I have a nibbi 22mm, with a 26mm manifold. Engine would run anymore. Need tuning badly. I might have to go down on jet size & start from the bottom. It starts fine with the pz19
Really confusing. You say bigger carbs don't work as well. Title says "best" carb - PE22. Then you say the pe24 flange works best? So, not the PE24? Just the PE22 with the 24mm flange? Or..?
I bought the carburetor and the air filter. I am thinking about sending the carburetor back because my neighbor said the stock carburetor should work fine. What are the benefits of putting on a new carburetor? Also looking at the stock air filter there is a hose that runs into it. I don't see any place for a hose to go on the nubbi filter so I am not sure how to out on the new one.
When you get the Navy tuned correctly the snappiness of it is much nicer than stock. It revs faster and gets up to speed quicker. That hose is most likely a crankcase breather hose that comes off the engine into the air cleaner certain Chinese bikes have that
@@DanielS784you’ll just want to add a filter to the hose coming out of the valve cover. I’m assuming you’re working on a gx200 or a generic 196cc. They make valve covers tapped for a hose and filter. Or you can rig a filter to the existing hose.
@bearkreekboys thanks is a 22 carb the best bet for 125 I believe I have a smaller one and feel like it's popping and backfiring instead of giving power
So I went ahead and got the 22mm flange even though the bike is a little larger than pitbike size. Right now stock it runs okay but definitely not peppy or high revving it barely sounds like a dirtbike more like a small 125cc motorcycle lol its slow too it builds speed pretty well but doesn't have any real pep to its step. 1st gear is super short and second gear you pick up good speed but there's no real torque. I'm looking to make it into a wheelie machine so I'm doing the 22mm carb and a 13t sprocket up front. If need be depending on how short first and second becomes I may go with a larger rear sprocket also 👌
with mine i have to let it warm up run it up and down the street to get it idling good and no bog do you think i could go maybe for a smaller pilot jet cause i looked at the original jet and its so much smaller than the nibbis but hey i aint complaining i couldn’t get the bike running for 2 months cause the original carburetor broke and the replica mikuni didnt run well. thanks!
The size of the hole in the jet has nothing to do with fuel amount being put through it it's all flow rates of those Jets so there's certain little changes in the design of the hole drilled in it that make it bigger or smaller jet number
You want to go is Rich on the pilot as you can and tell you start sputtering rich and you'll know what I'm talking about cuz it'll sound Goofy but you want to be as rich as you can so that you could good throttle esponse and you get good cold start at idle operation
Hi, I got a pit bike with this Carb, and I can't get it running. I have spark, 75 psi compression when kicked, and fuel looks pretty good. I've also looked at timing, and that looks correct... What should I do? Thanks!
I did some more research this afternoon, and looks like I actually adjusted the valves to 0.04" instead of 0.04mm. 🤦♂️ Otherwise, it's a new spark, new fuel, and the carb's brand new, because the bike didn't have one when I got it. I'll readjust valves and get back to you 👍
110-125cc needs an 18-22mm. No need for a 24mm. 150cc needs a 24-28mm. No need for a 30mm. Speed womt magically be higher if you have a too large carburetor.
So might be silly question but would any of the sizes you mentioned fit my Apollo rfz 110? Having a hard time knowing what is the stock size I want to replace with a Nibbi but can’t order until I know what size to get. Any info helps thanks!
I would just re route that breather somewhere else. Or buy a filter filter for the end of that tube and tie it up to the frame. That's a crankcase vent breather and just goes to atmosphere do not plug, just find a spot so it won't get mud water dirt in.
Very useful video. Thanks for posting. Performance wise, how the nibbi compares with the stock? I am thinking about installing a Nibbi 22 mm in my SSR 110, but some people online are having problems getting them tuned/working properly (in low and high gears)?. Would a Mukini be a better option? I will be waiting for the next videos, for sure 👍🏻
It all comes down to jetting and what type of riding your doing. I'll have some tuning videos on this setup for sure. Main thing is getting nibbi's actual jet kit for the mains and pilots. They have so many sizes. You almost have to get the pilot circuit as rich as possible without making it so choppy. Then getting main jet to pull all the way out and not fall on it's face. I think the Nibbi is way snappier and revs faster than any of the mikunis. We had the Chinese mikuni and stock carbs and nibbi is the best for quick rev and pull on top end. They r similar to a Keihin carb like what's used on the smaller 125 dirt bikes back in the day.
I have the nibbi pe 22 on a 110 and if I blip the throttle quick it bogs to stall. If I slowly accelerate it's fine. Tried different pilots and still no change. High revs seem ok just that quick blip bogs bad with 30-38 pilots and air screw tried for rich and lean😢
so i have a ssr 110 and cant really find any videos of someone doing at carb upgrade its all 125s still think i should go 22mm or 19mm on a 110 ? stock is 19mm bigger is better but i guess thats not always the case but really need help with this one on what carb stock suck appreciate your vids man keep it up
We've ran nibbis on 110 ssr bikes the 22mm. Only thing u will notice is probably a bog off idle if u snap the throttle real hard. A 19mm probably won't give u any real upgrade in performance. Maybe a little better throttle response. I recommend getting the pilot jets from nibbi and main jets to do some tweaking.
Thanks for the heads up i just bought one off some dude for 200$ and my buddy said the carburetors suck ass on them then after a few video i said F it and ponyed up the 60$ for a carburetor also it needed some new parts like the magneto cover and definitely new wiring cause some crackhead looks like they stuck there nose in it. But i wanted it to pull my 200lbs fatass around on it in the woods😂😂. Got that exact carb you have any tips on it? To do not to do
See how it is out of the box. Install it and run it. See how idle and throttle response are. Take it for a ride and see if the wide open is okay or it it bogs down or sputters. Comment on here with ur findings, I found I had to richen up the pilot for sure and also richen the needle clip if it's not at 4th position already. Let me know if u need any more help

PE22 is best, it takes a lot more trial and error with the bigger carburetor (PE24).
So u put oring to oring or vice versa another thing does a plastic spacer go on the other side of the manifold or just the green paper gasket
Plastic spacer is gasket seal to intake, o ring at carb seals that side.

@@bearkreekboys110cc
@@crabrangoon2493 you can do a 19mm one, the 22 required some jetting to make it responsive

Your float is not sealing or the float height is way too high
@bearkreekboys thanks is a 22 carb the best bet for 125 I believe I have a smaller one and feel like it's popping and backfiring instead of giving power
So I got a ssr 110cc stock. Which comes with factory 16mm carb. So if I do a 22mm carb I will not need to do jets or tune? Just bolt on
You will probably have to do some tuning, they usually will run out of the box but for best performance some adjustments are needed
What is the inner diameter of your intake manifold
I'll have to measure again
Introducing your friend valve float with a larger carb, be carful or you'll make some valve to piston love at high RPM
The power till top end would still be better given you open up the exhaust and intake
What size main and pilot jets?

Am going to be ordering a nibbi race carb for my 90cc pitbike should I go with the 19mm or 22mm?

I have a larger 125 pit bike the Xpro X6 and it comes with a jingke 26mm but I'm wanting to put maybe a 24mm flange nibbi?
