As someone who can’t get chick peas right and only like hummus, this was perfect!! Even missing the veggie broth and curry powder, it was a hit! It definitely made me a fan of chick peas and I can’t wait to make again.🎉🎉
My husband cooked this for our daughter last night, served with baked sweet potato and flat bread, my husband said it was easy and straight forward to make, both said it was delicious and a keeper recipe. Thank You.
Made this last night, it was a huge hit.. had it for dinner then again for breakfast. Made a side chapati and coconut rice and it was a real treat. Just reduce it for longer for intense curry coconut flavour.
@@korayk1999 Basically, cook out some more of the water to get a thicker sauce. You can achieve this by leaving the sauce on low to medium heat for longer than the recipe instructs. This will intensify the curry and coconut flavours of the sauce. In other words, let the water dry out until the sauce is thick enough for you. Just make sure to monitor it closely and stir it regularly so it doesn't burn. Enjoy!
turned out well not even needing the vegetable stock i just added a bit of water from blending tomatoes 🍅 i didnt have canned so i purred 1 1/2 and chopped the other half in pieces i used 1 tablespoon of everything except the black pepper and salt came out fire 🔥i also used 2 cans of chic peas and 1 can of coconut milk
I tried this , it turned out super yum!! Never knew chickpeas could taste this better with very less ingredients!! Thanks for this! I added ripe tomato and cooked it until mashed and then added chickpeas and. Coconut milk to it instead of tomato paste.
I made this recipe without knowing the measurements and substituted spaghetti sauce for crushed tomatoes, oat milk instead of coconut milk and cauliflower instead of spinach and it still came out Bellissimo which is truly a testament to just how good this dish is!
I’ve already tried several of your recipes and everything come out so good that I think my partner and friends love me much more now than ever! 😊 This is my next one and I can’t wait to make it! Thank you!
Thank you!!!! Your recipes never fail me 😍 I'm not even vegan, but I keep coming back to your channel because it's perfect for someone like me who's still new to cooking (and would like to try different flavors and cuisines). Your enthusiasm is also so contagious! Grazie! ❤
In the state of Kerala, India., one of the most common dishes is Kadala curry. Which utilizes freshly grated coconut ensuring the taste of fresh coconut milk. And it is very traditional. (Just for info)
This is really good. I made this although i didn’t have coconut milk, i made some slight adjustments and blended some of the chickpeas for a creamer consistency and it was a hit. Definitely recommend
I tried for lunch today. OMG! It was absolutely delicious. It was easy and simple to cook. It definitely is going to be a staple dishes on my meat free-day.
Just made this, so yummy and flavorful! Coconut milk is a new staple now :) I swapped the spinach for fresh cilantro and added red lentils and it was delicious 😋
I tried it and loved it ..❤❤❤ instead of chillie flakes I added instead smoked paprika as my curry powder was spicy enough👌...amazing... I liked and subscribed right away....
Hands down one of my favorite meals! It was SO delicious. I could eat this everyday. Only thing I did different was: I added fenugreek leaves (per someone's suggestion), added red bell pepper and mushrooms and I didn't add sugar because I love the savory flavor.
Thank you for sharing! Just made this for dinner. You made this so easy I decided to give it a try. I literally just threw it together no measurements and it was amazing!
The right way of using ingredients for cooking single curry, in one curry the whole nutrition benifits are added which is required for our daily life.👍👌
@@brianabeans4549fresh cilantro will not be as potent as coriander powder, but its the next best thing if you cant find the powder at your local grocery store

I love it! Using olive oil always like a good Italian man 💪💪 (I am Spanish living in Germany and I still cannot understand why they cook with butter haha)
I don't know what the obsession is non Indian have with curry, whenever they see any gravy based Indian itinerary they are declared as "Curry" and blame Indians that they only eat curry😂😂😂😂
I made it 🤤 Thanks 😊 Although I didn’t see a full video for this I was looking for the ingredient portions however I made due with what I had and it taste great. I appreciate the idea to add rice 🍚 my boys loved it 🥰
I have now made a double batch twice and it is fabulous!! A HIT with EVERYONE including children! However, I would cut the liquid in half and add it is it's needed, unless you want more of a soup. I didn't like when what I made was called soup because it was going with rice. Easy peasy fix if a thicker consistency is what you're looking for. Love this recipe!
Wud like to add tht chickpea is heavy on stomach/ digestion.... so better to eat it in lunch rather than dinner. Also u can make amritsari chickpea curry which uses indian gooseberry / pomgrenate powder for adding sourness.
I just made this, I had ran out of meat and grocery day is tomorrow. so I made the one can of chickpeas and coconut milk I bought randomly to use one day in my pantry and...let me tell YOU this was exquisite. omg no meat but you don't need it😭❤️💯 even my carnivore husband loved it!!!
I fried some ramen pasta with sesame oil, added soy sauce and poured the sauce with chickpeas ln top. Then I landed nice omelette with green onions. Power! :)
I make this meal weekly for my meal prep. It’s extremely cheap. Filling and provides me with energy before the gym
I’m going to give it a try this week
What are the macros? I might have to substitute some of the ingredients he listed
How long do they last in fridge?
Awesome! I just made this! Nut with evaporated milk.
I just had some with Chapati. Amazing dish
I make this for my lunchs. Reheats well and you stay full all afternoon
I made it last night and added potato 🥔 and spinach.
Nice

@@korayk1999 Ohh. I see. In that case you can steam or stir fry the red lentils separately and then add them to the sauce when it's almost ready.

I would like to suggest another ingredient. Asafoetida. Adds a different flavour to it and shines especially if you're doing without onion and garlic.
