windows 10 or 11 should not be allowed to update your bios!!!! if it does this when battery is low and the battery runs flat will brick the laptop. bios updates should be done through the dell update assistant/ dell update software only. dell will show an adapter and tell you to plug in external power while doing a firmware update. wish windows would not do this. as an old school hobbler techie guy, i only tend to do a bios update only when needed. if it aint broke don't fix it, old school i know but its served me well. x your videos are getting better and better, so informative and educational. x i have the vostro 3500, build quality is poor sadly, luckily its my mams and stays on the desk 90% of the time.

I am a huge Louis Rossmann fan and I have been doing my part by fixing things and making them last as long as possible and if they hold no value or benefit to me or anyone in my range, I am happy to pass the opportunity to others.
I feel like with Dell and other manufacturers who allow you to purchase an extended warranty AFTER the original warranty expired for an affordable price, we are pretty good on this topic. I am not in the business of repairing circuit boards or other components so I can’t talk about that. But if you have a $2000 laptop with a failed motherboard and your warranty is out warranty maybe you are looking at a $400-500 bill from Dell just to get a new board. Or you can get an extended warranty for half of that cost and Dell might even send their tech out to your home to make the replacement happen and you are going to be covered for another year or so. What do you think?
