I have one of these of the 308 variety on the way to install on my M&P10. I needed an adjustable gas block and that gave me the excuse to go ahead and free float the gun at the same time with one of these rails.
Hopefully it all goes together nice and easy.

I know this is in the hands that you were looking for, but I think the Mark 16 is so fucking hideous where the mounting area is. As far as the Daniel Defense I've never played with that one, but my friend has the more expensive ris3 and it cannot be timed to align with the upper (bcm). Also, it's impossible for the top of the rail and the sides to align at the same time because the whole upper rail is like shifed a little bit to the side
