Even singing Ari sounds like Kristin to me. The first time I heard Popular from this trailer I was like " Are they using Kristin's voice for the trailer as an homage?"

I got a full ride scholarship for a year for an essay I wrote about the political climate in Oz from the book and I am in absolute HOG HEAVEN over this preview. I haven't been this excited about a movie in a very, very long time.
Kristin Chenoweth was on Glee, but also on Julie Andrews' Life Achievement Tribute, and Cynthia was there too, Ariana got a sample of My Favorite Things from Julie Andrews, Kristin was on Glee and acted with Lea Michele that acted with Ariana on Scream Queens, Jeff Goldblum was also Rachel's dad(Lea) on Glee and her mom was Idina Menzel, Julie plays the voiceover of Bridgerton where Jonathan Bailey is in...I love these iconics connections😍💗
Ari's voice during Defying Gravity with Cynthia is so powerful and emotional I was this close to tearing up and it makes me very excited when the soundtrack comes out! 😭
If this does not WIN both the Golden Globe AND the Oscar for Best EVERTTHING, they have NO TASTE in what a good movie is anymore. I have not even SEEN the Broadway version, and I am excited. I DID listen to Idina Menzel singing Defying Gravity and she gave me chills and made me cry. Perhaps she can do this song over the end credits, like they did with Celine Dion in Beauty and the Beast.? DAMN this looks impressive, compared to other recent musicals (Cats) and DEFINITELY better than Oz the Great and Powerful. I like Elphaba's makeup and costuming much better here. it seems to be staying true to the story. They are not making Elphaba just another super empowered woman. She has some pain and some cracks and it seems like she FINDS her power through this. THAT is how to properly portray an empowered woman.
I was shouting, "STOP" at the screen when you put in that chloe bailey meme thing, i freaking can't LOL.. Love your reaction to the trailer by the way!

The accent reminds me more of Kristin Chenoweth's character from The West Wing for some reason. But I kind of like it even though it sounds nothing like Glenda's accent from The Wizard of Oz.
These films and the Broadway musical were never meant to be like the MGM Oz film. Disney tried too hard to be connected to it with 'Oz: The Great & Powerful'.
@@COSun25 Do you mean the old movie with Judy Garland? I try to forget that exists, because if it does Wicked makes zero sense, and Wicked is better.
