I love these extensive glitch pokemon videos so much, I can't explain why. Something about someone or a group of people coming together to cause absolute shenanigans in their favorite old games is so fun to watch, and sometimes even follow along to if I'm bored! I've gotten into gen 5 RNG manipulation to get some perfect IV shinies, and finding out Manaphy has options for shiny manipulation is BIG news; hopefully this process gets a little bit easier so I could follow along and try one for myself, needing to do all the ACE related steps scared me a little bit ngl 💀

Ironically, the fastest way to get bunearys friendship higher before getting your second badge is to repeatedly kill it in a gym battle At low friendship pokemon get +3 friendship for just challenging a gym leader, and -1 for fainting, for medium friendship its +2, and for high friendship its +1. Its much more reliable than walking because its a 50% chance every 128 steps for a +1. The reason for fainting in the gym battle is so we can challenge the gym again. From catching buneary you would need to challenge the gym 150 times, walk an average of 51200 steps, or level it up over 50 times. I think i would rather challenge the gym lol. Plus youll have the satisfaction of having an abnormally low level lopunny that you can brag evolved before getting your second badge.

The Darkrai and shaymin glitches are vastly different from even when I got mine. When I did the glitches it was not needed to do the ledge advances and the steps were relatively short too, so it was about 15 minutes between start and finish to get to where Darkrai or Shaymin or Arceus were.

I recently did glitzerpopping and pokemon corrupting in emerald to gain access to the event islands for Ho-oh and Lugia, Mew, and deoxys. The glitch sounds complicated, but summarized, all you need to do is; obtain 2 trade pokemon, EV train 1 of them a certain amount (like less than 20 minutes of battles), have a curse user on team, and rename all 14 PC box names to certain names and you are basically done. The glitch allowed me to get a shiny deoxys, completely by accident. I mean, I was shiny hunting it, but it appeared pretty fast and I wasn't ready for a sub 1,000 runaway hunt in emerald of all games. If you are new to doing glitches in pokemon games and have a gen 3 game, I would highly recommend doing this glitch since there is essentially zero chance to harm your save. I think the only thing you could potentially do to mess up is when you get to the step of entering a battle with your whole team fainted, if you scroll up for a significant amount of time more than recommend, you might crash the game, idrk because I got it on my 3rd attempt and nothing in my save was messed up. Just some eggs I had to use the battle tower glitch to remove.
6:26 it's actually less that friendship grinding is exceptionally slow here, but rather that Buneary has a base of 0 friendship whenever received it's the only non-legendary, mythical, ultra beast, or paradox Pokemon to do this most will have 70 friendship at base, and it requires 220 to evolve prior to gen 8
9:36 Silvally’s ability is called RKS System. And the Pokémon only exists as the Aether Foundation tried to recreate Arceus. So that’s some evidence that it could be Are-kay-us. Personally, I like all four Are-sea-us, Are-say-us, Are-kay-us, and Are-key-us being cannon. It fits that the mysterious god has multiple names. And it’s kinda like the Pokémon name, with all of the pronounciations.
Potentially important correction to accidential misinformation in this video btw: while gen 3 games need to be the same language as your gen 4 game to migrate they do NOT need to be the same language for you to find dongle mode encounters such as weedle and kakuna in platinium with leafgreen. I know this 100% first hand as I have a japanese copy of leafgreen and english platinum that I've succesfully used to find them and radar chain

If you used Arbitrary Script Execution for the mystery gift postman, Beware of the move Chatter. not only you won't be able to record a new one, but now it can also be dangerous to the save file if it's used during battle or contests. The same applies if an Enemy Chatot used it as well and some of the content opponents have Chatot that know Chatter.

