I just experienced the same thing myself on an ice bear champion with a performance exhaust. After 3 days of extensive trial and error bouncing between jet sizes and both 22mm and 24mm nibbi carbs on the same bike over and over again doing the same test ride each time... The 22 pulls harder and holds speed going up hills better. In fact, it was an average of 7mph faster at the top of the hill than the 24. However, The 24mm did hold 3mph higher top speed every time on level ground. CONCLUSION: although both carbs make power power than stock, even with a free flowing exhaust, the 125cc engine just doesn’t have enough velocity to fully utilize the 24mm anywhere below the very top of the rev range, and it’s just barely starting to flow fast enough at that point. Where as the 22mm makes power all the way across the powerband.
Perfectly said. I'm glad you tried it out and commented. I've had a lot of people say try a 24mm or a 26mm. There's just no need until you're making more power than the stock 125cc engine.
I have a 90cc scooter and have a 24mm cvk carb works but I was told to get a 21mm slide carb for better performance so that's my plan at a later date thanks for the info
Just ordered a couple of these bikes on the amazons... and saw this video and ordered the carbs you linked in that comment before I even have the bikes. lol shaving a whole second off is substantial. Stoked to shred.
You are going to love them. I knew it felt a whole lot faster, but I hadn't seen anyone do a test to compare how much faster, so I thought it would be worth showing everyone.
Another upgrade you might want to do is the rear shock. Sometimes they come with a fully adjustable one and then sometimes they come with one that is fine as long as your not hitting big jumps. th-cam.com/video/rvDR5j_qBC8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/B8dPZJLnBc8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/IqTVZdrPYgE/w-d-xo.html
Thanks, I'm glad you found the channel. I just put the same carburetor on my brothers bike today and got the same results. Runs great and super crisp / quick throttle response. I have the links in the description, I will put them in another message.
Do you have an email address? I can send pictures. It's very little room above the carburetor though so the angle your looking to see might be difficult to capture.
@@MartinRacingChannel you're going great! I hope yt doesnt throttle your views down- they like doing that. @ThePreppersBunkerOutdoors Yeah the first video we put out has almost 70k views and the rest of the videos were around 1000. Here lately, I'm lucky to get 250 views. It's strange... $550 shipped is a deal! Send me the link.I want to buy my son a semi auto version of the bike. You will definitely get your money's worth. I ride with a friend that has a 132cc big bore crf 110, and it holds its own against it. He rides more than me and raced in the pro class on big bikes, so he's faster than I am, but speed wise, it's right there with it.
It's been so long ago I can't remember. I'll try to go through some old videos and see if I can find what I was running if not. I have the carburetor in the box I can look and see what I did.
My stock carb on mine stopped working so i got myself the nibbi 22mm and i haven't been able to get it to since then. I tried out different jets for it as well without much of a difference for it. I was debating on getting a copy of the stock carb for it and see if it'll work but idk
@MartinRacingChannel yeah it ran fine with the stock carb for a while but then there would be no throttle response for it, it would die, and then take like 10 minutes to start again. So i got the 22mm and now it won't turn on at all, even after switching out jets for it
@@SergeantSoapy ha e you tried putting the stock carb back on to see if it will start? It sounds like you have a different issue than fuel. Do you have an xpro storm?
@MartinRacingChannel not the xpro storm but i have the xpro x9. I reinstalled the stock carb on it this morning and it hasn't started running after almost 30 minutes of trying to kickstart it
Worked perfectly with the stock throttle cable. I am very impressed with the performance gain and the feel of throttle response compared to the stock setup.
@@MartinRacingChannel Sweet mine should be here this week. What did you do with the stock crank case vent system that recirculated back to the stock filter? My plan is to get rid of it and just run a single hose down behind the swing arm.
I have a Pentor 125cc and a Nibbi 22mm. I set it up as you showed. Everything works fine but there is bogging at the bottom. From zero trottle there is bogging. There is no bogging at higher rpm. I didn't change any nozzles.
@martapatalan3490 all bike are a little different my brother and I had the same bikes and I had to turn the screw more on his bike than mine. The air filter your running plays a big part. When running the uni air filter, I have to turn the air screw more the left. When running the nibbi air filter, it has to be turned more to the right. Once you get it dialed in you'll be happy. Sometimes it just takes a little more work than others.
Both are acceptable, but if the 110cc is stock, I would use the 19mm because it will be easier to tune. If you are planning to upgrade the 110cc with a racehead , hi compression piston, camshaft, etc... I'd probably get the 22mm.
Quick question so I put my nibbi pe 22 on an u was right straight out the box it was perfect I did have to play with the idle that's it but I put the nibble foam air filter on an my old carb had a tube that connects to the filter this filter does not so do I disconnect the the tube since there ie now where to connect it to ??? I just rerouted the hose to hang behind the engine to the left of the rear shock. Another person in the comments said they put a little air breather filter on it and put it in an area that it didn't interfere with anything. It's up to you...

Just an observation, you built power at take off for the holeshot with the stock carb (except for one). You built power before takeoff with the nibbi, this makes a world of difference for times. IMO the holeshot technique was more in play than the carb. A truer output test would be to leave it pinned and only clutch to shift plus build power before takeoff. Regardless, great video and thank you for your efforts!!! My daughter would practice holeshots for hours, I was afraid she’d blow the engine at the gate lol th-cam.com/video/bJVSFcn_FUk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pwl7bIDbPVw6DFeA
I tried to be as consistent as possible throughout each round. Since it's impossible to be perfect, I averaged the times to show the differences. You can definitely tell a big difference in performance with the 22mm nibbi carb.
Let us know what you think will perform the best before you see the results.
I think the 22mm nibbi will be best
lol I was right , just from experience owning both carbs 😭
@lilkd4385 The 22mm burns the fuel more efficiently on the smaller engines. I think the 24mm would be fine on a 140cc or a little larger engine.
I just experienced the same thing myself on an ice bear champion with a performance exhaust.

@SergeantSoapy That's what I figured. It's not going to be the carburetor. You need to check and make sure you're getting spark at the sparkplug.
