This Peloton Bike+ Plus review is an IN DEPTH guide showing every feature and how they all work!
    Apple Watch: amzn.to/33nGmoy
Call Gerry, Mike, and Jay at 310 - 698 -740four they are they guys who helped explain everything here to us!
This peloton bike+ plus review includes showing how the Apple Gymkit apple watch integration works and connects, and how the new Auto Follow digital resistance feature works. We'll take a closer look at the new larger and rotating 24 inch screen and be sure to stay til the end of this video because I'm going to show you one potentially dangerous design flaw of the new Peloton Bike Plus that could potentially cause significant damage to the rotating screen if you're not aware of this fact! From a distance the first thing you may notice about the brand new peloton bike+ plus is the metallic lettering on the side, but obviously there's a lot more to it than that. As you get closer to the bike you'll probably notice the larger screen, and the additional forward facing speakers instead of just the speakers on the back side of the screen, the handlebar grips are slightly different, and also there's new adjustment knobs for the seat and handlebars. As you begin to take a closer look at the new bike you'll discover the resistance knob on the peloton bike plus looks a bit different and rotates much more easily. And as we get into the software you'll discover the Apple GymKit feature that allows your apple watch to sync up with the peloton bike plus and you'll learn the reason why the resistance knobs turns so easily is because it's no longer a mechanical device, it's now digitally controlled which enables a new feature called Auto Follow digital resistance. Other initial things you may notice are the peloton bike+ plus saddle has a different seat adjustment mechanism that makes moving the seat much nicer, and the new camera has a physical switch that you can slide back and forth to cover the camera if you'd like. So lets take a closer look at all of the features on the new peloton bike plus and see if it's worth spending $2495 on the new model or if the standard model now priced at $1895 is sufficient. Let's take a look at Exactly how the Apple Gymkit Apple watch integration works. The Apple Gymkit feature on the Peloton Bike Plus allows for One touch integration with the peloton bike. But Before the Apple gymkit feature will work you'll first need to make sure the “detect gym equipment option” is enabled in the settings of your phone. Then when you pull up a ride, and when you click the “start button” on the peloton ride you're about to begin you'll be prompted to hold your apple watch up by the peloton logo near the camera to connect it to the bike.Again, you need to have this option enabled on your watch for it to work, so if Apple GymKit isn't working for you make sure you have the “detect gym equipment” option enabled on your phone.Once it's linked up your heartrate monitor on your apple watch will display your heartrate on the peloton bike plus screen. When you click “start ride” on the peloton screen the workout will simultaneously start on your watch as well. And in addition to tracking your heart rate the Apple Gymkit feature on the new peloton bike plus will also track other stats such as mileage and ride time. And after you complete you're workout the stats will appear in your Apple Health App on your phone. So let's take a closer look at the Auto Follow digital resistance feature of the Peloton Bike Plus. For starters, The Peloton software interface has been updated to have a slider bar for resistance changes, and on the new Peloton Bike+ Plus there's a lock icon to the left of the slider bar which you can push to toggle the auto follow digital resistance feature on or off as you see fit. While you're using the Auto Follow feature, you CAN override the resistance that's called out by the instructor simply by turning the resistance knob in either direction, however if you keep auto resistance turned on the manual adjustments you make will only adjust WITHIN the called out range. If you look closely at the auto lock feature you'll notice the auto lock icon has a timer circling it showing how long until the resistance is going to change to the next level. And again, you can toggle the auto follow digital resistance on or off at any time. The new peloton bike plus has upgraded the original adjustment levers for the handle bars and seat, with these soft touch and easy to turn knobs to adjust the handle bars up and down as well as adjusting the seat up and down. The saddle can be move forward and backwards on the new peloton bike+ plus by using this quick release lever.Unfortunately the peloton bike plus does not have an adjustment to allow the handlebars to move forward or backwards, which is the same case for the standard peloton bike.

