Great review, there are not many available yet for this model. How about the speakers? Are they any better than what the previous generations offered? Do we finally have loud and balanced sound to the probook (or elitebook 600)? How woud they compare to a recent elitebook 800 (g9, g10, g11)? There may have been a good upgrade, looking to the inside, but the realtek chip remains the same as the previous generations. Also is the missing h265 support something to be concerned about? As I understand the previous models have it and this makes me think that it is only a marketing decision to push the elitebook 800 sales that has the same design for 3 years.
Good point! I am sorry, I totally missed this part from the video. I was shooting and editing this between 1 AM and 3 AM, this video should have been better than the way it came out ☹ With the new Ultra CPU`s the HP and Bang-Olufsen partnership is over, regards of speakers and audio quality. HP has it`s own audio system now called Poly Studio, instead of the “highly regarded” Bang-Olufsen, who designed and tweaked HP systems in the past. It was never super great but at least they had an expert and a real big name on the logo. The size of the speakers are super tiny, I think in this category we will never get quality speakers with decent sound. Dell did the same thing, the laptop I reviews starts at $2k and tops at $8K , it has noname low quality spears in it, I could not believe how they just throw that in and called it “ a premium system” th-cam.com/video/cSMpXZcbfvY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7zgf7_IVodmgTNL4&t=318 Regarding the missing h265 support, I am not concerned Microsoft not even supporting it for W10 & W11 by default, they will ask for $2 extra. Browsers are not supporting; it comes down to patent and license fees if I get this correctly. I use it when I do video editing for YT but I have a dedicated GPU and software for that.
@@Scott.The.IT.Guy. Don't worry, we appreciate your effort in reviewing this laptop and sharing your opinion as fast as you could. I wasn't referring to the names of the "sound systems" but the actual performance as the earlier probooks were not loud or clear and I was hoping that the current gen would match their performance with the elitebooks until their redesign
Very nice review, thanks! What I don't understand so far: what's the difference between 660 and 860? The keyboard seems to be different when looking at pictures. Does anybody know? Thanks.
You are also right about the keyboard, the 860 has a number pad just like the desktop keyboard. I just delivered three 860 a couple days ago for accountants.
Hey, This was not the touch screen version but when you order it for HP for $80 extra you can get the very same screen with the touch option plus that comes with the 5 MP webcam instead the 2 MP.
@@balazskovacs2842 I think this is more like Latitude 5550. The Vostro has the 13 Gen CPU option and it was more affordable before it got discontinued. I was trying to switch between 120Hz VS 60 Hz and did not notice much.
I wood love to, the Chanel however is fully self sponsored. I have to relay on what we order for clients or for myself. Will get into other brands low budget laptops for sure, I would personally love to get one of these and compare to Dell and see how others compare.
It’s a business class laptop, most of these will never run a single game . I have not had a chance to try the i5 ultra 125u cpu , at least you can see what it’s capable or incapable to do regards of gaming. Dota 2 still has about 14.000.000 players/month, Team fortress about 5 million players/ month , Fallout 4 about a million players per month. If you work for an office and have time to play some simple or older games in MP here and there, you can still do it and let some steam off.
Thanks Scott
Thanks!!!
Thanks!
You bet!

Another interesting and insightful video! ... Now go take a nap or otherwise find yourself some rest.
Thank you, I will

Thanks! 660 has a 14” inch screen while the 860 has a 16”

the 660 is also available with 16" and numpad keyboard
Hi Scott, Is this a touch screen display on the HP Elitebook 660 G11?
Hey, This was not the touch screen version but when you order it for HP for $80 extra you can get the very same screen with the touch option plus that comes with the 5 MP webcam instead the 2 MP.
What is the situation with the screen refresh? Is this an 120hz IPS panel?
This was the lowest level screen with a 60 Hz refers rate.
@@Scott.The.IT.Guy. In this case Dell Vostro 15 3530 is a better option.

No backlit keyboard hmmm
It was an $11 option we selected at ordering, HP states that we did not. Somehow it got deselected :(
its crap for gaming!! you play 10 year old games on low-medium barrely and still see some stutters