When I got a JP 1.0.0 Pearl for christmas a few years ago, RETIRE helped me get Darkrai, Shaymin, AND the infinite Arceus setups from surfing on the elite four door into the void. He was super helpful and honestly I don't think I thanked him enough! That being said, I'm 100% going to try ACE in gen 4 now that it's more streamlined. Maybe I won't be getting hundreds of shiny Manaphy, but I will get silly with it.
I’m 28 now, I first played Pokémon Pearl back in 2007 when I was 11. By the time I was 12, the dark void had been discovered - it took 64,000 steps x2 to get shaymin and the same for Darkrai. Arceus was unavailable as nothing had been worked out to get above spear pillar for the encounter. Fast forward now, it’s still being worked on and it seems the possibilities are quite literally endless with what this can achieve. Incredible video & the amount of Kudos to RETIRE & his group for uncovering the depths of the void. Genuinely flabbergasted at how deep this hole of the void is. Watching this video, and more specifically, the void stuff parts had led me to wonder if it's possible to ever free my OG diamond save from being trapped in the top floor of the Pokémon center (with no collision, but the ability to still move), due to my friend messing with an action replay and not doing so carefully like I had warned him to. (for reference I showed him how you could talk to the union room lady form within the counter or behind her and he wanted to try it out, but instead he chose to do it from the side, thus trapping me on the top floor/in the Union Room seemingly forever, only able to leave the union room or comm error back into it using the poketch)
Jeesh. The last time I checked on tweeking, the tutorial was smth along of "wiggle the Dpad here and there in Jubilife". Yes it's been many years, and it's astonishing how far the DP glitching culture has come, even being of influence up until the very recent titles. Buneary has a base Friendship stat of 0 when you catch it whereas every other Non-legendary has a base of 50 or more. That's why it took even longer to evolve than the already slow process

Would that even be possible? What I'd like to do is use this sort of ASE/ACE to generate up to 4 Manaphy eggs that act exactly like the Manaphy eggs from Ranger. This would mean they would each be randomized (not guaranteed to be shiny), they wouldn't show as shiny on the hatch screen, and you can transfer them up to Home immediately after hatching them (no more arbitrary execution required). Would this be possible? I'd like to *hunt* for shiny Manaphy, but I don't have the capital to hunt down a Ranger egg. I think a good amount of people in the shiny hunting community would say the same, and this would help to reduce dependency on the limited supply of Ranger copies.
For anyone wondering this, it is in fact possible: - On the script generator site, select your game's language - Add a command (there should be a sequence of two commands and an end when we're finished) - Make the first command AddTamago - For the first command, change the middle field to Manaphy (not Manaphy Egg) and change the third field to 1001 - Make the second command ChgPokeWaza - For the second command; change the second field to the first open party index at the time of execution (the 6 party indices are numbered 0 to 5, i.e. the second slot of your party would have an index of 1), change the third field to 0x34, and change the fourth field to 0x10 - Make sure the third 'command' is end That should give you the correct dot artist code to run once you have completed the setup 👍
HEY as someone who has done the Darkrai hunt!! I hunted mine in Diamond. As long as its above level 50 and without pursuit itll transfer up. said shiny darkrai is currently on my Violet :)
The steps to execute any Mystery Zone glitch sound like those ridiculous "glitches" people used to post about on forums back in the day to troll. If this wasn't so well-documented, I'd think it was some elaborate, "Mew hiding under the truck" style joke if I saw it posted somewhere.
If you have a copy of Pokémon Ranger 1 (or a "backup") you can use tools to inject a save file with the Manaphy Egg ready to deliver to a Gen IV game. From here you can just RNG the egg like you would any other, just remember to use the second game's TID and not the game you created the Egg on.
I did the old routes back in 2018, and wow they were insane. Over 1 1/2 hours to get to some of the mons. It’s crazy how we only knew the long ways and not the short ways

You should look into how the Arcues void glitch works, it's pretty wild and is almost impossible if not for a feature of PalPark.

Glitches like this have always been terrifying to me ever since I was a kid. I've never been able to work up the nerve to actually try it
I recently did glitzerpopping and pokemon corrupting in emerald to gain access to the event islands for Ho-oh and Lugia, Mew, and deoxys. The glitch sounds complicated, but summarized, all you need to do is; obtain 2 trade pokemon, EV train 1 of them a certain amount (like less than 20 minutes of battles), have a curse user on team, and rename all 14 PC box names to certain names and you are basically done.
The glitch allowed me to get a shiny deoxys, completely by accident. I mean, I was shiny hunting it, but it appeared pretty fast and I wasn't ready for a sub 1,000 runaway hunt in emerald of all games.
If you are new to doing glitches in pokemon games and have a gen 3 game, I would highly recommend doing this glitch since there is essentially zero chance to harm your save. I think the only thing you could potentially do to mess up is when you get to the step of entering a battle with your whole team fainted, if you scroll up for a significant amount of time more than recommend, you might crash the game, idrk because I got it on my 3rd attempt and nothing in my save was messed up. Just some eggs I had to use the battle tower glitch to remove.

