    I'm really impressed with your hammock system. Build off the back of your tailgate of your vehicle.
    I ordered Adventure hammock systems and I love mine.
    I wouldn't know the first thing about how to build one. I don't have an angle grinder. I don't have a steel cutter. I don't have any of that kind of stuff but I was impressed with your build.
    Kudos to you and the thing really works.
    Happy hammock camping!

    Well you beat me to building one .. and had no idea when I opened my Fresca you’d have one in the video I do like your idea on how you built it and will probably copy some of that in one for myself. In the meantime I have something new in the works already myself .

    You did a wonderful job on this. I might have to make one now. We have so much scrap tubing at work, I wish I knew you needed some.

      Turtle dog stands are pretty cool, pretty simple to build as well. This was a little more involved.

    Man, if I did anything like that in flip-flops, I'd be in the ER with broken toes for sure lol. Super ingenious build there Shaun, can't wait to see it when you have it all welded up! Are you going to leave it as is, or paint it or powder coat it or something as well? Asking that, I realize I might be ruining the next segment.. don't tell me, I'll wait 😀!!

    • @ReWyldOutdoors
      @ReWyldOutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I painted it up, ain't got money for power coating! Lol I ain't gonna lie, I came close to smashing my toes a couple times and did the hot slag dance a few times as well! Lol if you follow me on Instagram, I'll be posting some more pics soon!

      @ReWyldOutdoors powder coating is some serious $ for sure. Nothing a can of rust paint can't emulate to some degree though. Would love to see that dance 😂I'll check you out on IG!

    Hello Brother- Im glad that turned out and works. I was a little concerned at first, but you wont have any concerns once your friend welds them joints good. Projects like this a cool to do even with limited supplies, save money and accomplishment. Are you going to be able to put the tubes in the car when travelling, or are you guys just strap them on the roof? You need to show this new hammock hanger in a future video all set up- cool. Thanks for the video and you and yours be good. Carry On-

      Hey Hagman, thanks buddy. Once its all welded up and finished I'll feel allot better about it. It'll fit inside the car just fine! I'll show it off soon!

    I've priced these on Amazon. One folds up and is $210. No weight limit listed. The other one is $250 and not foldable with 1300 lbs limit. I'm 180 so no worries. Not savvy enough to fabricate one. Enjoy it.

    • @ReWyldOutdoors
      @ReWyldOutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      yeah, I didn't see that the one had a weight limit of 1300 lbs. lol
      But I'm still glad I built mine anyway!

    Great one question, what was the guage of Hammock both arms, as u said the diameter is 1 inch anf quater

    • @ReWyldOutdoors
      @ReWyldOutdoors  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'm not sure what the Guage is honestly, it's between 1/8 and 3/16 thick wall.
      It's heavy black iron pipe from Lowes!

    Heck yeah! Been thinking about making one of these because lot of places dont have enough trees... like central Texas. LOL they have brush and you cant hang from brush. I weigh in at 240 ish. I dont think these 300 pound production models would make it. I have built several knife grinders using tubing for sockets. I have some left over stock. Just wondering how long your hammock is? mine are 11 foot. guess that will be some trial and error to engineer that out....
    comment on putting up a tarp... no need to hang it from post to post. Just stretch it out over the back of the SUV. I can see this being a really neat way to build camp! i could see being a bit creative and putting on two sockets to the hitch piece for the two uprights.. and painting it some funky color for safety like Chevy Orange.....lol you know you going to hit you leg on that!

    • @ReWyldOutdoors
      @ReWyldOutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah man, that hammock is a ten footer. My other hammock is an eleven footer.
      I Built this with the option for both.
      The tarp set up I have is 10x15 and it connects just in front of the sunroof and goes about 8' behind the car. It'll cover the hammock.

      tarps... LOL... growing up we were lucky to have an old sheet and whole filled blanket for the sleeping bag. the black trash bag was the nicest thing we had for a tent. lol...

      Those poles are only 5 feet long. There's room for them! Thanks for watching!
