Mike, I'm glad I found your channel on bending conduit. You make it easier to understand how to bend conduit is multiple situations. I run a handyman business and I've always just went by the seat of my pants for saddle and offset bends. I once had an electrician say, " Don't worry about it, that's why they make couplings" LOL I look forward to using my newly learned talent on today's jobsite.
Man…thanks. I worked in Texas where we mostly used Romex and maybe twice in my 6 years of working there did I have to bend conduit, and it was just a short run and only had a 90 with no offsets or kicks. I moved to Illinois where everything is in conduit. I felt so damn stupid when I got my first job at an electrical company. I told them beforehand I had little to no experience with conduit, so they knew going in. But I still felt like I was starting off fresh, with zero experience in electrical at all. Your videos are definitely helping me
I will be letting more videos go in the next few weeks. More Bending and electrical stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting and I am glad this is helping you ☺
I'm happy to hear that has helped you. I'm working on some more conduit Bending videos. They should be up soon I hope 🤞. I will do one on shrinkage for sure thanks for watching and commenting ☺
You know for 3/4 and have never used measurements I used my finger trick which seemed to work really good. Once you get the hang of it. I don't want to lie to you and tell you that absolutely that measurement will eken, but now I'm gonna have to try it out for sure.
Well I appreciate that comment alot. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad teacher ...I will be adding more bending videos this upcoming winter so stay tuned
Thanks, you explain things in a very practical way. I can’t seem to find your Shepard’s Hook video in the list. Have you made it yet, or am I missing it?
I made it already but waiting for some good weather to make the thumbnail. It will be out with a few weeks. I'm hoping to get the thumbnail done by Sunday. I appreciate you watching and commenting. Keep a watch out it's won't be long ☺
It was just funny to me. How the video was cut, right after you said that you're going to try not to have a long drawn out conversation. Then the video cuts. It seemed to me that you edited out a long drawn out conversation. All the best bro.
Well for my demonstration it was. However your correct I'm working on a wall to show how to figure out how to get the correct measurements and shrinkage etc.

is the 2.5 measurement just use for 1/2 in conduit? or also for the 3/4 and 1"?

I appreciate your comment and watching ☺
Why did you bend the center mark at the star on the bender , and the other 2 bends at the notch ?
I'm not trying to be an azz but did you even watch the video??
How do I get around a beam!? What bend do I need?? Thanks in advanced
th-cam.com/video/UT-3DBdV29Q/w-d-xo.html. Definitely a 4 point saddle
Thanks man very helpful.
My pleasure thanks for watching and commenting ☺

My man 😎
Thanks for this video Sir.
My pleasure thanks for watching
Thank you for you teach me bending pipe, you teach to easy.
My pleasure!
Can you show a compound bend
Working on it. Thanks for the request
Is 22.5 or 22 degrees standard?
Good question. It's labeled to be 22.5 but without precise tools how would you really know. It's 22.5-45-22.5
Instead , make your 45 on the star and the 22.5 on the drop point , sometimes you don’t even have to fix it , it might just be perfect
3 bend saddle was my first ever bend in the field.
Used the push through method.
Wow that's crazy. I didn't learn that bend unit I was better at all the basic bends.
How do you fix a dog leg? Or do I have to grab a new pipe and start over?
I know that I keep saying it but honestly I have a video coming soon on this
You didn't show where the 2 other lines are suppose to lined up on the bender
👍💯 Appreciate
My pleasure thanks for watching and commenting ☺
@@MountaineerOutdoors 👍
Thanku
My pleasure thanks for watching and commenting ☺
On a 3pt saddle the shrink is 3/16”” for every inch of rise.. your center mark should be over the center of the obstruction..
Totally agree
Make a video bending 1in emt with foot bender and a 3 point saddle
Challenge accepted
0:25
😂😂😂😂🤣
The hair?? 😂 😂
It was just funny to me. How the video was cut, right after you said that you're going to try not to have a long drawn out conversation. Then the video cuts.
It seemed to me that you edited out a long drawn out conversation.
All the best bro.
I don't remember but knowing my track record I feel sure 😂 😂 😂.. Thanks for clarifying have a good one.
Next time add 9/16ths to the 1st mark on a 3” saddle..
I will doing shrinkage videos this upcoming year thank you for your comment and watching ☺
Quick question so does multiplying it by2.5 always going to Stay the same no matter what height I get
It's 2.5 times your obstruction. The 2.5 is the multiplier. So if you had an 8 inch obstruction it would 8 X 2.5 = 20.
❤❤❤❤
This is without context of where you are starting to where you need to go. That rando middle mark is not the right way to do it
Well for my demonstration it was. However your correct I'm working on a wall to show how to figure out how to get the correct measurements and shrinkage etc.
Shepard's hook

Useless verbiage
Thanks ☺
