1:44 - 2:03 You reminded me how I got my Wii...and it was the same day Diamond and Pearl came out! Funny (and true) story, on the day DP came out I couldn't find a copy at any stores. An employee at the last store we checked told me that, apparently, the reason was the trucks weren't running that day (stupid reason, I know). I went home disappointed, and my mom started calling different stores to see if they had DP in stock. To our surprise, Toys R' Us did not have it, but they did have Wiis in stock. (Remember, this was April 2007, so getting your hands on a Wii was almost impossible unless you bought it from internet scalpers). Like millions of others, I was so excited about the Wii and wanted it since the day it came out. We rushed to the store and made it in the nick of time; there was one other person waiting on for an employee to bring it from the back, and they had only two in stock. Long story short, I couldn't find DP the day it came out, but I DID find a Wii instead. Thank you for triggering that memory.
this game will always have a special place in my heart I remember going to my dads house he sneaked into the other room and came out and handed pearl to me I played this game for so many hours after beating the game and just run around exploring looking for anything still sad I wasn't able to do the special online stuff for it
I'll never forget the first time I defeated the Elite Four in my origional Pokèmon Diamond playthrough. That day, my faimly was going on vacation to Hilton Head SC. I ended up beating Cynthia during lunch at some sit down resteraunt at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport while waiting for the Delta Connection to our final destination.
My first playthrough of sinnoh I used the walktrough of the channel Super Skarmory! That really takes me back, I didnt even speak english at the time lol
Honestly a really solid guide. I bought the walkthrough books usuaully but for dppt the book so thick that they had TWO, one of for the pre-game walkthrough, and one for post-game and the national dex. I got the post-game book and it served me well over the years. 600 hours in diamond and around 100 in plat and pearl. I think I did fine during my first playthrough but I was too young to remember it. It is a kids game anyways, and I played Silver, Blue, & XD before it.
So much nostalgia, my first Pokemon game (I took Chimchar) and I remember playing it in aftercare every day after school with my friends. No guides or anything back then as 6 year olds just trying to figure out what to do blindly. I remember not knowing how to save the game so I would leave my DS on in my backpack at school hoping it wouldn't die. The music was perfect, the pokemon were great, and team galactic was awesome. Good times!
It sucks D&P are given such a bad rep because platinum. People will shit on d&p yet jerk platinum off when in reality d&p weren't terrible games, they just had some quality of life issues, like slow battles and lack of available fire types. But to completely write them off is wrong.
The QoL generation of players understands nothing about game design. Their opinions are not worth listening to. If you compare DP to what is comparable, other base games, it's one of the best. Only BW are better
