  • This is my stock video and footage workflow.
    This is in response to some comments and questions I received when I released this behind-the-scenes video:
    • Behind the Scenes: Sto...
    When you do a model shoot, don't forget to upload and add model and property releases. I use this smartphone application which makes this process easy:
    apps.apple.com/us/app/easy-re...
    When you compose your descriptive title, be thoughtful but short. Then put the most important keywords first. The top 10 or 15 keywords carry the most weight. Then list all other keywords. If you have more that 49 keywords, cut out those that are less likely to direct search traffic to your clip.
    That's it. I hope this is helpful. Please consider giving me a "like" and subscribe if you are interested in making money selling stock video and pictures.
    Have a great day and good luck selling stock footage.

    Boyce nice to see you making these videos, but I would advise to blur or cover the sensitive data even more. Now it is readable.

      I got it just so that I could do videos like this but I am going to use it for stock video as well. The microphone has really made a great difference already. But I realize I shake it as I talk so I’m going to set it down and have it track my face so it doesn’t shake as much. Thanks for following and commenting. Much appreciated.

    Thanks for sharing your process. I'm wondering how much difference it makes to have the key words in order of importance. I don't use black box, I upload directly to pond5, shutterstock, and Adobe. I think Adobe is the only one that says anything about order of importance. I don't pay attention to it though, I just upload the csv file exported from pond5 after I enter in everything there. Maybe one day AI will be good enough to figure out all the keywords and we won't even have to bother with it.

      @boycefitzgerald  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi. Great question. If you search “does keyword order matter in SEO” you will find that most search engines do prioritize by order. For sure, Adobe does. Adobe even shades them with the first five keywords in bold and then they fade out as you enter them down the list. I cannot verify which sites or with search engines work this way. I can only pass along what I have found using online resources. I am sure you have typed in short descriptions to find your own clips. If you are doing this and your clips appear using that search then I am sure you don’t have anything to be concerned over. Also, you are probably naturally picking the most important words first because those are the ones that come to mind first. Your imagination stretches after the obvious words. Those obviously pertinent words are going to net most of the buyers looking for your clips.
      Thanks for watching and for your thoughtful comment.

    Thank You !!! Great Explainer Video! I see you are using the dji pocket 3! Do you feel this can produce the required standard for upload to Stock Media?

      Thanks! Yes. The pocket 3 is good for stock video. Use the best settings and be sure low light video is clean - denoise is need on low-light clips. Good luck!

    Very detailed video, thank you! Regarding the keywords, perhaps I was doing it wrong. I was using often keywords with more than one word. For example, in your video, I guess I would have used "old woman, Senior woman sitting, etc". Was I doing it wrong? Thank you once again

    • @boycefitzgerald
      @boycefitzgerald  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, you are not doing it wrong. You can use compound keywords and they can be best for the search engine. It is essential when words have strange meaning without it. For example “school of fish” is much better than “school” and “fish.” If someone searches for a school and they get a clip of fish, they have been misdirected and will be confused. So, compound keywords can be especially effective. You are doing it right.