Potentially important correction to accidential misinformation in this video btw: while gen 3 games need to be the same language as your gen 4 game to migrate they do NOT need to be the same language for you to find dongle mode encounters such as weedle and kakuna in platinium with leafgreen. I know this 100% first hand as I have a japanese copy of leafgreen and english platinum that I've succesfully used to find them and radar chain

Here's a Warning heads up. If you used Arbitrary Script Execution for the mystery gift postman, Beware of the move Chatter. not only you won't be able to record a new one, but now it can also be dangerous to the save file if it's used during battle or contests. The same applies if an Enemy Chatot used it as well and some of the content opponents have Chatot that know Chatter.
You see, if something like *this* actually works, we shouldn't judge the people who believed in the Pokégods and the "Evolve Lickitung into Luigi" stuff back in the day.

When I got a JP 1.0.0 Pearl for christmas a few years ago, RETIRE helped me get Darkrai, Shaymin, AND the infinite Arceus setups from surfing on the elite four door into the void. He was super helpful and honestly I don't think I thanked him enough!
That being said, I'm 100% going to try ACE in gen 4 now that it's more streamlined. Maybe I won't be getting hundreds of shiny Manaphy, but I will get silly with it.
I’m 28 now, I first played Pokémon Pearl back in 2007 when I was 11. By the time I was 12, the dark void had been discovered - it took 64,000 steps x2 to get shaymin and the same for Darkrai. Arceus was unavailable as nothing had been worked out to get above spear pillar for the encounter.
Fast forward now, it’s still being worked on and it seems the possibilities are quite literally endless with what this can achieve. Incredible video & the amount of Kudos to RETIRE & his group for uncovering the depths of the void.

Watching this video, and more specifically, the void stuff parts had led me to wonder if it's possible to ever free my OG diamond save from being trapped in the top floor of the Pokémon center (with no collision, but the ability to still move), due to my friend messing with an action replay and not doing so carefully like I had warned him to. (for reference I showed him how you could talk to the union room lady form within the counter or behind her and he wanted to try it out, but instead he chose to do it from the side, thus trapping me on the top floor/in the Union Room seemingly forever, only able to leave the union room or comm error back into it using the poketch)
Jeesh. The last time I checked on tweeking, the tutorial was smth along of "wiggle the Dpad here and there in Jubilife". Yes it's been many years, and it's astonishing how far the DP glitching culture has come, even being of influence up until the very recent titles. Somehow I wish I would've entered the community back then to witness the progress... but alas, it's entertaining to watch videos like this without understanding much.

Buneary has a base Friendship stat of 0 when you catch it whereas every other Non-legendary has a base of 50 or more. That's why it took even longer to evolve than the already slow process

What I'd like to do is use this sort of ASE/ACE to generate up to 4 Manaphy eggs that act exactly like the Manaphy eggs from Ranger. This would mean they would each be randomized (not guaranteed to be shiny), they wouldn't show as shiny on the hatch screen, and you can transfer them up to Home immediately after hatching them (no more arbitrary execution required).
Would this be possible? I'd like to *hunt* for shiny Manaphy, but I don't have the capital to hunt down a Ranger egg. I think a good amount of people in the shiny hunting community would say the same, and this would help to reduce dependency on the limited supply of Ranger copies.
For anyone wondering this, it is in fact possible:
- On the script generator site, select your game's language
- Add a command (there should be a sequence of two commands and an end when we're finished)
- Make the first command AddTamago
- For the first command, change the middle field to Manaphy (not Manaphy Egg) and change the third field to 1001
- Make the second command ChgPokeWaza
- For the second command; change the second field to the first open party index at the time of execution (the 6 party indices are numbered 0 to 5, i.e. the second slot of your party would have an index of 1), change the third field to 0x34, and change the fourth field to 0x10
- Make sure the third 'command' is end
That should give you the correct dot artist code to run once you have completed the setup 👍
HEY as someone who has done the Darkrai hunt!! I hunted mine in Diamond. As long as its above level 50 and without pursuit itll transfer up. said shiny darkrai is currently on my Violet :)
The steps to execute any Mystery Zone glitch sound like those ridiculous "glitches" people used to post about on forums back in the day to troll. If this wasn't so well-documented, I'd think it was some elaborate, "Mew hiding under the truck" style joke if I saw it posted somewhere.

If you have a copy of Pokémon Ranger 1 (or a "backup") you can use tools to inject a save file with the Manaphy Egg ready to deliver to a Gen IV game. From here you can just RNG the egg like you would any other, just remember to use the second game's TID and not the game you created the Egg on.
I did the old routes back in 2018, and wow they were insane. Over 1 1/2 hours to get to some of the mons. It’s crazy how we only knew the long ways and not the short ways
