@@ThisBytesForYou seriously, the way you put it together is amazing. You showed common mistakes (like using the wrong memory stick), and the reassurance that the pc will reboot itself and not to worry about it - with the actual footage of it doing so was so helpful, especially for someone who never built a pc before and doesn’t know what it does during the process. Great job!

thats so much my friend, I really do appreciate your kind words and support, it means so much to me. I do it this way for a few reasons, I started building before the internet, so I had No idea of what I was doing hahah, no one would teach me, so I broke a lot of things.
Then, years later, videos started coming out, but people that would teach you how to do things, would FLY through things and not explain anything or really show you how they did it, just boom, see wasn't that easy?
Lastly, I was a product development engineer for Alienware, I was their 20th employee, and I stayed around for a few months after Dell bought them. Afterwards I was a product development engineer for Velocity Micro, so I have been around for years and I want to help people do this on their own, its not hard, but some people learn differently, I want to give people the confidence to do this on their own.
That being said, I know that while teaching people can help, it can't help give people the time to do this or the physical abilities to do this, this is why buying a PC works for some better, and warranties are great too, good and bad with both. So thank you again my friend.

It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. An NPU driver that allows Windows to interact with a dedicated hardware component called a "Neural Processing Unit" (NPU), if you have it, then yes, it is for 8xxx series cpus and above, for example the 8700F. What CPU do you have?

so no, you wouldn't need it, but it wouldn't hurt either, the 7950X doesn't have it either, but I installed it, since it's just an INI, it doesn't really install anything unless there was an NPU for it to install. Today its only the 8700 but tomorrow it will be more, if I only stated the 8700 newer processors that had it, might not get it installed. I hope this helps.

Don't you need to install mouse and keyboard drivers before you enter bios settings? Haven't had a pc since 2013, back then you had to use DIN connectors in order to have a functioning keyboard in bios settings. Now every mouse and keybord use usb type cables and bluetooth.

Anytime bud, happy to help. For the BIOS, you need to make sure your keyboard is at least wired, maybe your mouse too, wireless devices have issues being wireless in the BIOS but not you only need to install the drivers and software in the OS, not the BIOS. Once your back in the BIOS, if your keyboard allows to be wireless, you can disconnect it.

As for installing windows on the new machine, you are changing 2 of the heaviest pieces of the machine, the motherboard and CPU... Windows does a decent job of working, but you will have tons of drivers that don't need to be there and you will have slow downs, crashes and bluescreens, so it is recommended to reinstall windows. Thank you so much for this very specific video. I'm in the process of building a new AM5, but just can't figure out which one. I don't game but live stream a lot and do 1080 video editing in Davinci Resolve. With the great combo deals at Microcenter I was looking at the MSI X670E MAG Tomahawk WiFi AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard they have in their combo deals. My question is, would those BIOS settings apply to this board too, since this is a MSI board as well? I don't build pc's to often. I wait about 5 years before I decide to build a new one. What scares me is, even if you get ram that is on MSI's QV list, people still have trouble. I live like 50 miles from Microcenter and don't want to go back and forth if I get bad hardware which has only happen to me one time in all my pc builds since 2001. I've only done maybe 10 or so builds, give or take a few.. Thanks in advance.

      @ThisBytesForYou  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Sounds good my friend, I edit all the videos in this channel in 4K in Divinci as well. As for the BIOS settings, yes, I dont really do specifics since I let XMP take care of it (unless the memory you buy is AEMP), you can use the links in my description to buy the same parts, if that helps. Those with memory issues are doing something wrong, "usually" there is no issue using memory outside of the QVL, chances are they are not updating the BIOS and not using XMP/AEMP and playing with their own settings.
I am 119.5 miles away from the nearest microcenter, I feel your pain.
I have built thousands of machines, I was originally a builder for Alienware, then I made my way up to Product Development Engineer, years later Dell bought us, then I moved over to Velocity Micro, I started building when I was 13, and learned how to really build when I worked at Alienware and Velocity Micro so I got you my friend.

So that I can help, please list the manufacturer and exact model number of the following components:
      1. Motherboard - manufacturer and exact model number
1a. What BIOS version is on the motherboard, you can find out in the BIOS
      2. CPU - manufacturer and exact model number
      3. RAM - manufacturer and exact model number
      4. Video Card - manufacturer and exact model number
      5. Power supply - manufacturer and exact model number
      6. Monitor - manufacturer and exact model number
Redundant I know, but many people forget to enter manufacturer and exact model number
      7. Do you have ALL of the PCIE connections plugged in, and not daisy chained or pigtailed, each coming directly from the power supply?
      8. Are you running through HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA, any adapters?
      9. Is UEFI or Legacy Setup in the BIOS?
      10. What slots do you have your RAM installed in?
11.Do you have CSM Enabled or Disabled in the BIOS
      12. Is your Hard Drive/SSD with Windows set to GPT or MBR?

@@eycso PCIE, I didn't ask if it was fine, I asked if you were using 2 cables, or daisy chained, if you are daisy chained you will have issues, you came to ask me a question, let me answer it.

Cool, my first language is Spanish, but living in the US, its easier to type in English and my English has gotten pretty good ;) I keep my practice up with coworkers and my mom, in speaking spanish, I dont want to forget or get rusty.
As for the failing, the thumb drive with Windows, did you make it using the Windows Media Creation toolkit or using Tiny11 or Rufus and where does it fail?
