Orthodox Christian myself l know that God is our true Father as he is our true creator too. As an ex alterboy/man a priest is alao a Father cause he is teaching the gospel and is our our path to salvation thru Gods way. So he is our spiritual father guiding our souls to the heavenly realms. My earthly papa ( father) is my human flesh father to guide me to a correct Christian life thru their example as well as proper teaching in the loving way thru Christ himself. I'm no priest nor scholar taught but my altar and other earthly orthodoxy experience taught me the true way. I pray to God and Jesus that the Eastern/Western Orthodox church doesn't follow the Catholics heresy way of permitting LGBSTQ into Gods holy house. Be with God and Jesus one and all.

      @@fusion9619 2peter chapter 2, there is no prophecy of Scripture that is subject to private interpretation. Prophecy doesn't only mean telling the future, it also means gaining divine revelation. The context of that epistle was against false teachings, you can get the Bible to say anything if you quotemine it enough, but that always leads to inconsistencies and contradictions. There is nothing in Orthodoxy that contradicts the Bible.

    • @fusion9619
      @fusion9619 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@0utc4st1985 perfect, thank you. When I researched the Orthodox basis for Maryology, I was told of a prophesy in Ezekiel. At that time, I hadn't read Ezekiel, and was very new to being a Christian. Still am, I guess. So I read it, and found the soundest case against Orthodoxy I could imagine. The whole book rails against idolatry. The verse in question definitely had nothing to do with Mary. So what happened? Some human being within the Orthodox church misinterpreted Ezekiel to support their claims. As for prophesy, there are obviously prophesies which I cannot understand without help - however, there is an established history of the church getting prophecy wrong. The prophesy of the Messiah was misunderstood for something like a thousand years, and then Jesus showed up and taught them the correct way to understand God's law. And it makes perfect sense now, but I can also see how the incorrect understanding of the Messiah (what the modern Jews still think) made perfect sense too, before it actually happened. Very interesting. Thank you for directing me to 2 Peter, ch2.
      Now, I have to say this... _someone_ has to say it... You should run like mad from anyone telling you not to read the Bible. It exists for a reason. If your church leaders are telling you that you aren't smart enough or divine enough or special enough to understand what God preserved for your benefit, then these people are not men of God. That would make them the false prophets we've been warned against. If that's what's going on. It sounds like it to me.

    The degree of rationalization in this is preposterous. "I didn't actually kill him. I just stabbed him in the heart. He died of cardiac arrest." I think it's better to just say, honestly, "yes it's a contradiction". By the way, I'm Orthodox, by birth and not converted. The title *is* the relationship. Thar's what having a "spiritual father" who calls you "son" and whom you obey is all about. This tradition is largely practices in all Orthodox countries, we don't go to the priest just to confess, but to get his advice with all matters of problems. You will undoubtedly see this in the testimonies and books about all the Greek contemporary saints.

    I highly doubt that Timothy ever called Paul a Father. What Paul was saying is that him being the spiritual leader and nurturer (thus father) rather than just being a messenger and a teacher(thus "many teachers").
    It is very different from officially CALLING someone a Father, and it does contradict Jesus' teaching. You don't call no man a father especially because of a religious, spiritual reason, as He was talking about Jewish priests and the Pharisees.
    Putting a sirname as "Father" and systematically forcing people to call an earthly man a father is a direct opposition of Jesus' clear word. Don't distort Lord's clear word with your tradition. Apostles were never called a father by their believers. They were Jews. Jewish teachers would never want the believers to call them a father because it is an abomination. If you only keep it "Apostolic" then all the Christians would go to Apostolic Churches. Apostles were Jews.

      “Father’s” Day… should be relabeled! Parent-“Teacher”conferences…relabel! Since the Lord explicitly declared to “call NO MAN Father…” , this means we are in error when we call our male parent “father”. This is the crudest fundamentalism. I have noticed that Protestants will address Jewish teachers as Rabbi without issue, or address males as Mr., which is technically… master. It should all be discouraged if one is being consistent.
