    The bezel is held on by 2 7mm screws. Pulling that off (a 30 second job) gives you access to both sides of the hole. Working from both sides (and adding a little tape) you can get a MUCH more secure fit then you can just trying to snap everything into place from the front . With the bezel off, you also don't need the removal tool. Just squeeze the tabs.

    The coat hangers should go into the holes exactly 1.25 inches deep from the faceplate (on a 2003 ranger). I put a mark on the coat hanger wire to gauge the depth. It's a little tricky for sure with a CD player because there is nothing to hold onto to pull the radio out. I measured the 1.25 depth after getting the radio out, finally.

    My factory stereo in my 98 Ranger was just AM?FM with no cassette or cd. In the back it had the antenna plug, 1 wire harness plug and two wires hard wired into the back of the radio. The installation went fine and the new radio works like it should but now when the truck is keyed in accessory or run the dash lights and parking lights are constantly on. Is there something I need to do with the two wires that were hard wired to the factory radio to get my parking lights and dash lights back to normal?

    hi I recently purchased a 2007 ford ranger and wanted to upgrade the stereo unit I purchased a Kenwood kmm-bt332u ordered but there's one cable color orange that doesn't come with the stereo connector is name as a illumination/dash light in the metra kit do you have any idea? or I need to buy a different unit?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's just a illumination / dimmer wire which will dim the radio when the headlights are on. Should work fine with your Kenwood. If your radio doesn't have that wire, just cap it off, it wont be used.
