  • Stock video is about collaboration, working with a curator (sometimes), or keywording which means that you have to be organized.
    I'll show you have to organize your files and name them so that you do not waste time when those clips need titles, descriptions, and keywords.
    Your comments and opinions mater to me. I respond and listen. I don't have all the answers, but I'm eager to talk about it, learn, adjust, and share.
    Here is what I sold in 2023:

    Nice video. I like the logic and simplicity of your file organization. Also I agree about the over thinking comment. And thanks for the mention.

      Any system that makes sense to you will work. I appreciate you watching and commenting.

    Thanks a lot for this video! Just one suggestion though, when recording screen captures it would help if you can do it in 4K so the text and stuff would be easier to read and not be so blurry. Thanks again, the information is very useful

      So sorry. It is poor quality. I’ll see how I can upgrade screen capture.

    Awesome info. Because of your channel I am now starting to put a reel together for blackbox. Hopefully it will be accepted. With any luck, I will make more passive income there than TH-cam! Again...thanks.

      I’d be happy to review your reel before you submit it. I’ve done this for a few others but I’m not sure how much it helped.

      @@boycefitzgerald I'd love for you too. Just working on it now 😁 going through clips. Hope to have it done this week.

      Does stock video accept vertical videos as well?

    • @boycefitzgerald
      @boycefitzgerald  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@onlocationwithscott - yes. They have for about 2 years but there was no sales at first. Now we are starting to see sales regularly. There is a specific way that you have to upload them: rotated 90 degrees in a 16:9 ratio.

      @@boycefitzgerald Yes I just say that on a video. I will not be loading them on my reel though, thanks for confirming that. JUst about done the reel.

    What is the percentage of editorial clips you sell per month?

    • @boycefitzgerald
      @boycefitzgerald  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This month, 18%. But it also matters what you shoot. I was in Sudan during a coup. I was in Iraq when ISIL was attacking - those clips were hot for a while. Editorial can also be just the name of a bank or something but if it is in the news…. Ivan Canabrava shoots 80% editorial and 80% of his sales are editorial.
      The answer to your question is not going to help you create clips that sell. Shoot interesting clips and they will sell regardless of if they are editorial or commercial. Commercial clips do have a higher overall value because they can be licensed for anything.
      Best of luck.
