- This video is a segment from a wallpaper hanging tutorial released a few months back. I've condensed it to focus solely on the process of pasting wallpaper, aiming to simplify the instructions for viewers.

That's what I like about Phil, he's modest and proud of it.
Properly done the right way as always 👌🏻
Thank you 🙌
Use a roller all day
Nice one Phil, just as I was taught. Brought up on LAP paste lol then moved on to solvite, I know there are some decent tub pastes available now which I’ve used. Those boards with the metal strips are a pain. I just use as a work station. May get around to lining with a 6mm ply one day but just adding to the weight.
Never seen this before thanks Phil 👍 brilliant tutorial 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Spot on Phil 👍 Worth showing how to paste, fold, and hang long drops if the chance presents?
I’m sure he’s done videos explaining exactly this previously buddy, old school proper professional decorator and not just a “painter”. love the instructional videos takes me back to my college days 👍🏻
:) your only as good as the person who should you in the first place,,,, which needs to be the right way :D
Hi Phil. Can you advise me the best way to use a knife when wallpapering, every time I try and use a straight edge with a new blade , the paper always pulls and rips the wallpaper. When I watch people do it like yourself , you make it look so easy. Keep up the great work Phil. 👍
Regards Glen.
Hi, what blade/Knife have you got?
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator
I have a Stanley fatmax , the blades that you snap off.
Thanks for the quick response Phil 👍
@@glenwilkins8587 swap over to an Ofla blade.. check my amazon link out. The Black blades.
Main thing is, don't try to cut wet dish cloth paper.. Lining apper and some cheap wallpapers will snag up. Use shears for those papers.
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator Many thanks Phil. I will check it out 👍
We all know your a fan of wickes tub paste but do you thin it down or use straight from the tub? Thanks
I've gone off it recently.. I think they have changed the formulation.. as its gone very thin.
Have a look at Brewers Albany YELLOW top paste, its how wickes used to be, where you can thin it as required, depending on what you're hanging.
Gloss wood work to a satin or eggshell what are the right steps to get a good finish , many thanks
Have you seen my video on this?