I have been using a Tomahawk spinning bike for over ten years. Then, it was their flagship model and it's still working as new and looks new too. It has an adjustable handlebar, height and lateral adjustment. I use the bike myself, and once set, have never changed it since. I don't know if the lack of lateral adjustment with the new Peloton is a game stopper, what I do know however is the thought of being motivated by an online trainer is very appealing, instead of motivating myself ;-) Good vid, thank you 👍

Purchased the Bike Plus back in June 2021. For the past couple of months I’ve been experiencing pedal crank noise & wobbly handlebar issues. I contacted Peleton tech support, sent them uploaded videos and I was told that replacement parts were going to be ordered and shipped directly to me, a third party vendor is going to contact me to schedule an appointment to replace the parts. Frankly, I didn’t spend nearly $3K for the bike & extended warranty to have a third party vendor come out to troubleshoot. I’m not too happy about that. It makes me feel like PELETON is no different than Nordictrack. So keep that in mind before you spend your hard earned money.

TailHappyTV I don’t have the new bike, I still have the old bike, but my iwatch will randomly switches recording stats as indoor bike and peloton bike despite me using the same equipment. It also does this with my peloton tread. Does the new Apple integration increase accuracy of stats I wonder, because I see peloton symbols in my activity log already without the official Apple integration?

the one thing you missed in your review is the fact that the new model uses a load sensor to measure your output and (in other reviews) was shown to be highly accurate when compared to power pedals. This is HUGE since it means theoretically that all the new bikes calibration will all be the same and creates a level playing field on the leaderboard. This was the ONLY new feature that made me take the plunge...and strangely one that is rarely discussed.

Wish Peloton would realize that some of us hard core riders (inside and out) use Garmin watches. I have the Fenix 5X+ plus, and while ANT+ may work on our Bike + (arrives later this month), it would be nice for it to sync up to Garmin's Connect1 app like it does for Apple Watch to keep track of mileage etc. This one app tracks all my fitness activities including indoor and outdoor swimming, running, and riding (many others I don't generally use), but Peloton will not sync, so this is a pretty big bummer. That said, my Tacx stationary trainer, a company now owned by Garmin, doesn't either.... a market share issue, but one I wish Peloton would address given the cost of their bike.

It's a beautiful bike but Peloton didn't do anything that Nordictrack hasn't already done. I am shocked that they didn't make the handlebars more adjustable. The rush to execute an upgrade comes with a personal maintenance cost. I am a 3 year owner of a Peloton bike. Let me rephrase - SIX bikes (all verified swaps). I do like the brand alot - but I will not upgrade until I know all of the issues I experienced on the original bike are resolved with this upgrade - and getting the stats on testing of the new features. That's a conversation I am having with Peloton. Second - the screen rotation - well - that's a real problem. Asking people to not have "fat finger syndrome" and be "mistake free" is just not realistic. Might as well cast the video to a large screen and leave the bike screen alone - lest you end up in unhappy land by breaking it. Finally - the auto resistance is cool - but if you want to go manual then it's an additional step to get the resistance to calibrate to your desired setting. Might as well just flick the knob to get the resistance done. I see it being very useful for people who don't want to fuss around and certainly for the disabled - but not very useful for spin junkies like myself who require control at any given moment in the context of a ride. I'm just not sold right now especially since I have warranty remaining (they compensated me 2 years for 0 dollars for all of the issues I've experienced). BTW - Bike #6's bearings are starting to wear out. I think it's a great brand for people who want to feel cool - but it's not a great brand right now for people who are really serious about fitness.

@@TailHappyTV Well CEO John Foley has too much ego to admit to the issues and deal with them as an adult. So I am sure they will hang their hat on this version for awhile. It's funny - the talk was delivering a cheaper bike - they did - by making a new one and discounting the current version. Sounds like product churn is part of their lexicon. Funny - Keiser M3i is the best spin bike on the planet - and they don't see the need to upgrade it. Anyway - I don't know what to do. TY for letting me share my experience - I am glad/lucky that I workout on my own and don't need a personal trainer. I had and have high hopes for Peloton but right now it's more mirage that reality.
