- Mounting pendency of cases from the Supreme Court to the lower courts has Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu worried as he expressed concern on the issue. Naidu also urged the government and the judiciary to ensure faster justice. He was addressing the Platinum Jubilee meet of Dr B.R. Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University on the occasion of its 76th Foundation Day. Naidu underscored the need to make delivery of justice speedier and affordable. Citing adjournment of cases over long periods, he observed that justice was becoming costly and referred to the well-known proverb “justice delayed is justice denied”. In a significant statement, the Vice President remarked that Public Interest Litigations (PILs) should not become private interest litigations for personal, pecuniary and political interests. In this edition of The Big Picture we will analyse the issue of pendency of cases and the role of virtual courts.

Firstly, the way & the manner in which Mr.Malhotra has described, for the moment I thought he is a civil service aspirant😊....he explains very precisely & in a pointwise manner 😊
Secondly, According to my view the problem is not the weeding out the frivolous litigants but to distinguish between genuine & frivolous litigation. Our legal system is such, that for giving justice to one inocent person we let hundreds or thousands of convict go away..I think time has now came to modify some changes to that along with solving other problems as the panelists suggest
These type of quality, you can find only here
Thank you frank sir

Change is invevitable...and we as humans resist change...
It's time to move away with the resistive mindset...and be part of this change...❤️

Dr. B R Ambedkar ... Father of Indians..
संस्कृत is suffering so much because of less scope..
Issues: manpower ,infrastructure, resistance to adopt technologies, frivolous pils etc. Solutions:fillip the vacancies ,improve infrastructure by making judiciary to learn faster from the new developments and world best practices and take optimim benefits from specialized courts, adopt technology along with hybrid model of court ,fines penalty should be imposed on the party of guilt in case of frivolous pil and system should be developed by taking the help of machine learning and AI to reject automatically such pils and address the relevant ones.
Can anyone pls let me know the schedule of this particular discussion..

subhiksha mahendran Piyush Singh sounded more genuine...Mr Deepak is sometimes ideologically tilted
@@studywithsaras yeah, I agree 👍 with you. I like Mr. Sai Deepak's husky voice and his English eloquence. That's why I commented like that. Apologies for being biased 😊
It would have been better if sai deepak was there
Dnt count this year attempt in upsc CSE . # Exam in covid
Just an hunch, the exam will be conducted as per the schedule. It will not be postponed further, it will not be tougher as the aspirants got some extra time and it will be not be easier as well! You will find an opportunity in crisis when you put in that little extra effort. All the best!
VCs are a bane for legal education and acquisition of skills
Indian courts are sluggish.
