    I've made enough ISK as an alpha hacking data sites during Winter Nexus last year to get 3600 Plex for 1 year of Omega. I think the best way to do it is to save up for at least 6 months worth of omega in Plex, the discount you get is banger.

      That is an excellent tip!

    Howdy mate! Great video as always! How about one on „What to do BEFORE you go Omega“?
    Like: train the other two chars in your account to 5m SP. Choose what they should be doing. Train the skills in them first, that need longer (attributes), so you can remap (once Omega) to the skills, you‘ll need more of. Train to 5m and then (not before) apply daily login skills.
    And when Omega… first should be Cybernetics V (use unused SP) - +5 Implants, plan remapping etc.
    I know that that is a „farmers“ approach, but it helps to not train at 32 but 45SP/ minute. Meaning that you can train up to 50% more SP/ month, which def. is more motivating for newbros.

    The answer for me was maxing out all my Alpha skill levels (all 21 or so million skill points), along with maxing Informorph Psychology and bringing Advanced Infomorph Psychology to at least 4. Then I bought all the jump clones while in Omega. Now I have a "complete" Alpha character ready, with nine jump clones that can continue to be used in Alpha.
    Next up I will work on Cloaking, Covert Ops, and then the rest of the Scanning skills, so I can have one Omega-only Covert Ops ship that I can use in Omega, without tainting my ship pool with ships that have to be refit when I return to Alpha. After that, maybe I'll do the same for a mining barge.
    The most important thing is, though is that by maxing my Alpha skills completely first, I ensured that I have a full and fun Alpha experience that I can fall back to.

    PI is great mostly passive income, especially if you have it setup on alts that you can just leave wherever you’re doing the PI. For example if you get a starter pack with two MCTs make two alts train lvl 4 for command center upgrades, the one that gives you more planets and gallente haulers… just collect 10 P1 with whatever the highest yield you can find and run 24 or 48 hr resets. You’ll make easily 600mil to 1bil in low sec just selling the P1, NS and WH are even better. For a few hours every month

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah, it's a good side income but I think most folks will do better skilling what they'll enjoy playing, was my point. It's not the "be all end all" that some make PI out to be.

    • @thomashafner2224
      @thomashafner2224 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would definitely agree if you don’t enjoy something don’t do it. But if you’re trying to keep up your Omega with only in game money it can definitely cut down the amount you have to grind in a month

    Thank you for this, Captian! You are a huge help! I just went omega the last couple of days, and as much as I love it, I'm finding some frustration as well. I have felallen in love with exploration, but I'm confused a bit, too. I have been staying in high sec, and to be honest, ALL I have scanned down is combat sites and wormholes. I am still a bit Ned and I have lost 2 ships in wormholes. Both my fault, yes , I have yet to hack one datesite or relic, and I have most of my scanning up to 5 . It's frustrating never finding any data or relic sites, and I assume it's my horrid RNG luck with the RNGods, or maybe i am misunderstanding, and I will never find data or relic sites in high-sec. I have yet to kit out into combat at all, and that will be my next direction, I'm training up all the combat AIR skills athe moment. I'm also very interested in the industry as well. I used your referral link, so I'm glad you get something out if that because your videos. have been a HUGE help. Am I just going about things wrong? Are there no data and relic sits in high sec? Or is my luck and skill just crap 😆

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are sites in Hisec, but they're in high demand. Learning wormholes (especially joining a corp) and maybe even trying Lowsec might help. Just stay frosty!!

      @captainbenzie thank you, I have been very interested in joining a Corp, I was just trying to get my skills in a good place so I could feel I had something to offer the group, but maybe I need to find one to help at this point since I have all my exploration skills to at least 4 and the primary ones (from your video on skills for explorer's) trained up to 5. I have a few contacts from Corps asking if I want to join, but I'm not sure how to decide what Corp is best to join. I've been targeting spec ops cloaking as a skill and getting my combat skills up as well, but I would be very happy to join a Corp. Your videos are really what helped me decide to go omega and pay the monthly fee rathet than grinding for the plex. I will look into finding the right Corp. How does Catskull feel about new explorers who are very willing to learn 😉 you have been a huge help, sir! Thank you very much!!

So much more relaxing the first few days when you don't have the new stuff unlocked with the skills4+ and fits nessessary to warrant the higher price to risk. Then some 5%power and cpu grid skills and gone were all the meta module and hello t2.

    FUN is the most important in any game and EVE is not exception. I play as an alpha for more than a year. Do have 2500 plex and several billions isk in my vallet. But do not need omega. At least not yet. Though is always more complicated to play as an alpha (no T2 ships, no Cloaking) the same time it is a challenge to hack in null, to win T2 abyss in a Worm, to win in a PvP... I'm just fond of EVE - omega or alpha doesnt matter at all :))

    i want start playing the game and i never played it. Is it possible to mainly play PVE in this game cause i have very bad reactions and i dont wanna play pvp with other players. Like mining?

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      PvP is an inherent part of EVE. If you're not actively hunting, that's fine, I don't, but you are still always possibly prey.
      That risk is what makes EVE the game that it is. I've done videos talking about this at length, so I won't ramble here.
      But EVE is also a game where preparation, fitting, and knowledge, beat out reaction time. It's not about quick movements or clicks, but about your strategy, knowing your ship, knowing your opponent, and making the right choices.
      As a miner, that's knowing when you're being hunted and how to escape.
